  2. Based on this post on the American forums:

Our SG - "Crackheads" has started one of these teams. 4 of us were owning groups of oranges/reds by level 4. We're following the guide but not strictly. We've convinced a few more of our SG to make this build and last night we had around 6 people in the team. At level 8 mobs of reds and purples were dropping within 10 seconds and I haven't even used Hot feet yet.

If you have a Fire/Rad Troller and if there is space on the team, pm me @Blaps for an invite.

We all use teamspeak so just let us do all the pulling, jump in when the time is right and watch your bar move like you've never seen it move before.
  3. For a pure 1v1 pvp build.

I have all attacks except cobra strike, dragon claw and warrior challenge) I have all secondaries except revive and Moment of Debt. I have focused accuracy, hurdle, health, stamina, combat jumping, superjump, aid other, aid self and hasten. Need to think about what powers to take at 47 and 49.

Was thinking the stun (cobra strike) or superspeed.

I've used all 4 pool powers but am happy to drop aid self for another pool power that you think is good.

    Any suggestions?
  4. Whenever I look for combinations, be it teaming or choosing powers or what invention bonuses to go for, I always look for what stacks. The thermal shields combined with electric armour give you SERIOUS damage resistance (around 70% smash/lethal good neg eng and cold and youll cap the res on fire and energy). Whenever I have a thermal with my ENG/ELEC brute, I know I can run into any mob and take alpha and not even worry about my health (which in the rare circumstance that it does go down can be topped up easily by heals) Not only that, you can get mez protection to fill certain gaps in electric armour's set.

The only thing you need to worry about is endurance which wont be a problem come lev 28/35. But trust me an ELEC armour brute with a thermal gives you alpha absorbing damage resistance, you'll be able to run on relentless pretty much all the time and you'll have every type of damage covered (bar toxic of course!)

    Hope this helps.
  5. Agreed, a good aoe aura would cure the fury issue and keep agro from the corr, what do you think about lighting field?
  6. As easy as it is to carry a few greens, its not always feasible and it is a pain having to going and buy them all the time. I mean, why stop there, dont get stamina and just buy blues etc. Also in PVP u cant just rely on greens (you'll have ot keep zoning when u run out.)

Im not sure what graventite meant when he said that ELEC armour is not the strongest of secondary resistance sets, accoridng to herobuilder it has better resist stats than anything else, true it doesnt have a heal but ive run both invulrability and elec and I can tell you elec armour is takes a pounding from all enemies and your still standing (including psionic) Take aid self and you are laughing (carry greens as well).

If you have any PvP concerns then take ENG/ELEC, if not then ELEC/ELEC because in a PvP situation, ELEC primary is useless as I witnessed in Warburg last night.
  7. Yeah I'd agree with sanphonox, get grounded, lightining reflexes. Dont worry about aid self for now (some might disagree but if you are teaming, you should always have a healer with you. Get Aid self in the 40's. Take combat jumping and 3 slot hurdle and vertical movement problem is fixed while still having hasten and superspeed. I managed to get in air superiority as well at 30 and it proved to be very useful vs bosses and u just chain brawl, airsup, energy punch and bonesmasher till fury builds up (air sup keeps them well grounded) then build up energy tarnsfer, total focus and if they are still standing just hit the air sup chain till ET recharges. Check out the american forums, in the brute section there is a good guide on the ENG/ELEC brute. I'm not adhereing to it completely but am using it as a guide for my own.
  8. As everyone has said, any brute, so it might be an opportunity to try out something you might not have made before. Ive got a lev 50 kin and I've been rolling with some FOTM (flavour of the month) ENG/ELEC brutes recently and while the aoe isnt great, the single target damage output combined with fury and recharge (lighting reflexes + hasten + speed boost) is insane to the point where you can actually start one hitting minions and sometimes lieutenants. I went and made an eng/elec brute and had a lot of fun killing things at an astounding rate when boosted. Also, inertial reduction and increase density will fill gaps of not having true knockback protection as well as allowing you to minimize your build so that you can get hasten and super speed as a travel power and let your kin buddy give you superjump. Again, you might not drop enemies as fast as some of the aoe focus builds but you will have a lot of fun having a maxed out fury bar one-hitting things.

As far as the kin goes, I'd say choose all your secondaries (bar repel) and go for single target damage else the brute will lose its fury.

Also, at lev 38 (I know - a long way off) make sure you run into the centre of the pack so that your kin can fulcrum you properly.
