The only thing I want to add are some stuffed rag dolls of her friends , like from the pic you did for me.

as for the coloring its a base of marker color , then colored pencils . I just like the shifts in color you can do when you start with a lighter or darker base .

I keep a clip board with typing paper that I doodle on constantly

I keep a lil folder of various pictures I find intresting

I like to do some sketching from life , especially when I get over to the zoo

Keep everything even your most embarressing drawings because its good to look back and see how you have improved

don't ever make it into a contest , enjoy your particular style
