Still struggling along with it, but I suspect I lack the patience.

I spent more time on the inks for this fella, including liberal use of the airbrish in Photoshop to sort of cheat in some of the darker tonal areas on the face. The rest of it's all done in ArtRage, with a couple of custom stencils used as I've just noticed them...

  2. Thanks for the feedback - it's really appreciated

Next is Tyler, for UncannyMadman. I think my problem with this style is time based. I'm unwilling to spend more than a few hours on a pic, as I'm fundamentaly lazy. Whereas my usual wobbly-line / flat colour style is OK with that time frame, I don't think this is. I think I need to spend a day at least on a pic to see if this style's worth pursuing.

  3. Next up is Shock. Again, in the new painty style, which I hope I'm getting better at.

  4. Next up, Inflamable Jack.

This is the third attempt with this new style. Not thrilled with how this turned out, so I may well re-visit it.

  5. Thanks to all who've replied - as I said, if I have your request, I will get around to your pic if you're still here!

Next up, here's a re-imagining of the Riddler, as requested and described by Mjolnir74.

Obviously, this is done in my new-fangled style, and I'm well aware you may not like it - if that's the case, shout out and I'll re-do him in my old style!

    Cheers Night'

Third bit of progress. This is as far as I'm taking this one - it's been a very interesting process (at least for me) to soo just how the combination of the Tablet and the paint-y program work together, and hopefully, having learnt a lot doing this, the next will be better. What I think is needed is to treat the piece like a 'proper' paint on canvas piece - something I literally haven't done since art school, so that's what I'll do with the next pic.

I've been playing with my Wacom tablet recently, looking to see how it works and getting away from the flat colour style I've been using thus far. Below is a work-in-progress piece, with work done on the face, and some blocking done in the background and on the arm. Still a long way to go before I'm happy with how it's going I think. Opinions very welcome.

  8. I'm pretty much shutting this down now. Too many pics with no reply from the person who requested it leads me to believe that the folks who have made requests are no longer in-game.

Should you still be here, and have made a request I haven't yet done, let me know and I'll do it for you.

Thanks to all those who have followed this thread. See you next Christmas perhaps.
  9. Next up is Legatus' Pretty Flamingo...

  11. Next up, Vicar (I'm sorry, I've lost the player name)

  12. Next up, another from The Dresden Files. Molly Carpenter:

  13. Just brilliant. In my opinion, the best stuff posted here or in the US. Glaciers is fantastic. The reflective surface of the armour takes my breath away. Superb.

Do you think you'll be done by this christmas?

    [/ QUOTE ]

heck, at this rate I won't be done by Christmas 2011...

Here's another in my occasional series of characters from The Dresden Files, this time it's Ebenezar McCoy:

  15. This is a 2-birds-with-one-stone pic. Firstly I fancied drawing a more conventional super-hero than I usually do, and secondly, I've agreed to provide one of the prizes for Steamtank's brilliant Tournament of Champions over on the Champions Online forums, and looking at what folks have done as prizes for the first two, I had vague feelings of panic...

Woo, he's back! And the drawings are looking as superb as ever!

Thanks for saying nice stuff! I Never left, but my account's up in June, so I'm here until then

    Next up...

"I am Olaf Bjornboe, The Mad Viking!!!"

<--- Long time fan of your work. I am repeatedly impressed by your style, it is simply awesome art. I look forward to the growing narrative. Which by the way is also excellently told.

Thanks very much Pious, I really appreciate that

Next page is up. This page is the end of the interludes. I think my problem with this is too much plot, and not enough action.

  18. All OK, and thanks to support for a pretty fast response too.

Does anyone else hear the Pocket D monkey fight in Sharhead too?
  19. I have a Crab Spider, currently stuck in Sharkhead, trapped by constant Mapservers.

He can't move more than a few feet without being mappy'd back. He lives on Union, and is the only one of my characters affected on any server, so I'm pretty sure it's not me.

It's probably a karmic punishment for having a villian character I know, but does anyone have any ideas? I have Petitioned it, but by the time i hear back, I expect my sub to have run out...

Thought I'd fixed it by going to Pocket D, where I was free of Mapservers, but upon re-entering Sharkhead I had them back. Is the Zone broken for anyone else?

I really don't know why I'm posting this here, in the most pointless, unviewed by dev section of any forum, but...
