  1. an alternative look, done in a tighter style:

    doc d, alternative look
  2. next page. this one feels rushed, so it may get re-done

    page twenty
  3. in game, the doc is grav/ff, but obviously i'm taking many creative liberties...

    page nineteen
  4. thanks merrow - i don't think she was serious (and if she was, fair enough, her watercolour paintings are much better then mine )

anyway, here are the updated versions of pages seventeen and eighteen. lots changed on seventeen

    page seventeen

    page eighteen
  5. not connected to the strip really, just a response to a pm. see, i can draw properly!

    grrr

    proper drawing (ish)
  6. thanks for the comments everyone, they're appreciated.

here are the next two pages. i'm not really happy with them at all, so i'm giving it a couple of days, then perhaps re-doing them

    page seventeen

    page eighteen

    NaNoDraMo 08

i'll give it a go, but i was hopeless last time around

if it goes ahead again, then anyone who wants their characters done in my wobbly style, send me a pm
  8. thanks very much Anarkki

here's the next page, as the good doctor finally actually does something...

    page sixteen
  9. i liked this page when i sketched it, when i drew it and when i coloured it in, but am not so sure now...

    page fifteen
  10. nice work finch!

i like Lilith especially. as far as hands and feet go, they're tricky. even looking at a lot of the most famous artists who ever lived, some of them were hopeless at feet. a lot of drapes get used to hide things, and big-time comic 'artists' like rob liefied are hopeless ( proof! ). the best thing to do is simply practice, either from life or from photos
  11. both files now updated

all i seem to do is fiddle...

50 plus views, and no replies?...

    [/ QUOTE ]

happens all the time - the creative forum seems dead to any feedback at the moment, don't take it personally

i'm enjoying the start to your story, and look forward to it continuing
  13. this is kind of CoX related....

i've been doing this comic strip here in a rather loose style, but have been playing with a slightly different style on a character sketch of the main protagonist.

it's done straight with the mouse, then brought into photoshop this time for the colour. my opinion is that it's too worked, but i'd welcome other views. i'm in no way precious about my drawings, so feel free to fire away

    test line art

    test coloured
  14. thanks for reading!

redlight's not mine, i'm borrowing him for this story as his MO fitted. he's a cross between daredevil and captain america i guess

the eye flare is actually something i dithered about for a while before adding, but i decided it would be too subtle without something. the victim and the assailant were drawn that way for a reason, which should, i hope, become clearer
  15. no more posts here from me on this strip i think. it's begun to feel a little too mastabatory, so while i'll continue to draw it, it's probably best if i keep it private.
  16. well i loved the story. i've often thought that there's an obvious cross-over point between the RP and the Creative section of the boards, and this illustrates it perfectly. a lot of really creative stuff gets written over there, and it's nice to see it here too
  17. next page.

now, i've gone for a more styised approach on this page, which i like at the moment, but can see that i may hate tomorrow, so opinions welcome, as always

    page nine
  18. thanks everyone who is looking - i was beginning to think my little post was totally ignored

here's the next page, as the doctor begins his investigations

    page eight
  19. thanks you two

here's the next page, advancing into the story. i've always felt that detective work is something that's been missiong in CoH missions, perhaps it's something that could be addressed with i13..?

    page seven
  20. carrying on... is anyone looking at this by the way?

    page six
