32 meaning tier 9 power, which can define a toon ( eg fire imps required on a fire/kin )

agreed, allthough fort ahead of ice/ss. Ice/ss ( and at a push ice/nrg ) just means blue isn't completely whitewashed
and ...

whoever told you that was a good 1v1 pvp build, even with I12 rules needs to be shot

If you want large amounts of Inf over a long period of time, then farming is your best option.
It doesn't have to be boring, set up three different farming maps and alternate. I specifically have a farm map with an AV on it, to break up the monotony.
Other than that, playing the markets is the only other option.
Decide, is inf the goal or fun? If inf == fun then farm away

ps : I get a purple for about every 10 hours of play, I would complain to the management if I were you -
Red or blue ?
Post 32 or pre ?
IO sets or not ?
Answers vary according to the above responses

brutes.
Perhaps because I haven't rolled a ss/wp brute, but I just find them *very* boring to play.
I love playing defenders for some reason, I think that they can be one of the most fun AT's in the game. Granted, solo isn't so hot but meh!

Just noticed whilst fiddling with the base this morning, there is a new section in room-addition ... "Resources"
Under this is an option for a 4x4 room called "Warehouse" which has a limit of 25 Storage in it ???
Given than a *plot* can only hold 18 storage atm, I am led to assume that there is a possibility that Dev are looking at increasing that limit.
That will be great news as far as I am concerned, but wondered if anyone had heard anything that I've missed?

I *do* like the idea.
There's several other thing I would like to see first however, and I think the implementation could do with some work. eg, a choice of whether or not you use the new anim.
As an additional coding headache, different anims against different levels would be fun. To use your example, levitating a green mob should be a flick of a finger. Doing the same to a purple boss should mean the constipated-two-handed-grimace-of-brain-squeezing-out-through-ears animation
I like the concept a lot though.

June/July sounds about right.
As for races, I like your idea. Possibly a heroes vs villains race too, difficulties to be decided by the team leaders on a per mission basis
From the experience of this run, I would say anything over an 8 hours time-limit and you'll likely see a huge drop in xp/sec. When you can't take a proper break, it really impairs your play.
NOTE : in todays health and safety nanny state, I recommend that you take at least a 73 minute break from the monitor per 18.4 minutes of gameplay.

Very nice write up that.

Very impressive indeed Although you could have saved a minute by not arranging the powers in the powertray?
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks both, much appreciated
Hadn't noticed that sponge has sorted powers, I will have a word and berate .... we could have hit 7 hours 45 minutes !

Welldone, Fahie.
Of course that wasn't what i had in mind at first i read your original post but congrats.
I wonder how far a even level team go on a Double XP weekend, all beginning from level 1 and doing regular missions instead of sticking to one map. Maybe i will try to organize something like that on next double xp whenever it will be.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what I thought ye were doing too, a 1-50 team over the weekend.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would have taken a bit longer methinks :S
Nice idea if someone is up for it on a dxp weekend though
Fahie -
A bit poor on my side. Blaster 37-38 and a couple of villains into the teens.
Having said that, we spent most of Saturday doing a 1-50 fast run.
If anyone is interested, we've put some details up here

A day late, but for those that are interested, a full breakdown of our run including screenshots is here

Well done. That's awesome.
I imagine you're thoroughly sick of that map now.

Well i dunno what level he is now, but me and a friend on the US side did 1-38 in 3 hours, but i had to work the rest of DXP so i dunno how long it took for 38-50, ill ask and post back.
Good job btw
I have my own record for lvl 1-50 in 29 hours but that wasn't on a DXP weekend
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks
We hit 38 in 3 hours 10 minutes, so sounds like you might have been running very slightly quicker than us.
After doing this, we believe 40 is the half-way point with regards to time when doing one of these.

Wow, that must have been really exciting for you!

Exciting definately not the word I would use
But there was a sense of accomplishment at the end of it.

There are no short cuts to a true level 50 !

Well, since we all have several level 50's achieved the "old-fashioned" way, it was time to try something different
I don't want to do it again for a long long time though :S
Fahie -
Well .. we did it.
1 to 50 in 7 hours 46 minutes.
Congrats to our SG member, the aptly named "Little Miss Sponge"
Character created at 10.12 this morning, levelling up at Castle to 50 completed at 5.58 pm
Will put the screenshots up tomorrow for confirmation. Ok, I know they could technically be doctored, but they haven't been, you'll have to trust me on that
We ran a six person team for most of the day, dropping to 5 for a couple of hours at one point.
Map used was the demon farm, with a switch to battle maiden for one run when the mission reset bug was encountered.
Two fire/kins as main xp gathering, running seperately up each side of the map. Backup provided by other controllers to assist in mezzes and additional damage output where required.
Bridged up to 44, sk'd to a 50 until 45 and then freerun until 50.
We *could* have done it quicker. We lost at least 30 minutes due to bio breaks and sandwiches.
We also lost a small amount of time by forgetting to turn xp back on for the bridge once the lowbie hit 43. This meant we had to SK to 50 rather than the bridge hitting 47 and giving better xp from 44->45
It is possible to do in 7 hours I reckon.
Anyways, eyes now gone very swirly from a straight 8 hours in front of the monitor. If anyone wants to know anything else about the run, please give me a shout. I'm off for a drink
Fahie
ps
Special mentions to the core of the team :
Bloody Rose ( fire/kin/psi )
Doctor Dimmock ( plant/rad )
Little Miss Magic ( fire/empath/fire )
Little Miss Sponge ( TA/Archery/Sponger )
Other toons used as fills and bridges
And me, Imp Mistress ( fire/kin/psi )

Out of interest Damz, have you tried disabling all advanced graphics and turning the brightness/contrast on you monitor up ?
We don't want the dark rooms to be .. well .. non-dark now do we ?

I know that one of the first VEATs took 20 hours and that was before perma bridging and not during DXP so you should get below 10 hours really
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, we're starting at 10.00am and plan on going out for dinner in the evening, so we only have 9 hours anyways
Should we fail on that at least we'll know what's in store for the next dxp weekend.
Fahie -
[ QUOTE ]
Will you let us know how it goes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Only if it goes well -
[ QUOTE ]
Well with perma 46's now available i'd imagine it would be possible to do it faster than ever now.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hence we reckon we have a shot
Perma-bridge already set up
Fahie -
Thanks for all the replies people.
We may well give it a shot and see how we do
Fahie -
Hi all,
I have in the back of my head that there is a speed record for getting a character from level 1 to 50.
So, if anyone knows;
a : Is this true?
b : How long did it take? ( I have a memory of something like 7 hours on a double xp weekend )
c : Was it official ( dev confirmed ), or did they just take screenshots ?
Reason I ask, some friends and I want to take a shot at said record on saturday

easy, have friends of YOURS team with each member, and verify that they have killed the total number required, and been to the appropriate locations within the rules. Plus a log of the combat window will show how many have been killed and the help window will show that they didn't have external help.
Despite not knowing youI would volunteer for this duty if you want.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lol !!
So, assuming only 10 people enter, you still have to arrange 10 'mentors' who will verify that they have killed 500/40/10 of whatever, by manually checking their combat logs ??
You may be up for doing that, I can't imagine many others who would.
Outbreak isn't a bad idea though. You can't get SK'd, it's a closed loop and you could do the infected badge.
Still got a problem with people racking up 50 infected, then relogging.
Also, those with vet reward powers will obviously have an advantage.
