Just a heads up, but we'll be adding the extra powers in as an extra level 43 power, and keeping the existing powers exactly where they are.

We are doing this because of the constructive feedback we got during closed (and now open) beta.

We're in serious crunch mode to get this done though, so I'll skip writing more info until we're done tonight.

Surely if I wan't an AoE confuse I'd play a Mind Controller and not a Defender?? and.. oh wait, yes I have a Mind Controller!

Confuse is the most frustrating power to play when on a team, because the team always kills the confused enemy.
Whoop Dee-Doo, I'm giving them 10 targets instead of one, and I can do that on my mind controller when I get Mass Confusion.

edit. oh, and Mag2 confuse won't even knock a boss out of the fight, so all his minions will ignore me for I don't know how long, which as a defender is unlikely to be long enough to kill the boss, then when the confuse wears off, they'll be more than unhappy with me because of the rather pathetic Psi damage that I tickled them with, and I'll have the entire group on me, end result = likely debt.

EPIC FAIL!

Having done the ITF a couple of times I've seen both methods work. 1st all guns blazing, defeating Romulus 4 times without seperating him from the nictus (damage heavy team) 2nd by seperating him from the nictus, still killing him 4 times, but without him having the added heals from the nictus. I haven't tried picking the nictus off one by one yet, but wouldn't mind giving it a try when my blaster is closer to 50, I imagine it's a bit like a mini hami raid if you're not a range AT, as you have to sit on the hill cracking jokes

I've been on one attempt at the ITF where team make up wasn't good and we failed. The reason for this, I think was because the tank that we had on the team was tbqh useless, For someone that's a 3yr player, and claims to have successfully done the ITF several times he didn't have a clue about the ITF at all, let alone what to do to in the fight against Rommy. We weren't particularly damage heavy, so with a little (helpful) suggestion from the team when we tried to get the tank to seperate the nictus from Romulus. After dragging the AV's all over the team, the tanks response was that it was impossible to seperate Romulus from the Nictus(I know otherwise). we had a brute taunting Romulus, but I think that the tank was taunting Romulus as well, thus breaking the brutes taunt, and preventing us splitting the group. needless to say, that tank won't be joining me on any TF again, and a re-run of the TF a day or 2 later the proposed tactic which was snubbed worked a dream...

Thus, make sure that whoever is tanking Romulus has atleast a bit of a clue about how to take care of the AV. they don't need to have done the TF before, but listen to suggestions from the team, and if all else fails, point them towards the forums and perhaps to this thread.

It also doesn't back out to ranged if people move towards it though so can end up in melee. My Phantasm really doesn't like melee range and stays the hell out of it

if the grav controller had recall friend, that would make it easier to deploy the singularity where u want it... although the AV's on the STF don't like the singularity much, in my experience if the singularity gets too close they kill it double quick!!

I think that a 2nd FF would probably be more helpful in the long run..
I guess it depends how quick we hold/kill the AVs since it's the AVs that we're more likely to have a problem with (by more problem I mean, mobs are pretty much gonna be perma-mez regardless and the AV we'll need to stack the Mez up)

count me in, I'd like it on my stone tank(ruby flame), don't think she has stealth, invis or tp.. and can't remember whether she has the contact open, but it sounds like you have enough people with the contact open anyways. if you need a different character, then I can swap
