  1. I would also set my fortune teller to auto accept if we had the option.

Are there even any negative fortune teller buffs?
  2. While we're talking erronious taunt durations, I think shield scrappers taunt aura is longer duration than tanker auras, although maybe not shield tankers.

It's annoying enough that if I have to spread out my taunting between a bunch of stuff, I tell them that I'm not going to try to out-taunt them and if they want less agro they'll have to turn off the aura.
  3. Difficulty by giving enemies hit bonuses, damage bonuses, defense bonuses, having enemies move around instead of standing in place waiting to get jumped, etc: good.

Difficulty by making your powers not work, having certain enemy abilities go through your powers, by enemies getting such a large hit bonus that it will go through whatever defense you have, etc: dumb. That includes your proposed taskforce: dumb.

Hami; I'll give him his autohit lameness in order to reduce server lag due to players using fewer powers. Mag 100 stuns and such are still pushing it though.
  4. Exactly how do the pet uniques that add resist and such work? Only when the pets are within 20 feet of you or so?
  5. I like short names. Elfis, Yay, Max, Coot, Sprite, etc. They're all long gone now; good thing I reserved a ton.

The very fact that long names with multiple words are allowed goes a long long way to alleviating the name crunch though.
  6. All you guys' theorycrafting about how taunt works based on the vague formula given by the devs simply doesnt match up to what you can plainly observe in game. If I put an 80 second taunt on a mob and have hit it for 10 damage with mud pots, and meanwhile another tank hits that mob for 1500 damage over the course of the previous 10 seconds, with his 13 second built in taunt, I still have agro... Which is exactly the way it should work in my opinion.
  7. I logged in and my shadow shard mission was in skyway city and my contact was "unknown". I just went about my business, hoping my enhancers werent going to get corrupted or something, until it went down again.

Ran a pug STF in 1:40 during that time though heh
  8. The ridiculous waste of combining two 52 enhancers boggles my mind. I've made all my 52+s by combining 52s with... 50s...

If you never sell it on freedom, there's some way to strip the + off it so you can sell it in wentworth's.

    Worst Mobs Ever.

I only hate enemies with powers that are ridiculously overpowered compared to other powers in the game or compared to the counters available to you.

For example, if a plasma laser happens to hit my tank (from vanguard I think?) it gives like 500% regen debuff for 30 seconds or so I think. Something like that - the mastermind robot pet laser is I think 1000% regen debuff for 30 seconds if it hits you in pvp... So this little laser hits me for about 30 damage... PLUS 2400... because it turns off my 80 HP/sec regen for 30 seconds. Not satisfying.

Rularuu eyeballs. 100% hit bonus. Then when they hit you, they add ridiculous amounts of defense debuff. So unless you eat 10 lucks, they're going to hit me about 10 times as much as almost anything in the game. Not satisfying.

Sappers; it's been ages since I've seen one, and a post above says they've been nerfed so I don't know if it's still the case, but I remember when they could one-shot you. You could sit there and tank a roomfull of bosses, but one sapper hitting you and that was it - toggle drop dead.

Un-resistible crit damage. Crit that does double damage: a worthy addition to the game. Crit that does 11 times normal damage: dumb.

Detoggling - Once again, this can just suddenly one-shot you if it detoggles something you were depending on to live, like mez protection. Not satisfying.

Lesser offense - caltrops. I always wondered why the devs have such an enormous hardon for caltrops. They hurt you. Makes sense. Slow you. Makes sense, except that if you're taking all this damage it's probably because you're not being careful to avoid them because you'd like to move. Auto-hit... umm... 'kay. Disable jumping... uh... 'kay... Then they got made 10 feet tall... I remember trying to hover above enemies and punch them while the caltrops ticked auto-hit damage on me from the ground below. So much dumbness.

Lesser offense - Ghost widow's hold. Since it's an AV on the last taskforce, it's almost ok... but... Mag 100? It has to at least take few enough breakfrees to escape that I can click them all before I die. Mag 50 would still get the point across without requiring unprecedented levels of buffing. to survive.

Lesser offense - toxic damage and other attacks that don't have a damage type defense. If you use typed defense you just take all pure toxic damage to the face. Only reason this kind of thing doesn't drive people mad is that lucks are crazy good. Well, that and the fact that positional +psi covers everything, and almost doesn't even need psi since most psi attacks have position too. Why can't toxic attacks just hit fire defense?

I muuuuch prefer enemies to be mildly buffed overall than to have them mostly be helpless, with just a few powers that suddenly jump out and screw you over.
  10. The look isn't the greatest, but I love the mechanics of the set; please don't change armor stacking or anything.
  11. tried logging in my widow to check attribute window, but it doesnt say anything about elusivity, nor does the powers window.

I think the problem is found: some of the sets that claim 30% elusivity actually get about 50%, and unlike the diminishing returns you get in most of pvp, elusivity gets massive increasing returns. 50% elusivity will turn 300% accuracy into 150% accuracy.

It's tough to judge the numbers when you're actually playing, because you play random people with random builds. I'm a numbers guy and this would explain a lot.

Edit: Energy Aura also seems to have enhanceable elusivity. In overload, you could get about 80% elusivity to all. A character with 300%! accuracy attacks AND to hit capped at about 30%, attacking the energy aura character self-buffed to about 50% def would have a:

(3*.2)*(.5+.3-.5)=18% chance to hit. That's pretty much the best chance anyone can get to hit this character, and this is not pff; the character can still attack.
  12. I was looking at powers on city of data, and see widow's elusivity doesn't say ignores enhancements and buffs like most of them do. Does that mean that their 30% elusivity is actually 50%? If true, that just killed all my pvp desire right there and I take back my previous position that pvp was improved with i13.
  13. One caveat, taunt is actually a status effect in coh, and will override all aggro. Gauntlet is a taunt. Taunt durations increase with level.
  14. to original poster: Agree with almost everything.

You don't brawl enough. Toggle drops are lame and broken vs anyone who relies on toggles.
