nice work man! yeah I went with blonde because I was a fan of Pfeifer catwoman :P also I am pretty sure the line artist of the pic I colored had pfeifer in mind. blondes have more fun anyway

On subject: You did a great job on this man! the shines and glows look good. I'll happily write you up a critique of this piece when I find the time a definete improvement here.

I did get to see enough though to want to ask a couple questions. Hehe. Does Livestream put the yellow dot over your curser like that when you are using Photoshop or is that something else? Also, I noticed you were coloring in RGB mode...is that just because this was all for demonstration purposes only? Unless I know it is never going to be printed, I typically work in CMYK mode in order to prevent unexpected color shifting on the press when a piece is printed. The colors do however never look as brilliant on the screen in CMYK mode as they do in RGB, which can be discouraging at times.

Anyways, I will be keeping an eye for your next show.
wow there were more folks there then I had realized.

first question. livestream does the yellow dot, so folks, know where my cursor is.

second question. I mainly work in Rgb that is a bad habit in some cases, but a lot of the time I don't plan on printing most of my stuff s just practise or onscreen stuf. Lately I have tried using Cmyk more often have been very happy with the results so I will be looking to fix my bad habit and use it more.

thanks for coming out and watching! hope you drop by again when things are looking to run smoother

same here! dont feel that because you dont have a microphone you will be left out! I doubt the microphone convo's are going to be right for every team up we do, but sometimes it's good just to hang out and chat on the mic. I wont expect it every time and I'd say it will only be organised times that the microphones will come out for me. I want to accomodate and hang out with the whole forum.
  12. doi! forgot all about this! ummm... *runs off to time converter*

going to start this around 9pm Est
  13. this isnt just an art forum. it is called fan creation's so this is as appropriate place as any, however if you are after feedback for your writing at any point I beleive the afformentioned RP forum would be good for that .

I will definetly consider offering my characters for your services .
  14. lol yeah, I have just transferred My level 45 blaster, and level 50 scrapper for this group, I also have a level 32 and 2 in the 20's for it.

also moved over another big big guy for the rogues.
  15. A good call on the name! glad someone thought of something an did something.
  16. was very fun having chats with everyone. will have to do it again soon. for those who added me on skype, any of you all want to talk arts I am up for it anytime.
  17. Welcome back ennvee! its good to have you aroun these parts again
  18. all good sugguestions up there! ^

http://comics-colorist-club.devianta...lery/?23893577 there might be something helpful in here the tutorials of the group I am in. I dont know I haven't read them other then that...

my tip. always set your line art up on a new layer. multiplying is a bit of a quick fix in my opinion and doesnt allow you to make color holds which can often be important to a picture.

to seperate your line art from the background first you need to Isolate the lines. If the file is gray scale you go into your channels (which should be in the same group of tabs as layers) there should only be the one channel in there called 'Gray' simple hold 'Ctrl' and left click on that channel, what you will get from that is a selection of the lines.

if you are on Rgb you 'ctrl' click the blue layer that will select everything that isnt the lines, then you simply invert the selection.

create a new layer and fill your selection with black (have black as your foreground color and press Alt+backspace alternatively having black as your background color is ctrl backspace) I find that way easiest but should you prefer you can always just press copy and paste (ctrl+C,ctrl+v but I am sure you knew that) but that will sometimes leave a bit of white dithering on the edges which can be fixed by making a layer on top. filling it black. hold 'alt' and left click inbetween the two layers( lineart and black fill) that will apply anything that is on the top layer to whatever is on the layer underneath it.( so basically it is alot easier just to fill your lines onto a new layer )

some of the techniques I have given you are on the advanced side of coloring, and can be tricky to get the hang of, but Imo they are best way to have control over the whole process
  19. Ignorance is bliss and I think the same holds true for stupidity. luckily I got a fair share of both.

but for the sake of the game I would rather be stupid and hot. they seem to have life alot easier
  20. heh I know when to take a sugguestion seriously buddy
  21. Glad that so many are keen, I plan on making this supergroup and virtue my home teritory so if anyone else is looking for a main home feel free to bring whatever you want over and do so, but it is not mandatory.

Projectionist- will happily coalition you when I/someone gets this up and running

kheldy- hall of heroes isn't art themed enough :P

Kai: I really like the sound of devision. I think that is the front runner should noone come up with anything better in the next day or so

foo- thanks for offering up your Sg aswell man. you going to come join us one day?
  22. with the server transfer now free for the holidays I am looking to benefit from it with a move to a more populated server. I don't find an awful lot of time to play the game so when I do I am looking to team, have a good time and blow off some steam. today the 'gallery of rogues' villain group was formed for fanart forum villains on virtue, I would like to assemble a similar group for blue side on virtue.

So I open up the floor for name sugguestions, or anyone wanting to throw there hat in the ring to join. or even coalition for it if you have a good existing sg there but would still like to stay in touch. Anyone willing to do base buildling etc.

I will be moving over 2 of my more powerful toons (1 of my 50's and 1 lvl 46) I dont expect everyone or anyone to move there toons off of there home server (but if you do it would make earning prestige a lot easier juz sayin') I am down with starting new toons, new themed costumed groups with any one or any other you have, I am RP friendly sometimes I will even join in. it will all be about fun.

so yeah I open the floor for interested parties to raise hands, make name suggestions etc. all who hang their hat's here are more then welcome.

Edit* sorry for the crappy readability.
