My subscription expires within a few days. I'll be leaving the game. I enjoyed all of my time with all of you. I thought Infinity had a great community and I was able to explore aspects of the game with all of you I might never have gotten to otherwise, like strike forces and PvP and raiding. I enjoyed the joke threads and the events and all of it. I'm not sure I'll miss the game, but I'll miss the people.

It's not even like this is happening so much that it can't be addressed by the Moderation/Dev team. They simply won't have any of it. It is what it is. A man, who created a game, is telling another man that he shouldn't have an opinion about the negative aspects of that game.... and then... literally... taking his voice away from him. If you want to make a game good, you have to be able to accept negative feedback. But that's not what they're doing. They're telling us they are making the game the way they want to make it and if we don't like it, we should pick up and move on. So that's what we are doing.

I am probably going to get a lot of blast against me for this but keep in mind that this is not towards anyone or am I defending the game, or the company but just a reasonable opinion. COX is not paying me for saying this.



City of Heroes is a Service Game. This means that they are in the field of servicing. Although we pay to play this game we also have the right to quit as well as City of Heroes has the right to delete any accounts they feel that customers are abusing, “right to refuse services to anyone” or change anything in the forum if they see that words are being misinterpret or incite hateful conduct. The Forum is free to the public but keep in mind that it still belongs to City of Heroes and City of Heroes are responsible for that Forum and its contents that are being put in there.

For Example: Let’s say I go into a Starbucks and order a cup of coffee and it’s done wrong or I don’t like how it is done. I paid for it and I go off on the employees or even the company and make a big scene. People who are in Starbucks enjoying a quiet time or even the atmosphere are ruin because of my anger, frustrations, and yelling. Believe it or not because of what I am doing in there I CAN ruin or EVEN affect other people’s enjoyment, atmosphere, and even changes their emotions, anger can arise from them, or they can ignore it. Of course, Starbucks employees can say “I am sorry but you are going to have to leave or say “we have the right to refuse services to anyone.” And I said, “I paid for my drink, I can say whatever suggestions or opinions I want and you can’t stop me.”

It’s the same concept as what CoX is doing. They are “Refusing the Right to Services Anyone” they feel that is ruining the game for other people.

Suggestions and opinions that they see is harmful or create chaos in the long run must be stopped before it is started. How many of us read some of the forums topics and misinterpret the words. A simple farewell to the game from a long time player has turned into chaos. And I think this is what CoX was trying to avoid.

Accusations start flying, anger arises and hate comes across. Words that are written have many misinterpretations and interpretations. As I sit here and write this and people who reads this, many interpretation can derived from what I am trying to point out. Some people may think this is reasonable, some people may think, “oh geesh Doc is taking this too serious” or “Doc is being hateful” and others may think my god it is just a freaking game. And you know what?, I can understand how a simple words, ideas, or even suggestions turns into something bigger that was never there in the first place.

However we interpret this keep in mind that we are all different people and that’s how this world is made up and because we are all different people we all have different thinking, ideas, opinions, suggestions, understanding, and interpretation of meaning, words, or even phrases.
