Thats a typical artist response I look at my friends art (Like Graver and Pep) and wonder if I'll ever get as good as them but when I complain to other friends I get the "U r teh awesomexorr " response .

You will always look at other folks work and see things they do that you can't do (yet) thats good because a sense of competition of striving to be just as good as your peers is a great motivator .

as for no professional tools , psha !
I still draw on typewriter paper with number 2 pencils and ink with off the self disposeable micron pens and folks still seem to like my stuff.

just practice practice practice and draw from life as often as possiable .

That all being said I like the picture over all and love the lil details

My only smallish gripe is your horns are missing and the forward wrist is much smaller than the back wrist , you may wish to add more extreme body movement as well next time

All in all a good solid piece

thats definitely whats happened you can likely expect the stars chibi output will slow down while she gets a handle on her new job but if you get a chance send her a pm congratulating her on her awesome new position

well the moment I have to hear someone claiming that they speak for the art forums is the day I roll my eyes even more so than usual .

Last thing we need is some inner circle trying to dictate policy and "speak for us" or trying to dictate policy on the art forums for those that chose to post .

And no we are not really a community we are more a very small subset of the player base that draws and an even smaller subset that draws and posts regularly .

Their are volumes and volumes of art that have been lost thru diasters (both man made and natural) as well as by the hand of man (witness the many hidden masterpieces that we find from time to time that have been painted over !

I only look as far as the next generation of scarfgirls and or boys , as long as my art makes it into my kids hands someday so that they can see how awesome their mom was I'll be fulfilled .

If my work becomes awesome enough to warrant archiving im sure that people will do that someday

Its a nice composition but you need to definie things alot more as alot of folks won't take the time to try to make it out .

Case in point my pencils are very very very light I have to fiddle with photo shop so that everyone can see them otherwise folks squint their eyes, give up and walk away

well my biggest concern is that its hard at first to make out the pic and whats going on in it ((Im figuring tho that its a broken up cyborg missing arms and torso in a junk heap ))

So you may want to give better definition to the figures
