    This argument holds no weight.

Brutes have dark armor, which includes a stun and a fear aura. One only lets enemies retaliate, the other stops them from attacking entirely. If dark armor brutes are allowed to murder their own fury bar, ice armor brutes should be allowed to hurt it.
  2. I have a bots/traps that runs without stamina. He took powers from leadership, teleportation, provoke, and hasten. That's all four power pools that I'm allowed, so there was no room for stamina.

No, I don't need stamina, even with three leadership toggles running full time. I can handle +4/x8 with bosses on most stuff and anything set for +0/x8.

By the way, yes, I have the nerve to give someone a swift uppercut if they get in my face like many do these days. I don't think it's funny to have someone trying to look cool by getting in someone else's face to cuss, spout how superior they are to that person, or threatening someone's life, or simply telling them they will kick my ***.

I will kick someone's *** if they offend me enough, or get in my face, no questions asked. American people wouldn't be the wusses they are now days if people actually stood up for themselves, and yes, I am a American.
    Fixed.

I'm sorry kid, but you're on a mental battlefield. Real strength doesn't matter here. I don't care if you are some martial artist, a black ops marine, or the likely fat, greasy haired, voice cracking, acne covered, speech impeded, friendless teenager.

You're not so much bringing a knife to a gunfight, as you are bringing "I play da foosball" to a chess game.

I read it as a thinly veiled attempt to further the "Knockback should be knockdown" agenda the OP had posted before, all framed as a loaded question.

The OP quoted a post explaining knockback in a post asking for an explanation of knockback. Ignorant.

The OP refuses to use the search button or look up the wiki. Lazy and ignorant.

All the innocent sweet talk? I'm not buying it.

You know, I had planned some witty comments and scathing replies. Then I sat and thought a moment more and realized: I don't need to. This says enough.

Silly question: If I'm flipping things, I'm causing extra transactions to be made, resulting in more influence destroyed. Wouldn't that lessen inflation?

People that broadcast for a specific AT does not really know how other powersets work or how to properly lead a team or just like playing safe.
That's not what Kelenar was saying. His post was largely sarcastic, commenting on the general mentality of blueside players. You are correct that no AT is required, but it's a hard thing to break in to most people.

Also, it's called a jukebox. And the song is Jukebox Hero.

    This is incorrect.

You are posting an observation ("Supply is low redside"), and a conclusion that was not reached by any stretch of logic ("The market is flawed").

The others are posting the same observation ("Supply is low redside"), but take into account the fact that population is low, which means demand is also low. In a smaller market, there is a larger gap between rich and poor. This is an economic fact, not an illogical leap. There is no flaw.

Three good reasons, in order of importance.
    1. I'm happy with my capabilities as an all human PB.
    2. The forms didn't fit my concept.
    3. The first build was expensive enough, and still isn't finished.

I like my PB the way he is. If I really really need the mez protection and don't have a BF, then I'll use light form. Most of the time, mezzers are easy enough to deal with between knockback and incandescent strike.

It's also like that /kin controller or corruptor who doesn't take speed boost. Avoids the scenario when someone on the team whines when you forget to SB him/her. "Look, you have a kin that doesn't speed boost, deal with it." I don't play my PB because I want to tank. I play my PB very selfishly. He can take care of himself. If the team needs a tank, they'll get one. "Look, you have a PB that doesn't have dwarf, deal with it." I want him to do what he does best, all the time: create chaos and mayhem.

I'm plenty helpful when the person asking the question deserves it. The point is, he came in here to complain about how knockback is annoying and further his agenda found in the suggestion forum, not to ask for help. Ad Astra hit it spot on before I had the chance to get snarky about it.

    Am I rude? Yes.

Was it uncalled for? I do not believe so.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find a crafting niche to call my own, so this is what I've settled on.

But hey, 5 million per slot, 10 slots a day... meh. It was enough to softcap my Dark Armor tank.

Open your eyes, we just did.

Knockdown is merely fractional knockback. To separate the two would require a rework of the code and would change game mechanics. Right now, you can slot a knockdown attack so that it becomes knockback. Your way would have that changed, and many people like how it is.

In short, you're wishing for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

    Now I'm confused.
He's saying he takes the KC sets for melee defense, not knockback defense.

Somehow, he's under the impression he needs the "chance for knockback" IO to get the melee defense bonus, which comes after four enhancements.
  20. You only need four out of the five Kinetic Combats to get the defense bonus. You can use the four enhancements that don't have the proc.

EDIT: If you're really getting 'pummeled' in the time it takes you to hit the F button, you've got more problems than knockback.

First, when something is knocked back, it is effectively held, until it stands up. It cannot hit you until it stands up. If it takes you longer to get to the enemy than it takes him to stand up, you either have stupidly slow reaction time, or you should turn off rooted.

Second, you seem to be relying on melee defense. If an enemy is standing toe to toe with you and fires a gun, it's still a ranged attack. Whether it hits from 80 feet away or 8 inches, melee defense will never protect you from a ranged attack. You are either exaggerating the problem in your mind, or you are this annoyed with having to follow your target that you create a problem that doesn't exist.

Your post is full of ignorance, otherwise mine wouldn't be this full of snark. You don't have to use the knockback IO. Even if you did, it's only a slight chance to knockdown. It has to fire at the same time that your other powers fire their chance to knock down to become knock back, which is a ridiculously low chance. Even then, it would only be a mag 1.34 knockback, so they can't be flying 'way away' unless you are fighting green and blue con mobs, in which case, they shouldn't be 'pummeling' you. Furthermore, if they were green and blue con, it wouldn't matter whether you had the chance for knockdown IO slotted. They'd still get knocked back.

Finally, get your lame attempt at a hidden agenda out of the player question section.

Go back to the normal servers and buy the salvage I'm flipping.

Ah-HA! My humblest apologies, I was blinded by the Black Dwarf. On the rare occasion that I'm in dwarf to tank, I still leverage eclipse to keep my damage resistance up.

As you said, the common teammates are blasters and scrappers, which I was receiving damage bonuses from. White dwarfs will more than likely hit the max resists on any team. Combined with Essence Boost and two self heals, I stand corrected. A White Dwarf on the right team should be mighty survivable.

I still wouldn't want to limit him to tanking, though.
