    Those are my make or break issues. The fact that the forums have been broken for more than a year is just a leaky faucet that constantly drips. Sometimes you can ignore it, and other times it drives you insane because it reminds you how much everything else is falling apart. When the water heater blows out in an apartment on the other side of town, I fully understand why resources have to be allocated--but it doesn't change the fact that the damn sink won't stop dripping. I don't think it is unfair or petty of me to ask that my VIP status works correctly, and that the game is working normally.

    Then again, if you're happy paying for something and not getting it, and you're okay with that--I can see how we would disagree.

    I've said it before, and I will say it again. I'm not talking about a single issue, and I'm certainly not railing on yesterday's hiccup. I'm saying it is symptomatic of a larger issue that has been plaguing Paragon Studios for the last eighteen months. To put it in perspective, I'm talking about climate, not weather.

    I'm sorry, but my empathy for your explanation has been reallocated to an unrelated product that I didn't pay for. Are you serious, Zwill? My ability to peaceably drink the forum kool-aid has also been reallocated towards my ongoing and increasing dissatisfaction.

    I would have been happier if the answer was, "Sorry, we screwed up" rather than, "Lineage II>>>City of Heroes." Get it together, Paragon.

  6. There are several other merit types already floating around. While it remains to be seen how the new slots will be implemented--especially given Positron's most recent comments on currency--I think it's safe to say that there will AT LEAST be something along the lines of "Cosmic Experience" or etc. to earn.

    If you, Golden Girl, are insisting that I am drawing some kind of connection between today's forum maintenance (which was for something entirely unrelated) and the need to repurpose resources towards Lineage II after they had more server load than was expected--then you won't get that satisfaction, because that's not what I'm saying.

    What I'm saying is that today is just another small footnote supporting the fact that City of Heroes itself is not a priority item. The game is not, the bugs are not, and the customers certainly are not. And much like the fifteen+ month old forum logout bug, it's been like this for quite some time.

    There's absolutely NO doubt.

  17. I disagree. I know it's my opinion, but I think that Paragon Studios has made great strides in u-turning back to, "This is the way things are, because we said so, and you are wrong."

    I think the new EULA, the current standards of forum moderation, and certain content implementation support me in my opinion.

    We're certainly not "back to the dark days," but I feel like we're doing "two steps backwards, one step forwards."
