  2. Well, it appears our schedules just don't match. Despite being your Gfriend, I don't think we have been on at the same time at anytime since this idea hit the forums. As such, I'm going to pass on this themed group. Thanks for your consideration though, and good luck with it.

Have your ever seen a blue cover pirate?
    I don't get it.

I don't feel the 2 are vastly as disconnected as your stating above. To me it is more like black ants vs. red ants. However, it was still just a joke.

Currently I'm reading the "God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, so I see this as "Natural Selection". CU is a mutation of the BMT. Only time will tell .....

He tried desperately to force his channel to catch on by attacking the rules, leadership, and approach of BMT, and with his SG-mates and a variety of others, it did. However, BMT remained the big kid in the neighborhood, though I can honestly say it doesn't matter to me what channel has what popularity since the point of all of this silliness is for folks to enjoy the game.
Not everyone left the channel due to such selfish reasons. Myself being a prime example.
  9. Despite being your Gfriend, we have yet to bump into each other. I'm still interest. Hope to see you soon.

With all due respect, one is a Global Channel and the other is a Tournament League. It is .... well.... comparing Apples to Oranges.

I think the point to the humour of this thread is that where BMT is (or was) unnecessarily moderated, the CU Global Channel survives, and strives, without those limitation.
  11. I am a better writer, than I am a player, and as such I could fill this thread with great ideas that I could never implement into the game. For me, I always seem to play a Tanker/Brute in every game I play.

The one character I will share with you that has been (and still is) a tremendous struggle to play is my character Hypermind.

Hypermind is the daughter of my main character, Dinah Might. I thought, what would be a great contrast to my current character, would be that Hypermind was a more "mental" character, then physical. This would create a conflict in their relationship that would be great to work with.

However, as I normally play "superman" type characters, I like to rush in and "bash and smash". Holds, slows, and other support type powers are not for me.
  12. I was reminded today of Converted Clock. There is another play I miss.

    Him and his Olympics.
  13. This seems like as good of time as any to throw my own SG out there. Although not a exclusively "Magical Members Only" Supergroup, the Pillars of Might is a magic themed super group. Allow me to explain.

    http://pillarsofmight.guildportal.com

The Pillars of Might are a team of chosen Champions guided by a mystical energy called "the Collective", formed by merged magical essence of seven powerful ancient magical users. The guardian of the collective, an NPC named Charles DeCoven, created the team to keep a balance of Mystical order as he has been granted the power of precognition, a secondary effect of being the chosen guardian.

Much like the Midnighters Club (We thought of it first!!!!), the Pillars of Might are the authority on things "magic" are are often asked to assist other organizations when dealing with mystical issues.

One of the feature of the Pillars of Might, is a grand library of Magical Texts that is located in or base.

The Pillars of Might are a group from the Champion server whose membership faltered slightly with the release of DC Universe Online. Recently, we created the SG here on Virtue and are once again trying to build up membership.

Advantages to our group is, we are a great group of mature players who have been playing together since CoH was released. We are small enough that you will not feel like an outsider in the group, and large enough that you will not always have to play by yourself. Since we are in a rebuilding process, we welcome input, lore, and etc from new players, and offer the opportunity to become a key member of the group.

If any of this interests you, feel free to give me a shout at @Dinah Might. This invitation is for anyone who read the above and would like to join.

PS. I would like to point out that Pillars of "MIGHT" has nothing to do with Dinah "MIGHT". It is just a coincident, and I am not the Leader of the group.
  14. WB. I'm still ingame. Hit me up at @Dinah Might

  16. I am always willing to join and help out with any group, I can bring other players to join as well. As long as it isn't a static team. I'm just afraid of committing to certain times. Send me a gfriend invite.
  17. Extremely sorry to hear that Elf. My heart goes out to you and your girlfriend.
  18. Man, I could spend a lifetime in this thread

    Fanmail
    Jericho Jones
    Ring
    Ria
    Sexxxy
    Xpp001
    Netherflare
    Pathershade
    Harmony Church
    Bert the Viking
    SHAM-ROCK
    Titanno
    Lady Tara
    Ranma
    B1sh0p
Catholic Knight (heck, he keep the boards interesting)

Lord, I could just go on and on, I feel like the last of the "old guard" making room for new heroes to take over. Sometimes, I feel like I'm too old here and have over stayed my welcome.

The above isn't a snipe at any of the current players, please do not take it that way, it is just I've seen so many faces come and go that I miss the old players that I "discovered" this game with.
