Except that Villains already get the same costume pieces as heroes and then some. And there are some real heroic looking villains running around right now. So they can't use that argument.
And, besides, haven't you heard, you can't judge a book by it's cover? And isn't that part of the premise of characters such as Wolverine and Hulk and other heroes that the populace is scared of on sight? -

Um... The enemy has a big ol' ORANGE reticle around it, regardless what it is or what it looks like in PVP. Not very hard to mistake.
And, because the hero options are available to the villains, there are some very heroic looking villains wandering around. So... so much for that theory! -
Agreed. Cat people need to be more than having a cat face make-up job and costume ears, and can be very heroic (*cough*Lion-O*cough*. There is no reason why we can't have heroic lizard people, too. I can understand if you want to keep the Warwolves at first over in CoV,though. But I'd still like the furry body option.

With all due respect, wouldn't it be better and simpler to just increase the bonus given by the To Hit/Damage Resist/Defense Buff enhancements?

SG bases will not be purchased with Influence, they'll be purchased with something called 'Prestige', and you'll earn Prestige for the SG while you are in SuperGroup Mode.
Zeb said they'd be datamining for this so that once Prestige is implemented, already active SGs will have lots of it.
So, if we want to have a rockin' SG base as soon as we can, we should all start playing our X characters in SuperGroup Mode, pretty much all the time.

Well, this would kind of suck for those smaller supergroups that are just family or a few friends.
Still, I played a lot of games at GenCon (didn't think to ask Statesman about the bases when I talked to him, so I can't deny or confirm the above rumor) and I didn't find any that compared to CoH, so I can't complain much. We'll just have to see what happens. -

We are continuing to look at the set. Being one of the new sets in the game, it is going to be scrutinized beyond just the Training Room server.
If the set continues to prove itself sub-par on the Live servers, then some adjustments will be made.
This was one of the hardest sets to define. It falls out of line with the "normal" Defender sets. It isn't a buff set, its a debuff set. Its really a different playstyle than Defenders have had before.
For those who complain that the Archetypes who have the fewest sets were overlooked... the next planned powersets are melee based.

I and many others here would disagree with you on that. I respec'd mine and I was not happy with it at all. It's too end heavy and the recharge rates are totally unacceptable. And Flash arrow is pointless. -

Please do not nerf the Trick Arrow set. It is wonderful as is. I think you and your peers are misunderstanding the critique of some. The problem that some people are having is that the nature of the powers seems to be more suited to a blaster's secondary or controller's primary than it does to a defender's primary.
Not that I am complaining, mind you Indeed, I do play my Trick Arrow/Archery defender offensively, some would say "Blastfender", with good results. This is the first Defender set that I really enjoy playing.
I do notice that the TA/archery combination is rather an endurance hog, but one would assume that was to compensate for the high accuracy.
I also notice that Ice Arrow does not deal the cold damage the text says it does. I hope that this is a bug as I would assume it would act in the same fashion as the controller's Block of Ice. So I would really appreciate seeing some damage from my frozen foe.

So will anything be done to even the scales for those who have been playing longer, say have toons in the 30's and 40's who are in a world of debt?
And does this mean that Issue 4 will be going live very soon since you're now talking about Issue 5? -
Could this be made into a macro instead?
