Actually, if you swing by my YouTube channel, you can find the six-part series of my HeroCon 2008 panel on making movies in CoX. (Plus lots of the CoX videos I've done over the past couple of years.)
Also, my website has the PDF from the presentation, and lots of useful info on demo editing.
Other great resource is the Paragon Wiki, which has info on demo files, demo editing, lotsa links, and explanations and stuff.

I've lived in Phoenix for seven years, never seen it snow here. It used to snow in Tucson on a regular basis while I was in college, which was how I got my snow 'fix'.
*sighs*
Then again, I will be in Tucson the day after Christmas - maybe it'll snow!

For this, I sincerely apologize to you, for the writing on this arc is awesome, and I say loudly that you should be working for the dev's as a developer. Aeon's dialog in this arc is incredible.
But.
It took me FOUR resets to complete this arc, because of mobs that simply did not appear. It is a testament to the strength of your writing that I did not simply rage-quit and go play Champions.
I would recommend that you express displeasure with the guys who run this fine game at the bugginess they have subjected you to.
Because it is a shame, a damned shame, they gave you a shot at this and then spoiled it.
I appreciate the compliments, but I don't think they're intended for me.

According to the official rules, no, we did not have to submit a copy of the actual arc and its files this time.
As for why the count didn't go up, I've not experimented with whether actually FINISHING the arc is the requirement to increase the count. What happens if you get all the way to the end, but you don't rate it, don't comment, and don't click FINISH, but instead just close the window? Would it not count?

You both made a lot of really valid points though (and pointed out a few glitches that the MA made to my arc after I published it, grrrr), so I went back and fixed them to the best of my ability. Besides, it's not like my arc's gonna win this one (I've played some REALLY good ones from this contest), so no harm in tinkering.

I'm just worried because though I submitted my arc a couple days ago, I had to extensively rework it due to major bugging problems on two of the missions. Now it all works, and now it's a better arc... but I don't know if the good doctor has already played the mediocre buggy version.

BTW, I'd like to thank the other entrants who very generously ran my arc to give me feedback - I'm still working my way through theirs and will hopefully get done before the deadline tomorrow night in case of last minute tweaking!
It really says a lot about our players that even when competing, they still help each other.
