    * Notice of the Well part 2... Any newly created character who goes directly to the game without first passing through the tutorial will receive the message "Your bravery in facing the challenges ahead without guidance has attracted the attention of the Well of the Furies!!" At that point the character will undergo rapid fire level dings... one after another in very fast procession... until they reach level 50. At that point a razz-berry sound will be heard and the words "APRIL FOOLS!" will flash on the screen.. and they will revert to first level.
    oh please!

Yeah same here on our team, first run we got 2 of the things, if anybody does that on their first try i'ld personally give them 1 billion inf . . . . . .

You have no idea how close you are with this

Now, I have gained incarnate power, yeah! Now lets see what I can do.. and the hardest challenges, now that I'm more powerful.. need 23 to 47 other heroes (or whatever the raid, er leagues will hold).
Well actually if you look at some of the harder challenges PRE Alpha slot i'ld say i already feel so much more powerfull. Before if i faced Marauder in the flashback arc with him as an AV i'ld need help, now however i can face him one on one like a true hero and come out on top [though is still a close fight, like it should be!].
I've said this loads of times before but at our CURRENT level of incarnation we will need help in taking on some of the newer challenges. Dare i say it, but i'ld say a team of 8 could do the new trial with 1 or 2 new incarnate levels then a team of 16 which will struggle. Its all about the enemy uppin their game to face THEIR new more powerfull enemy [us].

For some reason, whenever I think of ship maps, I think back to the old X-Com: Terror from the Deep game, and the Ship Assaults that had. It had both engineering decks with the walkways and the engines and the large storage rooms and the little closets, as well as cruise ship upper decks, with corridors, cabins restaurants, pools and I think even a movie theatre.

I know it's unreasonable, but I've always wanted to see ship maps like that.

Ah i totally forgot to see if we could swim!
Might want to add that on the screenshots i posted that my graphics arent exactly the best, so if you are on high > ultra mode it will look 10x better obviously. Im on performance

I dont have interest in pets, but I do want AoE goodness NAO.
The four new incarnate levels we get are judgement, lore, interface and destiny.

The order they unlock are as follows [iirc]

    Judgement > Lore
    Interface > destiny

Now one trial provides the XP for the one tree and the other trial provides the XP for the other trial. Now when you start the trials and start gaining the incarnate XP it will automatically go towards the first level in the tree [so either judgement or interface depending on the trial your on].
Once that level has become unlocked [The xp bar is full] you can now craft and slot the powers that are in that section IF you so wish. Whether you chose to start crafting them or not however, the next time you get incarnate xp it will automatically go to the next line of the tree [so if you unlocked judgement level it will now go to the lore level] until you have unlocked it also.

Now that you have unlocked both of that side of the tree you can craft and create whichever power in the slot as you want. Want a lore power and not a judgement power? Thats fine you dont need to craft a judgement one and go onto the lore. All that it will take however is you will need to unlock the judgement level to get to the Lore level. Of course since the powers you want are in the judgement slot it will be the first one you can unlock on that side of the tree

    Hope that helps.
  10. Plus that Kronos monster class in that one mission Thats a toughie solo

Im a 45 vet players and never rolled a MM.

From what i've seen and understood, the incarnate xp that you get unlocks the next "level" so you can then slot the powers. Once you have unlocked that level the next lot of xp automatically goes towards unlocking the next "level".
So while you wont be able to chose which order to unlock them, you can skip one entirely AFTER unlocking it.
  12. To be fair these boards, while friendly most of the time, has always had different groups of players "fighting" against other groups.

Whenever the PvP group shout out/jack a thread they are shot down.

Whenever the Base builders shout out/jack a thread they are shot down.

Whenever roleplayers shout out/jack a thread they are shot down.

Whenever EU players shout out/jack a thread they are shot down [hehe im one of those!]

Plus many more groups of players, the only thing new here lately is that a new group of solo groupers are now shouting out. There is nothing new here that hasnt happened before but in a different form, the only thing is that its a different group of people now.

Dont think the shiny will go for a while yet People like myself who play at really random times and want every single slot will be wanting in on every single raid going and it WILL take an absolute age to get to the 5th level on just one character.

Think they looked at low population servers while creating these raids and even though we do have a low population EU side, think we're organised enough now that with this new LFG/league system and the low player requirements for the trials that we can say setting one up wont take longer than it would for a tf.

    Again, pure win.

As an aside, is it me or does it seem like for what we've seen so far of the Incarnate System, but won't buffers and deffuing based toons become the most powerful toons? I mean with ally buffs, AOE attack, Praetorian pet backing them up, Alpha to fill any holes their builds may be, and the awesome debuff/buff procs, it seems to me that players of buffing/debuffers should be in heaven.
To a point yes and to a point no but then the same can be said to every AT now. Dont know if anybody else has mentioned this but those 1k+ damage powers? They're the same figures for every AT, they dont use AT modifications but are instead fixed values.

So while it would be possible for a team to have perma +def shields on them, the downside is that they gradually lose their effectiveness as time goes on whereas the buffers could keep every player up to the cap perma. So im 50/50 on this until we are able to get a few players up to full incarnate level 5.
  16. When your NA sneak is available, make sure somebody check out the villain version and whether or not they have unique maps too

Thats fair enough and if im honest, while the pets will be nice i cannot see myself using them on a regular basis. The effects added to your attacks/team buffs on the other hand . . . . . .

Meh, I was planning on keeping active for a while but the I20 overview makes me a lot less bothered about doing so. That, and this thread, which is showing an unusually ugly and arrogant side to some members of this community.

Long term I can't shake the feeling that CoH's new endgame is going to turn out to be a rather good illustration of the old saying be careful what you wish for...

From what we've seen of the system so far, while some people might not like the method of how to get the powers, the powers themselves are actually very powerfull and people will finally start to feel like incarnates.

Seriously, they seem to be needlessly obsessed with that world. It ain't that impressive folks.

I dont know, the battle drones are very handy and powerfull imo. Possibly they could make each branch in the tree one for Praetoria and the other for Primal.
  20. Personally i find it totally fair *shrugs* After experiencing the trial last night all i can say is that the rate you get the xp/threads is quite high.

For people that dont like to team, the first part of the trial [which is basically just defeat easy mobs on the outside of the trial which is VERY VERY easy] can get you 10-15% along. Think people are forgetting that while the number is high, it is purely there to stop people storming through the system. How many people do you know that say they have X amount of shards already?

They've given people the option for the people that purely like to solo and we all knew the conversion rate would be high because otherwise why would people want to do the trial which is very difficult when a shard farm can get you it much easier. Plus the trial is very short so timeframe for people cant be an issue i see.

Unless something is planned to directly award Threads somewhere down the line.

We dont know what the award is yet for completing the trials so possibly them.

    Correct.
  23. The xp you get is for every mob u defeat IIRC. Think of threads as chunks of XP.
