I, and especially my 3 year old daughter, would love to see the costume creator on the iPad. It doesn't need to connect to the game or even transfer the costume designs.
Her favourite iPhone games involve dressing ballerinas, superheroes, and princesses, so the CoH costume creator would provide many hours of fun. -

A whole set of costume pieces, and a mission teleport power, just for having a different operating system?

No, it's new costume pieces and a power for $20. It looks like we Mac users will be able to download the mac client for free, but that won't get us the costume pieces or power.
This is no different than the Good vs. Evil edition, where new players got new costumes pieces and powers included. We existing players had to purchase those perks separately, just like we can do with the Mac edition perks.
There's no reason to be upset. There's been no indication that either version of the client will have sole access to any costume pieces, powers, zones, etc. It doesn't make financial sense to not allow all players a chance to buy more stuff. -

I bet its because, they don't know how to use windows, cause, you know the parts inside the machine are the same.

That makes perfect sense. I play City of Heroes (and WAR) on my XP partition on my iMac but I have no idea how to use Windows. *eyeroll*

I've been using Windows since 3.0 and I still don't get it. That's what I tell my family anyway. After I refused to do tech support for their Windows machines they all bought Macs. Now if only my in-laws would take the hint. -

From what I understand, Mac uses a weird flavour of Linux anyhow.. so...?

Mac OS X has its foundations in Nextstep, which used BSD. Both Nextstep and BSD pre-date Linux. -

No, you will be able to just download the client for Mac, with no cost involved (no "exclusive goodies" if you do though). If you have an active CoH subscription, you can play on Mac or PC.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yay! I'll buy the goodies anyway though.
If we already have an account and we purchase the Mac version can we apply the free month and goodies to an existing account? I'm all for supporting the cause. -

Keep removing characters. The text box is far larger than the allowed input. -
I've already got a couple of Macs and a couple of CoH accounts. While I'd love to not have to boot into Windows to play CoH, I'd hate to have to pay for a new account to get that privilege.
Will this be like World of Warcraft, where buying the game gets you both clients?
