    Bodyguard

If anything, Bodyguard seems like too much in PvE. While it solves the waves and ambushes ignore the pets issues, it really makes other encounters (like with elite bosses) a touch too easy.
  2. You know how sometimes good leaders tell people to do things they would have done without permission to avoid causing a confrontation? That's my feeling on what happened there. Synapse appears to have serious thrill issues and would have zipped on in no matter what anyone said.
  3. After reading the first 3 issues of Common Grounds, I have to say: I'm really looking forward to 4-6 of the new CoH. Common grounds is what the superhero comic world has desperately needed for years.

The worst part is, I probably would have never read them If I hadn't heard you were going to be writing for the CoH comic. Marketing can be the tool of good after all.
  4. Look. The fundamental problem this solves is this, in the game world, villians can be expected to be at their bases when the heroes are coming after them.

In the real world, the players of villians have jobs, wives, kids and houses to clean.

It is unfair to expect defenders to give up RL committments to defend a virtual object.

While it does eliminate the "took them by complete suprise" factor to some extent, the appontment method is better all around for maintaining world consistency, and preventing base based PvP from becoming a 24/7 obsessive behaviour.
  5. Who was the guy with his own MMO* who never failed to mention it in ever DOOM post he ever made because his own game was better than CoH in every particular?

    I loved that guy.

  6. eel can be taken out (at least as a 10 DM/Regen) with the following insps:

    3x Luck, 2x Insight 2x enrage 1x discipline

Insight more than compensates for his hurricane, Luck nearly lowers his accuracy (so he won't hit enough with his big melee to matter vs reconstruction) and with 2 enrages he was done before the discipline ran out.

I had slotted 4 enhancements in each of my attacks, and 3 in reconstruction, and had hasten up.

He can be done, but it cost me a ton of debt to work it out.
  7. Another voice for keeping the powers on Outcasts and Trolls. I love these guys now. They love me back with debt, sure, but its the first taste a low level character gets of real superhero fights. They are harder than other villians of similar level and con, if you can fix that issue without making them back into basic gangers, I suspect you'll please more people than you will by just stripping powers.
