No most people do not agree with that.
You offer up those retread ideas as if they were new, they are not. The are also against the stated intent of the feature which has been said countless times at this point.
AE is in need of no fix at this point. People do need to refocus their attention on their fun though. -

It's just sad that the majority of players are content farming day afetr day and don't actually care about playing the game and experiencing the CoX world.
[/ QUOTE ]
If these people are having fun, and it's not costing you money for them to play, why do you care? You are not your brother's keeper.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah he is not for sure. What would you call him if you saw him in Cap spamming broadcast for people to join his farm?
Yeah me too. -
The game is indeed setup so you can if you choose too power past certain levels. If it was not you would not be able to do it period. Dev intent was not something that was in my post or that I was referring too in any way. I was talking about players choice.
-
What I like is the choice to do WTF I want to do either way.
SO, if I feel like running a new toon through the lower levels then I do, if not then I power past them. The game is setup so you have the choice to do what you want and that is WAI. -
That was a great study and there have been many many other like it since the mid 60's. Some were even taped, which when viewed reallly provides more insight into humans because of the additional factor of body language which can be readily seen.
I always found it really strange in humans that many are more concerned about what other people get/have than they are about what they get/have. They have total control over themselves, but they want to be/feel above others and certainly control them even if they never actually can the desire to do so remains. Very interest fact that trickles down into most human interactions. -

I just don't really understand someone who just got into the game and wants to gain 50 levels in a week or less without investing the time to actually play their character and learn how it functions in both solo and team situations. People like that I simply cannot help because what they may want from me, i.e. powerleveling, is something I cannot provide because it very much goes against my way of thinking.

My name is Darth Khasei and I approve of this message. -
Well, I use to use the stun proc that caused KB. I took it out because I wanted that slot for something else but it did send them flying.
-
Oh I agree, I help new people ALL the time (just ask LordXentie
) because I got helped when I came to this game new.
All I can say is what my mate says all the time, people are a trip. I don't get mad right off when people don't know something and I don't check their vet status when conveying information, which is how I help people. -

The larger problem is simply having an AE building in Atlas in the first place. Farming or not, it is detrimental to new players experiencing the "real game". Never should have been put there to begin with...
[/ QUOTE ]
Except you forgot the little part about the "devs" wanting it to be there.
Galaxy has been an excellent starting location for those not interested in hearing pointless arguments, sewer team requests, costume contests, anything generally non-regular mission team related and now AE related. It still is. -

Pulsar on its own isn't exciting, but coupled with other powers, it can change the tide of battle quite a bit.

This. -
Yeah plenty of games take player made guides and use them in leiu of dev made stuff. Yes, it would be excellent for them to refer to them especially the Kheld quide.

Good advice Lexx. I think I might need to do that that myself.
[/ QUOTE ]
Anyone whining about not being able to team that has not done what Lexx76 stated needs to stop, do what he says and then be happy again. -
Looking at the confrontational approach you have taken in your 40 posts in this forum, this kind of superfluous attack is expected. You win the hat.
Is that all you got mate? -
I think you have things all wrong about MA. I also have to say something seems off about your post, 4 year vet all friends are gone no ability to find like minded people to be friends with now that AE is here? Yeah something is off about that for sure.
No worries though, you sound as if you are halfway out of the door. Let me have your stuff before you leave ok mate? -
Good points. Although one of the hardest things to get new Kheld drivers to see/do is to play a Kheld as a Kheld and not x/y/z AT you just got to 50 on.
The essence of what you say, im in agreement with mainly because people don't RTFM. -
[ QUOTE ]
You're thinking too hard. MA is fun and I really don't care how it "fits in."
[/ QUOTE ]
Way to hard. I mean it is a virtual sim in a imaginary superhero world on a computer for goodness sake people. -
I think it takes more energy to get all snarked up and jerky, so I just help people.
Some rookie guy was in Cap and wanted to get a Jetpack from Granville but was short of money. He was a level 12 and I told him to do some radio missions and then he could get a mayhem and a free Zero-G pack. He didn't know that he had been doing contact missions.
He thanked me and said that he didn't want to spend 10k for a jet pack when he only had 12k to start and his enhancements were red. I gave him a million quid and sent him on his merry little way. Chalk up one more happy new player. -

I prefer the 100/100 split. Two accounts ftw
[/ QUOTE ]
I was pretty clear about your position at this point. -
Hmm...are you sure about the ganking thing being harassment? I mean really PvP is bascially no holds barred cut your nads off with a rusty can top environment. Ganking seems to be what happens everyday in PvP IDK maybe im missing something important?

...I mean, we do play this game to enjoy it, right?
[/ QUOTE ]
But that's exactly where the issues begin. The definition of fun for some is not the same for others. Some people will never have fun unless they can figure out and employ every technique (even the ones deemed as exploits by the Devs) to maximize something, may it be damage, soft-capping defenses and damage-resists or XP-gain.
The moment a tool that tells you how much XP you're making by the minute comes out, that's where these things start, and to be honest, in my transition phase from playing just single-player RPG's to playing MMO's as well, I became quite disgusted with the notion of "optimizing" my XP/l00t gain so my character would level-up and improve its stats faster. For me, enjoyment of CoX comes with enjoying the game mechanics and the gameplay differences in each AT/power-set combination, not at how fast I can level this, or that character... but as always... YMMV.
[/ QUOTE ]
I smiled when I read this mate.
Darn those pesky devs making me slog through 50 levels before I could actually experience the glory and bliss that is my PB and WS, shame on them.
People try to get to 50 fast for so many reasons. -
Hmm...Interesting. I am more than sure that people are risk free farming with dual boxing and friend killing like you propose. Because of that I am relatively sure you will get some takers.
Keep in mind that people present one position here the forums being anti-farm, yet you can run across these very same people in game running their own farm missions I have in the recent past so ignore anyone that presents that position. -
[ QUOTE ]
Sadly, mocking and team conflict would probably be the most likely outcome. There's more than enough "Build/ AT Superiority" issues as is.

There is soooooo much AT ingnorance in this game it is sad. I actually saw a post from a Dark/Dark/Dark defender saying he was kicked because he was not a healorz. WTF! The dark defender has the HIGHEST heal in the fuggin game, that is if you even need to be healed much at all with all those lockdowns, slows and -to hit debuffs flying all over the place. People pfft. -
OK take a step back. Think about what you wrote. Realize it is solution in search of a problem. Move on enjoying life and the game forgetting about past blunders.
