Due to the fact that I've got my customized login screen going *cheers happily*, I thought I would like not only DeeDee to be on it...but Mike too!
So... I went sketching.... borrowing the awesome trade/collab drawing of Dee by CR and me of DeeDee (I hope people haven't fallen asleep by now...) and drawing Mike right beside..or behind her...not quite sure which one it is *giggles*.
Obviously I can't draw like CR can...so I "overdrew" (is that a word?) CR's drawing of Dee so she would match the style in which I drew Mike in. Sofar... I think I'm digging it
Anyways.. a little preview!
Will need to sort out both of their suits *nods*.
Feedback is welcome btw!
Edit: Sorted out the suits.. and gave 'm some basic colouring.

I like the custom login screens peops!
And now I've got one too!
Had to make a picture of it...as somehow my screenshot option is not working with CoH (alll I get is a black screen or nothing at all... should really try and fix that at some point *nods*)
But here's mine!
I used the amazing art-trade-what turned into a collab Christopher Robin drawing of my character DeeDee aka Darth Delicious (ofcourse)
Also made a Maelstrom one... very simple... (but then again.. I like simple)
Just click on it if you wanna download it... it will load the bmp version you can use.
Obviously this is not my art... I got the picture of Maelstrom here: linkie to awesomness!
Thanks OminousVoice for helping out with this!

*pouts* Now look what you made me do with all that talk of chibis!
I was going to jam something...and came up with thís!
A little chibi portrait (if there is such a thing) of my main male toon Mysterious Mike.... Just a portrait...because I struggled madly trying to get him a decent body...
My muse is poisoned with chibis!
He does look kindah cute though.... wrong.. but cute *giggles*
Now I'll go and try to make my muse focus on other stuff *get's whip*. I'll teach 'm going chibi on me! -
Quote:*pokes CR back with a giggle* Ah yes... but then it followed by: "I'm not quite ready to try tackling guys in this style yet." *points at the word 'yet'***pokes DD**
She said only female characters...
apparently she has this "thing" about drawing guys.
You never know when the time will come!
And once she does pull off a male chibi char, she's ready and Mike's refs will be here waiting!*nods*
Oh...and it's not a "thing"! It takes practice! And practice takes time... *points at her own art gallery and then at CR's and Henri's and...and...points at all the rest of the well knownartists* Well... you see my point, I'm sure *grins*
I'm sure you will pull it off one day, TemerousNox. Apparantly not yesterday...but one day. *nods*
Till then, we all shall enjoy and adore your female chibies! *cheers happily* -
OOOhhhh!!! They look soooo adorable!!
I saw CR's Cloe.... to start with... and OMG they keep on coming!
I wanna hug 'm all! *giggles*
I'm just gonna put up some reffies here too...
Let's see... there's DeeDee (Darth Delicious) ofcourse
But.. if you're in the mood to draw something male instead...
Here's Mysterious Mike for you.
Great work sofar girl!

Here's a little something I've done recently.
For a full description I send you to my DA page.
Just want to say, it's a drawing by Andrew Wildman of CoH toon Jessica (Gravity Mistress).
I took part of that drawing and altered to suit what I was planning to use it for, and coloured it.
-
Like I stated on your DA page.... I love it!
To me it looks like the robot (sorry, I don't know who is who *blushes*) is trying to sneak up on the guy..but the guy is on to him without the robot knowing it... Works for me!
*waves* -
Indeed great pieces sofar!
Well... Today I was jammin' a bit.. in the hope I'd get some kind of Halloween drawing started...but my muse must have trouble dealing with the sad and rainy (in NL anyway) weather of the just started season autumn... This... is all I managed today... *pouts*
Incase I don't get to drop a better one...
Happy Halloween!

