  2. This thread has been a godsend. Thanks for the great info.

    Since hover was not actively needed to gain soft cap, i made this build to try to remove my requirement for maneuvers and get combat jumping in there for combat maneuverability.

    Please let me know how this looks and if there's any way to tighten it up and squeeze some more bonuses out of it. Or if I've totaly overlooked a hole.

  3. Do you have any recommendations for how to work Fly into the Cheap build for Elec/SD My concept needs it, but I'd really like to not sacrifice too much for it.

  4. I want to make the Cheap Elec/Shield build, but i have a question. Can hover replace combat jumping? Meaning they look like the same amount of +Def in the builder, is that correct? And can I use all the AOEs while hovering?

  5. Just added info: I've been mostly soloing since about 35 becuase of my play time and horid internet connection. Since 38, I run missions at +1 x8 (no bosses).

    I guess I'm torn between spending on those few pricey uniques or some kind of sets. Also the damage vs def. Since this is the first toon I've ever IO'd I'm a poor judge of which sets are worth it.

  7. Excuse my ignorance, but is there a way to softcap (or be darn close) without spending billions? I've managed to muster up nearly 60 million. But after looking at other build posts for SD/SS and doing some price checking, those builds seem to be so far out of reach I'd need a space shuttle to get to them.

  9. I've been looking over a lot of posts and it seems I can't find a SD/SS without hasten.
    I was wondering if it's that important to the standard build. And what would I lose if I don't use it?
    I worry about handling the crash from that plus Rage. I keep AD on auto fire so that means I would have to manually manage Rage and Hasten. Is this wrong? Also understand that ATM I'm lvl 34 and have no IO sets, and not enough inf to buy any serious ones right now (about 35mil to my name.)

    If leaving out hasten is doable, could someone post a build without it?
    Lastly is there anyone who could post a good low budget IO build that works on +Def.

  10. I've tried, nearly every suggested workaround out there (can't mess with my router though) and nothing has help to date. I hope this is addressed soon. This has gotten me very close to /uninstall.

    I will try this. At this point I'm willing to try near anything. Last night I was Mapservered every 15-30 minutes. This went on for about 2 hours until I quit in frustration.

    This very accurately discribes my situation as well. There is no one thing that seems to make it happen more offten then not. It happens at least one per mission, very often when I fight the first mobs, sometimes two times per mission, though if it does happen a third time I usually just quit at that point. Many time when I first log in, within the first 10 minutes it will Map me also. Solo or grouped there seems to be no difference.

    No I know my internet is not great, on a good day my ping is at about 900 and I watch my netgraph every session and will often get lots and lots of red and yellow pops. But the mapserver thing just started since I17. A few times I've been able to go for an hour without a drop. But that's been very rare lately.
  13. Since the latest I17 I can't run a mission without getting Map servered at least once, often times 2, 3 or 4 times. It will either say Mapserver Disconnected or Lost Connection to Mapserver. Anyone have an idea?

  15. @Gaidin: This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a ton. I made my toon last night and got him to 15 before I was this reply. I must say I was very happy to see that I'm very close to your leveling build (with the exception of not taking hasten.) Even the sloting levels are the same. The fact that I'm not the only one with Smite/Shadow Maul/Sand of Mu is comforting, lol.

    I do have a question about AAO. Since I'm not taking SS could AAO be taken at 16 or is there some other reason you help it until 28.

    I noticed a lot of posts about awesome softcaped IO'd DM/SD scrappers. But I'm just starting well actually re-re-restarting (fourth time's a charm) and was wondering if anyone could help me with a leveling build. I can't seem to slot properly with just SOs and generic IOs. I solo a lot becuase I'm in Iraq and connection doesn't make grouping too playable, and I have made more trips to the hospital then i care to mention. The highest level I've reached was 27, but I scrapped him last night.

    I'm remaking my toon becuase I finally have a concept that I think will keep me motivated and would love an edge with this tight build.

    Also I have ninja run so travel power is not required.

    I'm not rich in fact with about 20m across all my toons I guess I'm considered down right poor, but at what point (or level) should i start adding IO sets?
