Quote:First off, your board Avatar rocks. Well done.Justify it however you want.
I'm still convinced that the AE system in itself was a mistake. The whole "player-made content" thing was and is a delusion, and NCsoft knows it. It's a potential power leveling tool, nothing more. I've looked for actual storyline content and I've found only a handful that are worthwhile.
I personally use the AE to design custom content that appeals to me
(Origin Stories and the like) but I am not the best designer out there.
It is my hope that more people embrace and use this system. The
very fact that you can have some control over how a story or mission
is told is to ME a good thing.
But I may one of only a few that feels that way.

Quote:I like your style and thought process.Atlas is my default zone too - it has the best chance of finding new players who need help
Atlas is my default zone as well. I like the fact that the highest concentration
of players is located there. As with anything, the hoopla over AE will die down
soon and things should return to normal.
On the Freedom Server, I'm pleased to see that players still run events, contests
and socialize under the impressive statue of Atlas. The only thing missing really
is a player accessable coffee shop.
It is my opinion that after a day filled with safeguarding the weak, helpless
and oppressed - Your local hero would need his or her dose of Java and a
Donut.

I personally would like to see the Ritki take a Borg mentality and assimilate
heroes and villians. Of course this would require a certain amount of risk and
border on a PvP setting - As any hero or villian so changed would require help
to be returned to normal or be open to attack by other players.
Logging out at a hospital would enable the medical staff to begin the removal
of the bioware over a period of time, but you can also choose to remain 'Borged'
and fight both Heroes and Villians for the glory and advancement of the Ritki
Agenda.
Yes, I'm cRaZy but thought I'd share an outlandish wish. We now return to
your regular COH/V Universe.

Hey gang:
Just wondering what if any VOIP chat software any you might use
while on City Of Heroes/Villains? And for the developers, are there
any plans to eventually bundle a VOIP in the client?
I am aware that at least one major MMO does offer a client VOIP
option -However having only ever played COH/V, I'm not sure if
the bundle route would even worth exploring.
Either way, I do use Skype on a regular basis. But despite the
immense benefit of voice quality due to P2P (Peer To Peer) is there
another provider that could be recommended?
Thanks in Advance and Cheers! -
I've been a fan of the game since 2005. With that being said, the Going Rogue component is really a great addition. In classic comic book form, now a character
that you loved to hate can for whatever reasons change sides and be one of the
best additions to a Team.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here folks, but Going Rogue stands to not only
breath new life into our standard CO-X experience but really in my opinion almost
re-invent MMOs (At least for me.)
Now that I've wasted all of our valuable time, I just wanted to offer a very sincere
thank you for this highly anticipated feature. Can't wait! -

My two cents in this debate is as follows:
War Witch is better looking then Posi, so I don't mind either.

I often draw inspiration for a name from various sources:
The internet is obviously going to be a first choice for most. But don't limit yourself
to only one version or spelling. John could be spelled Jon, Johnn, Jonn and so on and
such. Since my wife and I are expecting, baby name books are also a good research
tool. Also consider searching though history for notable names that can be used.
Also try the same name in a different language if it fits with your character description
and backstory. Keep in mind, some players may assume that you actually speak the
lanaguage of your character's name (It happened to me yesterday when I chose a
Japanese Name) but on the plus side, it was an great way to meet a new player and
chat for a bit.
A good name is only half the story regardless. A well written description will further
distinguish your chracter from the rest. So whether you and your buddy are both
named John Smith and Jonn Smith, your backstory will set the tone and actually
define the name.

Quote:Hey there:One idea I was toying with was perhaps some thought might be given to allowing free transfers to the less active servers only along with some other incentive (such as a limited time/use temporary power or unique mission/badge). Maybe even each server a unique feature. Again, the goal would be to hopefully spread the load more evenly amongst all the available servers.
I wanted to only address one portion of your text, hence the fact that only
part of your message was quoted. I myself have recently transfered from a
server (Protector) that in my opinion was less active to one that has a great
deal more players present (Freedom)
While I can understand lag being a concern to some, I personally enjoy the
player/character interaction more on the Freedom server then my previous
home. My rationale is as follows: If I didn't want to be surrounded by more
players for grouping and conversation, I could easily play a game that only
offered single or small group play.
By no means am I putting you down for your question(s) - It is only my own
personal opinion.
Cheers!
