Hey peeps!!

Thought I'd drop in after a year of being away...For those who know me I cant wait to log on and say hi in person for those who dont, I'm Electro Mag some may call me a kinda veteran, I'l be looking fowards to meeting players that have joined since I was away. I see that you have a Hami Raid going. I have lead a raid in the past + helped to organise a few. I'd be more than happy to help with this if help is needed
I shall keep an eye on post to see how things develop. Hope to see you all in Paragon City very soon....

Well we gave it a good go last night, shame we only got as far as the previous time, good effort from every 1 who was involved, it looks like defeating hami will only happen as a rarety. Still, i had fun hope you guys didnt get too bored. I supposed I'l c u at the next 1.

What you got in mind rather than the Holding stage? I noticed last time that we were taking hp off hami wen we still were trying to hold him, as soon as we all stopped trying to hold him it went crazy. Maybe we can hit him while tanks taunt from the other side? If this doesnt work an aoe attack from hami will spell the end, if he lands two attacks the whole mob is gone. I'm intrigued to hear what you have in mind.

Nefarious what time are you doing this? I belive the date is set for tomorrow, but it seems we have even less people sigining up than last time. Have you any reserves sum were? If all we have is the peeps who signed up ere were gona b in a worse situation than last time let us know what you think m8.

Big thanks to every one who turned up. All elected team leaders done a blinding job relaying info to their team leaders, every one who took part was great last nite all was patient and very co operative. I personally feel a lil gutted I was not able to lead you to victory, I tried my best guys but it seems that after I6 we need more trollers. I did think it was going to be a tight 1 and it was, nether the less we found out the hard way next time we know what to expect after I6. Thanks again to every 1 who came along shall see you for the next one.

Start Time

Gather at Hive entrance at 7.30 we will head off at 8pm, this should give 30min to make teams and allow other to attend. I am hoping my headset for team speak arrives today or I will have to communicate by chat See you there peeps

THE PLAN!!!

Meet at the Hive entrance for 7.30pm

Raid Leader - Electro Mag
Targeter - Electro Mag (Unless we have a clued up volunteer)
PA Team Leader - David Pyron
Blaster Leader - Sharp Shot
Tank Leader - Pryo

1) We will form teams at the entrance
2) Once we are satisfied with team we will make our way to Coward's Hill (South of Hamidon)

Phase 1 - Mito Clearing
1) PA drop team will begin dropping asap
2) Every one to target the targeter's Mito's
3) Once Mitos are cleared we will retreat to Coward's Hill

Phase 2 - Holding Hamidon
1) After retreat holding team will move above Hamidon and begin to hold, at the same time aggro control will taunt Hamidon. While this is going on all Empaths will provide heals and buffs.
2) Aggro control announces Hamidon is held.

Phase 3 - Finish Him!!
1) Depending on turn out and lag this part of the plan will be flexible.
1a) If we have loads of lag - Assault team (blasters nd scrappers) to move in for the kill and Tanks wait just out side jelly.
1b) No Lag - Every one give Hamidon a piece of your mind

When Hamidon dies watch out as spawning of buds killed many last time.

If you have holding powers not slow or immobilize please have a purple strip in ur cossy as you may be called up on to hold Hamidon as we are a bit short of Controllers.

I was hoping to be on team speak by now but it seems that my headset hasnt arrived yet. No fear there is a few day left but I wanted to know what server Union players used? If any one can help it will be much apriciated.

I think one at a time could work depending on how quickly Hamidon's health is dropping, my idea was to stop the attack allow the tankers in 4 a hit then finish Hamidon off. I figure that if we have him held constantly then we should have a window to get the tankers in.

Th idea for my build was to go for a blaster based Pb. Although I did find it useful to have a 3 form Pb. The reason is that we have the ability to be a tanker/blaster, I think this is something that you should take advantage of as you can switch between modes to balance the team out. I personally use macros which allow me to switch through forms and have my powers ready. I have all the human buffs as they work in nova mode, so before a big fight I use build up and conserve energy then switch to nova and land a few area blasts, once you got your 1st punch, switch to dwarf and begin the aggro control, once I know that the team is able to hadle what is left i take my pick between humn and nova to mop up. I find this works great and is mucho fun too. I have left out all melee powers in human form as my pb build is intended to be a blaster with tanker back up. If you do not use macros get sum on! They make life so easy and using a pb/ws much much easier.

I wanted to give the tankers involved a lil peace of mind, the plan I have in mind, would envolve a swap of the assault force on Hamidon while he is being held.
If we get Hami held I see no reason why blasters and scrappers could pull back to allow tanks to get a shot at Hami. This would only apply if we ran into major lag, other wise the Tanks on raid will be able to join the assault team and give Hami all that we have. I'd like to hear what you guys think of this as I want to make sure every one benefits.
I noticed last time many people died when Hamidon spawed a load of baddies after his fall. Now I dont know were ever there is an explosion that killed many or were ever the newly spawned got the kill. Either way I'd like to find out about this before we go in and find a solution if this problem does exist.

As there is another week to go, Il wait till Wednesday to organise teams and team leaders, thanks for all who have shown interest in leading a team I am certain that you will be called up on.

As you can see we have a shortge of healers, its going to be impossible to form an effective healing blanket with only 3 defenders. I am hoping that more will step up for the challange or the raid may not go ahead, as I dont want to take you lot on a suicide walk.

What Hero?
Some of you guys asked what alt you should bring along I will send you a pm as soon as we have a few more, I will be able to estimate what is needed more to get the job done.

Time? Im cool between 7.30 and 8.30. This is start time by the way. 8.30 is the latest id like to start, what ever time we annouce, I ask of you to be there 30 min prior so that we can sort out teams before going into the Hive.

I will be on team speak with in the end of the week, if there is some 1 who is well aquanted i wouldnt mind knowing what server coh people use.

I must admitt I am slightly concerened with the lack of sign ups, I am hoping for a strong force to put Hamidon in his place.

I was thinking back to my previous raid experience and I thought it would be worth to mention a few things:

Communication:
ONLY raid leader uses REQUEST channel as this will prevent mass confusion. Please follow this rule as last time many spammed this channel
If can be avoided major spamming on broadcast channel while in the hive last time people found hard to get message across to others.
Talk to you leader!!! If your lost or confused your team leader will have experience in this he/she will guide you to were you should be.

Giant Monsters
Please leve these alone while in the Hive last time we had to leave a bunch of adrenaline filled heroes to die so that we would no compremise the raid

LAG!!!
This is the killer when there are many of us, last time our tanks had a bit of a sour ending after their hard efforts. This time providing we have enough holding going on Id like for the assault team to withdraw and allow all the tanker to go in and smack hamidon where it hurts, we can only judge when the time is right on the night. This will depend on lag and firepower, if any of you would like to dicuss this tactic im all open for suggestions

Patience
This is a hard one, when you have been looking forwards to that jelly and ice cream treat, but I do ask of you to be patien. the raid can turn at any point and strategy may need rethinking, this is essential but I am hoping for a smooth ride.
