If there is enough interest, I will be willing to re-open and host the 1v1 dueling ladder with a few changes (i.e Scheduled days to fight and so on).

Quote:I agree with pretty much what he said. But I think the Thermal's might not be as easy to defeat a stalker as the Other stuff you said, based on the fact that any competent stalker is goin to 1.) carry blues vs a thermal. 2.) Pop his tier 9. 3.) Go into hide until the thermal debuffs drop.Is this for solo or team pvp?
To quote han solo from star wars, it's hard to be a good blaster. I own alot of stalkers 1v1 on my blaster. Regen scrappers prob with fire or BS with prim. Earth/TA is a wicked stalker killer, anything thermal cause thermal is amazing debuffs. You either want a fast killing machine, something that can debuff and keep stalkers out of hide or tons of hp. TO be honest stalkers are not the killing machines they used to be, due to animation changes and unresistable damage changes. Problem you might be running into with stalkers, is they are great on teams. Teams usually set stalkers up for the killing shot. Esp if there are 203 stalkers out there teamn together with a dom or other AT that can set you up for a AS.
Just for the heck of it, there is a scrapper on champion named, Tungsten Wolf. He has a decent toon for pvp (scrapper) and if we gave awards away for best attitude in pvp he would win and he is a decent pvper on that scapper. Put a ranged AT in his hands and some teamage with practice he would be a great opponent. tx all GLHF
Lastly, This does not apply to my stalker. I will push your **** in, not die, and push it in again. (j/k lol) -
Quote:Maybe because people actually have the oppurtunity to learn now. Or maybe because the people who are supposed to get people interested in PvP are actually trying to do so, rather than complain that Champion has no pvp.is pvp becoming cool on champion what is with all this pvp talk?
But what do I know. -
Sweet. let me know when you get on her.

Quote:Elf is pretty much right.well I was going to the bar's when I was 17 and Kind sir I am old enough to do many things. Well recently people haven't been switching to help the other side. They been mainly been just camping the bases with a fire and marshmellow on a stick. Stalkers are fun and I reck people for many months...but Corruptor were more need on the redside. Even though Thermal is primary target for the heroes its fun to evade.Me evading helps my team pick up our targets. It would be nice to see some new faces in PvP scene. add that 101 pvp channel and test your luck in RV.

Quote:A pvp class is already in the works.I lold irl at this.
I'll get around to levelling my Therm to 50 on Champ some day, throw in some SOs and get wrecked in RV.
6 slotted Flurry ftw.
As for the new faces...it's hard to get them to stick. We had some new peeps at the event Kat hosted but the problem is they got farmed over and over. If they aren't frustrated and stop PvPing after that then they might actually keep up and learn.
It really does take a different mindset to laugh off going from 1600 - 0 HP in a few seconds, heal up and come up for more.
Maybe someone (En3my and I and you and others...) should make a PvP school on A Sunday or something. Hmmm
And I have created a pvp Vg, So anyone who thinks that there arent any Villains to face in RV havent been there for the last few weeks.
I hope you do come back to Campion Neuronia, we need more experienced Heroes to work together.
Lastly, pvp has started to show a bit of growth on champion, we were doing 8v8 Kb's the other day...during the week at that. -
DiD anyone get back to you regarding your build, TFury?

