Congrats to everyone who thinks they're in a better position now! And condolences to the others who don't.

Looks pretty cool! Looking forward to more...

Done and over. I don't think much good can come from keeping this up. We need to keep our well-earned rep as the best part of the forums!
I, for one, am looking forward to the art contest. Good luck to all the participants! -
The "packages" make me think of the East German womens teams from some 30 years ago....I'm still not convinced some of those weren't "modified" guys.
Anyhoo, nice "tweak", Shia!
P.S. Told you all Mako was a chick! -

Take care, and I'll still be watching on DA!
-
Well, I've managed to miss attending all of these...lol. I hope you all had fun!

I would imagine the whole Olympic format would change were there supers around....so I think comparing these to reality won't work here.
I mean, the high jump....one guy with super jump shatters that record without even trying.Plus, the whole "defense" vs your competitors...a well placed ice slick could do wonders in a foot race.....lol.

Quote:I'm not looking to fan to fan the flames of this argument, but something touched on the peice I'm working on:
To me, super powers make gender irrelevant in physical competition. My event has men and women and non-humans all mixed in together. My Olympics are fantasy. I have no problem with someone else structuring their Olympics however they please, though I could certainly see the rationale behind it being a criterion in the judging.
If it's gotta be somehow realistic in the way that the Olympics are actually structured, tell me now so I can stop working on my piece lol.
I agree - I would think "normal" goes out when we're talking about people who can fly and toss fireballs around.
It's Wassy's call, however, so we'll see. -
That's very nice! They did a great job on the lacy bits. Congrats!
-
I'm loving all of them so far - the latest two, from Pyro and Shia, are no exception...well done!

Here's one NOT to include: sAUcEbOy.
I commissioned him a looong time ago (paid in full in April 2008) and have sent numerous email and notes since then, and they all go ignored. He manages to attend conventions and do other stuff somehow... I wa sent a note on DA from someone else in the same round of commissions who was in the same boat.
So, I'd recommend avoiding any of his commissions like the plague. Or maybe two plagues. -
Quote:I was fighting Crey last night and laughing at how the guys would shoot at me once and then run up to pistol-whip me. Does Countess Crey only give these guys one bullet each?
"The good news is that you're all getting new guns. The bad news..."
To her, they are like Deputy Barney Fife. One bullet, in the pocket, please. -
Have anything "Blue Oyster Cult"-ish? Black and Silver or The Pact or something of the sort? I'm killing Supa trolls, and that would work. ;P
Edit: Haha! The "more cowbell" song ended just as the rave ended. what timing. -
Plus, I'm still trying to work something up in the "macaroni glued to construction paper" genre.
-
Looking forward to seeing what Scooter has to offer!
And GnR atm.....if only he didn't make "Aiee Aiee Yah" a lyric in every song... -
-
Quote:Cool thanks for that... you know there was angry music in the 80's too.
Yeah, stuff like this will definitely get a person riled up. -
...pation.
(you all jumped the gun there!)
(Edit - nice piece, LD! Good luck in the contest!) -
