    New looks to MA?

Did you just come back after a break or not notice (no snark should be read in that!), because yes, that's correct! The options were added with the launch of Power Customization in Issue 16(?).
MA and Super Strength both had alternate animations introduced with the launch of the Power Customization Issue.
Good stuff! (Just want a punch for Thunder Kick!)

I'm just curious what they should use as a reward if badges are always off limits (for such a thing).
And no, I'm not looking for an argument. Just a respectful discussion about it!

I mean, I could say the same for emotes or costume pieces as you have for badges (those are my things to have, hold, hug and squeeze and name George) and anyone/everyone could probably say the same for just about any reward.

See now... NO! That would just be EVIL!
Lovers of emotes are more important than you pesky badge hunters!!

I guess the limited means in which to earn this reward makes any reward "mean and unfair".
I'm not sure that I agree with that, but this industry/service is all about providing fun, so... Gotta try and work with the fun sponges now and then!

I can understand people's befuzzlementationisms about the announced badge reward.
I'm not saying this in opposition to the negative response, because it's valid.
It's just funny. Simple little things within fun playtime pastimes can be rather huge for people, eh? You can't just toss a Badge as a reward for something, as people use Badges as a major collection fun time pastime thingy.
As someone who ties zero significance to badges, it's odd (although not in a bad way at all! I enjoy things that others have zero interest in. It's all good!).

Anyway, of course they should know all this by now and the idea of tossing around badges has kind of been removed from their hands and turned into something much more important (and, hey, that's only right,I suppose! It's da peoplz game!).

If they really want to use the badge as incentive to test out the server shtuff... Offering a way to earn the badge again at a later time could work.
Or a larger window to earn the badge.
    Or just some other incentive.

I missed the original discussion thread, but I don't see any of this as a big deal either way. They announced something, people offered negative feedback, they're reconsidering... It's all good!
  6. You heard it here first!
Reiella blames acid for mind being blurred!
    News whenever man!
  7. I think this side-topic is pretty silly and I didn't really want to get involved, but I just think that a Goatee Mirror Universe is almost as a part of the genre as capes and tights. Where as pygmy-filled-jungles (while more entertaining) is not.
Possibly a little bit more like "hopping on the bandwagon" rather than "ripping off", but whatever!

Regardless, I do believe the whole bizzaro-world-type-thing is about as common as chat bubbles for the genre.

I am saying this without a single glimpse of what it is that this other game has done though. I really don't care, hehe, just wanted to express that one little opinion I had about it!
  8. "again"??
    You were happy once, ZM??

  9. Haha... That is awesome.
I am sad that Null is no longer with us.
I get the feeling that some cat-girl-scorned, half-demon/half-vampire, sulking alcoholic rogue with a good heart, but troubled demeanor, cooked him up for dinner.

I guess that is a subjective opinion, as I know I don't consider Paralytic to be subtle.
Anyway, obviously we're all talking from different angles/preferences and I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything.
I know that I want to see the powers before choosing, and I know some other people who feel the same, and so I've been looking to see if anyone's put anything together and, if not, I'm going to try and make the time to share it for others who would like it!

And thanks for the replies! I had completely forgotten that you could change the summoning of the pets. Now that you said that, I do remember reading it (in this thread, I believe, hehe).

I didn't know you could for Lore. However, you have to slot it first (thus defeating the point of looking before choosing) and this doesn't work for Interface (right?).

I have Judgment slotted and know that I can look at all of the different Judgment Powers. That was an easy decision for me and there were already videos for each of the Judgment Powers.
  12. I'm curious if anyone has put together or found any videos of ALL of the Interface Powers and/or ALL of the Destiny Powers.
I've done some searching and not found any.
So, I'm considering doing so myself (by recruiting people with each of the powers).

I know that I really want to see the visuals before I make my decisions on which powers to take (visual/concept > game mechanics for my playing enjoyment).
I know Destiny can be customized some, but the effects of Interface cannot.

Anywho... any help would be much appreciated! And my apologies if I have missed this in my searches!
  13. Steel... Or is it Mrs. Nesbit?
    Either way...

GET THEM ALL TO LEVEL 50!!
And graduate to the new tournament!!
    The Post 50 Incarnate Tournament!
If/when they make changes to the Incarnate content/systems...
All you need to do is unslot the powers and have at it all over again (with the 50s).

    Yah?

Indeed! That part alone should be a very cool and versatile (as in, steampunk or not) option!
  15. I wasn't around for the in-game chats...
No one asked about Power Customization and when we might see the first passes at the Power Pools and/or Epic Pools (and/or Epic ATs)?
    Shame on y'all!
    C'mon!

    There's that valuable versatility! Hehe
And I fully agree. I get plenty of usage out of the packs that aren't for characters based around the pack's concepts.
And the Steampunk pack pics show some victorian-style clothing and such that clearly could be used for many different concepts! Even just those striped pants (without the weird patterns on the current pinstrip pattern we have now).

Seems too cool to not have separate options, just in case!
  16. (Yeah, me again... I forgot to mention...

The steampunk art and pieces look really nice. The wings... The designs look fantastic!! Can't wait to see those in action!

    Nice job art team!
  17. Posi, something very cool that you said about how a lot of you designing the game weren't really huge mmorpg players and so that you somewhat set out to design the mmorpg for yourselves...
I think it shows in great ways.
Great job and I've enjoyed listening to you guys talk about this stuff as I'm doing some mundane tasks this afternoon.
Reminds me of the first New York Meet and Greet, as I enjoyed listening and talking to Posi about the game. The interest and enjoyment of it all is evident. And the loyalty is appreciated much as well!

And Zwill... I guess your job hosting these streams might be a little more difficult if maybe you had the Marx Bros. show up!
Hehe, great to work in a fun environment!

SmartDogs are awesomely yummy! And aren't bad for ya, yucky nor overly filling!

Depending on your choice of dogs, of course.
I don't think I've ever seen any imitations of sabretts though...
  20. Thanks, CoH!

I'm looking forward to all the future fun CoH will be delivering!!

    Happy Anniversary all around!

Go for Telekinesis! Covers flying right along with moving around whatever other objects/people you want!

EDIT: (hehe, suddenly feel like a super powers salesman!)
However, did I mention that we're having a sale on the Whirlwind power today? Sure, it may not be as powerful as some of the others, but you'll stand out amongst the crowd!

Rarely ever hear/see it mentioned by others!
  23. Sigh... I always forget what my answer is to this question and then think of it some time after answering...

However, I have a new answer that I'm sure I've not used before (It used to be a call between telekinesis and/or invulnerability and/or maybe teleport [barring space-time-manipulation that can and does cover all things...)...

And I say this truthfully, as I can think of nothing that'd bring me a greater reward (sure, I bet it could become a curse, I'd be happy to bear such a "curse"):

The ability to heal and cure all physical wounds, ailments and diseases in others (including myself would be cool so I could continue to help others and not be wiped out too soon).

(I'd be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to say... Now, bring on the Epic and Power Pool customization!)
  25. Hehe, right (about your end kinda-conclusion)...

Everybody being super is about the same as nobody being super.
So, nullifying super powers and removing any super might be better (smaller potential for damage... in a way... then again, the non-super-powered have proven they're capable of achieving enough power to destroy all life)...

An interesting contention... Give everyone super powers vs. remove all super powers.