Quote:I'm not trippin over it. May have been me just misunderstanding what you were saying, So its done with to me.You must have understood my last message. I came back from the bar when I wrote it. I'm not mad at all... and what I ment on IO satution was Heroes were recking the crap of the villains because most villains awhile back weren't spect out. Im not if you were around at that time... but Me and few other were only ones that had are toon spect for PVP. I can say this cause I PVP all the damn time. I guess pop your brakes to you kind sir. Again why are we talking about teh past? and what group use to be? can we talk about what going on now?
I was going to reply to this, but I changed my mind. -
Quote:Depends What you are fighting. A stalker(may be the same for other AT's as well, not sure) activating Invis will instantly go into a 600ft+ stealth radius..even with toggles on him. I do it everytime i get radded on my stalker. All he has to do after that is break enough distance between you and himself or line of sight even.having a really hard time with stealthed characters when playing with my rad/psi defender.
seems the +perception IO doesnt work as well as it used to. things go invisible at fairly close range. (still radded... ) not sure whats going on...???
With tactics and +perception IO you arent at the perception cap, and any toon with high a high stealth power +Stealth IO can break LoS fairly easy..not to mention that you are probably being travel suppressed while they are already breaking off from you in *stealth*, thus making it harder for you to keep LoS anyway.
Non stealth classes (toons without a stealth in the primary or secondary) should be easier for you to track, given that they dont have invis and a stealth IO too.
*Edited*
The +perc IO gives 20% perception bonus to what you have. I think the base perception is 500ft and tactics adds 432.5ft (for a defender) to that giving you 932.5+ 20% = 1119 ft - 611ft(invis) which is 508 ft. And since the base perception is 500ft, it makes it seem as if you only had and extra 8ft of perception (not 100% sure if this is right).
My suggestion is to hit every target instantly after the FIRST toggle is applied, dont wait for the second one, then once you hit that person, apply the second toggle on them. -
Quote:Because real men don't run from a fight nub.Awesome idea Scribe. first question...why is it when i try to run away from a fight popping insps in RV it slows me down?
Lol, j/k.
Anyway, Castle said: "The Duration of Movement Suppression in PvP is now variable based on the most recent suppression event applicable to the character."
So that means, any one of these actions you do or take part in, will cause you travel suppression. Healing, Buffing, Attacking, being attacked ect.. all cause minor Travel Supression. Since popping inspirations simulates or rather, grants you a buff, It is just cause for Travel Suppression. -
I know, lolpvp w/e.
Hey guys. Just wanted to let you all know that there has been a channel created for new pvpers, those interested in pvp but dont know who to ask for advice, and Vets alike.
The channel is called PvP101 (thank you Kat) and It should be available to anyone who wants to join it.
I really like pvp, regardless of its current state or the pvp I first got into, when HO's gave you 50% bonus rather than the standard 33%. So much infact, that I am willing to spend the majority of my in game time in this channel answering any questions anyone has, giving build advice, combat advice, or at the very least, finding an answer to a questionin I am not familiar with, just to help.
If you are interested, just join up. And if there are any experienced pvpers looking to join the chan and help out, you are more than welcome.
There is nothing to lose here.
Later guys/gals.
If you have any questions Im @EN3MY 0F M4N and @EN3MY 0F M4N II -

Save 200 mil of that for me, and just give out 50+ mil to others.. I have a baby corruptor to feed, ya know?

Quote:Elf, wth are you talking about.. Calm down dude. Chip on your shoulder? Who cares if someone is IO'ed SO'ed or just did one or the other, what does that have to do with what this post is about? Also, you are being slightly hypocritical in the highlighted portions. But it seems that you are upset at new villian pvpers because they have IO's now, and a few months ago they didnt? I am confused because your text seems hostile (lol). I for one, just IO'd my stalker not to long ago, you talking to me? Cause I have no problem gettin it in."LOL PON" all you guys want.. but i remember wrecking alot of folks when I running with my blaster with those tags. I can at least say that PON,HOJ and Templar of Steel use to show up in numbers and all you old tymers saying that old pvp sg or Vori sg use to wreck people so what. where are those SG/VG at now? hmmm you keep living past... but present where we rocking.. F what you did... and show what you can do now. I seen Villains come up in RV. Alot of the villains few months ago were mainly SO' or wasn't a flavor of the month toon. AE help alot Villains players make PVP toons. The main reason now villains are kicking butt is alot of them got there toons IOed out now and not like before were you find alot Villains that were SO'ed out. ALL I CAN SAY IS I BEEN RECKING SH*T with my Melt Sheet in Zone and Arena.
Any how we had a good kickball today and we should have more. New pvp players should come out and have fun... you might get wreck but at least you learn what you need to do.
I know right? -
Lastly, RV belongs to me and my Goon Squad...Unless someone thinks that I am wrong.
-
Quote:SK and ESK were never "LOL"I enjoy the presence of HoJ in zones and I hope to see more of them in RV after ToT is over. If anyone did not pick up on the fun and jest of my post it is positive and to promote fun for all. Putting people down will just make them not want to pvp at all. Champion is known for some of the best PvP sg/vg in the past, and they all started out LOL at sometime.
But yea, I love having UC and HoJ in RV. I also Enjoy arena with them. -
I support this thread. Yes, vills have been using teamwork lately as well...interesting.
-
This is today. GL HF all who enter, and thank you again Kat for throwing this event <3 .

I dont agree with your veiws on AT diff. Stalkers are not 1/5, Blasters are not 2/5, Defenders arent really hard to play now (imo), and so on.
Although there is some info I would dispute, you spent a good portion of time writing this guide and it should be acknowledged.
GG.
