*giggles* Would it be more satisfying if I put cat ears and a tail on him?

I just finished my entry for the FArt Battle
!! So here it is!
It was quite a challenge for me to nót go into detailing *giggles*. Had to constantly tell myself that to make sure I wouldn't!
But I wanted to give a more "cartoonish" way of drawing and colouring a shot. And I might as well try and make it an entry for the FArt Battle and hopefully finish it in time for the early bird points(I did!!).
Somehow.. this drawing turned out better than I'd expected!
Now, let's hope the voters of FArt will think the same

Here's my entry!

Edit: Click here for a blonde Statesman (appearantly he changes appearance every now and then)
(though my entry will be the one I posted)

@Psi; You're welcome!
And for the record... I totally love your spin! Don't stop doing that.
I agree.. collabs are a grey area indeed.
When I coloured "Ellie" I made some changes when doing the inking (though that was requested by FloatingFatMan to make the costume like Ellie actually has), but otherwise kept the lines as close as possible to the orignal. I even drew over the "Miss Ellie" text *giggles*.
Is it then still a collab? Or is it a draw-over from another drawing?
Very confusing indeed.
@Muse; You did thát with your mouse?!
I wonder what you can do with a drawing tablet! *giggles* -
Just to clear up a few things about Psi-Bug's Chichester Dawson piece and my opinion on it...
I'm not offended or anything. I think it's a great piece. And I know the original is mine. I think Psi may possibly used the "draw-over" technique. Most lines are identical to the original, but there have been some significant changes.
Personally... I agree with CR on this... I wouldn't call this a collab, but a re-draw of a DeeDee Productions drawing which turned out to be awesome! And I don't mind... this time...
I showed it to the owner of the char (Welshman_EU) and he utterly loves it!

That's gorgeous PsiBug
! I love it!
And indeed, the pose is very lovely. It's... strong.. yet shy... which was exactly what I was looking for -

Sorry about the ad popups, usually you can click out of it.
I'll go see if there's a simular way for Paint Shop Pro aswell. -
I saw the vid. Very interesting! Though I use Paint Shop Pro.. so'll I'll look for something simular to play around with when JD is done ^^.

Quote:21 Jumpstreet is AWESOME! I have the whole collection on DVD! It makes me giggle everytime I watch *chuckles*I didn't
But right after you said that my mind did immediately flash back to 21 Jump Street... I probably would have recognized sooner if I didn't try to repress those memories...
Quote:Hi DD,
Can I use your Johhny Depp pic in a tutorial on using curves in Photoshop?.
Cheers VexXxa! I find it a fun project to work on. Though I started it for practice purposes only.... I MUST finish as I'm quite curious if I can pull the cloth off aswell... not.. pull the cloth off JD... that would be rude.... sexy.. but rude
Thanks Psi! If you could see J's hand you'ld see he waved back

Gratz Airhead!
So what were the answers then? I'm very curious!
I know I got many wrong.. as I'm not a puzzler... I have the brain for it.. but not the patience *giggles* -
Did about 2 hours work on the recolouring of Grey Hawk! Taking a break now.
But I thought I'd post a tiny preview...

Just in case people are wondering... Currently I've decided to practice just a little more before finishing Shikome's (Gray Hawk) request (girl with the bow) as I seemed to have lost my style a little. And it worked! I've got it back! Realistic.. but not too much..so you can still see it's not a picture...but more of a painting instead...*lookes pleased*
To prove it.. here's a sneak peak at what I've got sofar.
No promise...but I think I'll have another go at colouring Gray Hawk tomorrow
I used this for references, but using different lighting.

1st: Tartyrsause; because of the art... I don't get the clue though... (possibly because I'm Dutch.. I get that a lot
).
2nd: Defiance Jones; Even though it's not finished, I can see this would have been quite awesome. (will we get to see the finished piece at some point?)
3rd: Christopher_Robin; It's the eyes... they are hypnotizing! Very lovely drawing of Xllusya!
I'll PM my puzzling part.

I'd go for exenting the open entry.
Yay for last minute show ups!! *giggles* Glad you could make it, guys! -
At least you came up with sómething!
It would be awesome to have night and day.
But tricky aswell as people from allover the world play CoH and have diferent nights and days... -
Awesome is very well put!! *giggles*
That ís one LOVEly "pencil" drawing indeed! -
And they keep coming hahah. Still awesome.
Will you be colouring them (or some)? (then those would become collabs!)
Not that they need colouring... the lineart is brilliant itself! -
Very nice indeed!
Thanks for the opportunity CR!