Yeah, like I said.. still a LOT of work to do on Saira... I think I'll have to bring down the dress (mind... not undress) to make it more suitable for the rest of the drawing as I won't be able to bring the rest up as realistic as the dress looks *giggles*.
Thanks for the feedback peops!
(odd, I'd swear I had replied on this already.... *shrugs*)
@VexXxa: Thanks! And me too! But the work is in progress as we speak*bounces eagerly*
-
Welcome and that's an awesome way to start your new addiction! *giggles*

Good looking characters indeed! And great references too!
Did you know... we actually have an art request thread going on for requests like this?
It's right here.
Personally I go there when I'm looking for something new to draw.
Hope it helps!
*waves* -
Time for a little update. This request is coming really slow! I hope I'll finishe it before the year 2012 *giggles*.
Anyway...new dress for Saira! (and yes... I definitely used a reference!)
Still a lot of work to do on the dress. I'm not completely satisfied yet....
Though Saira herself still needs a lot of work too obviously
*waves*
DeeDee -
That is looking very good, Henri!
It looks like you are on your way to your style!
It's fun to see you grow in your artz!
I do has a little feedback for yah.
The thingies around his shoulder... (I know what they are, but can't think of the english word for 'm at this point and am too lazy to use a translater *giggles*) They look a little like huge sigarettes...
It may help if you put a third, an even brighter...or lighter, colour on top, to make them more shiney.
Do have to say.. I adore the eyecolour!
*waves*
DeeDee -
HENRI! THAT IS AWESOME!!
Your drawing practice is really paying off! -
Hahha, great minds indeed
Oooh! Nice firethingies!
Feedback: I think the suit still needs some light/shadow work. It looks flat compared to the rest of the colouring.
Background... hmm.. always tricky *nods* -
lol! I just started to color this one *giggles then realizes she hasn't mentioned that in collab central*
Looking good sofar though! Actually a lot like mine.. just more light reflecting *grins* -
Oooh! Henri...that looks shiney!! I loves it!
Also.. just like Bubba himself did *giggles* I started colouring the pumpkinhead.
Only did some basics... so.. collab away!
Was maybe going to throw it in the Art Jam aswell, but I'll let Bubba decide on that.

Great summary Bubba!
My personal favourite theme was the filmposter. I loved it. And that's not because I won that one, but because I had the most of fun making that piece.
Another one I liked was the "anonymous" theme. It was quite a challange to try and draw outside your usual style (even though I didn't have one at that time *giggles*).
I'm also very fond of the Early Bird system, like I stated before. Eventhough the exact system didn't work 100% properly this year, it will sure have potential for next year! -
References are the way to go for me, so I say YAY!!! for references!!
I hope I'll be able to make more art without references one day....but I'm not counting on it... so... again... YAY!!! for references! *giggles* -
Wow!! That's an awesome improvement on your scetch, WHTJunior!
I think you actually caught the motion you had in mind now. Great work!
Using Poser4 sounds like a brilliant idea to me! Yay for Poser4 (even if it's oooold)
I'll keep this one in mind. Maybe I'll pick it up after finishing something I should have had finished a looooong time ago -
Quote:Hmm I could indeed. Or just throw something in like you did. Not participating but adding art anyway... There are optionsYou could always work a month ahead and use your piece as the example for each month's theme.
.
Thanks for the compliments peops!much appreciated!

Thanks for your thoughts Bloodspeaker!
The main reason why participants enter their submission at the last possible time...minutes...and seconds even, is to prevent other participants to see what they've come up with and therefor not giving them a change to work even harder to try and top it.
So keeping the entries from the public untill the deadline (which imo should be set at the start of the contest), would be an excellent suggestion. *nods* And to keep in a fair shot at the Early Bird Vote, the host should probably mention it on the boards when a participant (and name him/her too) has entered their work already, so the public can see the host is being fair. (unfortunately there are people who really don't trust anyone untill proven otherwise, so to rule out any accuses to the host..this should work).
The judgement of a piece can be done by the host as soon as a piece was send to him and if it's not according to the rules the host can PM the participant about it. That would also prevent a host putting up his opinion on the boards (even if it's not their intention), which can set the tone to a piece for the voters.
When the deadline is done, the host can post the pieces... and maybe even keep out the participant's name, which might result in people actually voting for the artpiece instead of on the artist (if such thing has happend, anyway).
I'm just keeping options open, really.
So yeah..that's my input for today
