Quote:Good giddy gods yes! I was so excited about getting it on my Corruptor, thinking it must be something like the Water Spout only to find it's this diminutive little thing that's barely visible.Could we please get a graphical update for it? Just use the Water Spout or Scirocco's cute little sand storms in a different color. It would make the power all that more impressive!
Yes, yes, yes. Please turn it into something people go 'oooh' at. -
Life's too short to team with ill-mannered buffoons who enjoy goading others with subjects which they know are controvertial. He was looking for a rise and he got it, don't give them the satisfaction in the future, they're not worth it.
Quit team, report, ignore, move on. -
And there was I thinking you were about to turn into She-Ra...
No sign of my NA doppleganger but I know he's posted recently. -
Back on the old EU forums I made a suggestion for a micro-transaction pack that gave 20 costume slots to assign to your toons as well as this bizarre thing I called a 'Costume Change Emote'. (Not that I'm saying they got the idea from me but hey, great minds and all that...)
As pleased as I am to see the latter enter the game, I would still very much like to be able to earn/buy more slots for my toons. As Liz said, these are no longer just used for costume changes, often they're used for character effects, transformations etc and I'd very much love to see more slots around. The downside of course is that it would require reworking the costume selection box but just adding a slider at the bottom would fix that IMHO.
So yes, yes and yes again for this. Even if we have to earn them through Day Jobs, buy them through micro-transactions or complete another task for the Tailors, I'd do it. -
I love my Claws/Regen. Fast and furious. Not indestructable but still pretty damn resilient. And the redraw time on claws is reasonable compared to other weapons. I chose Regen over Willpower due to the amount of knockback that Claws can do sometimes which may undermine Rise to the Challenge. Same could be said for Invincibility. Plus the knockdown/back can also give Regen a chance to pump up your HP points while the foes get back up.
That said, Claws is a fairly forgiving set so it'll probably go well with most things. -
So we're blessed with a 'Lounge' it seems?
Fantastic. I'll take the large, leather recliner in the shady corner and observe.
Miss my unique forum title though. Others have lost their's and they had to do scary things like lick Ghost Widow's boots for that too. -

Double post.
Now how did that happen?
Grrr... -

Anyway, salutations to our American cousins. I've been an avid reader of the US boards for a long time (so I already know who you all are) but at last I can provide my own comment, sarcasm and surrealism.
EDIT: Just seen Forbin's new avatar. Damn, I'm going to miss Foamy. -
Quote:Apparently in the Divine Comedy the innermost circle of hell was reserved for people with duplicate names. Although you're one poster (well one of two) who'd know that already.
I considered changing it to Virgil before the merge but I'm the pilgrim, not the guide.
And knowing my luck, it'd be taken as well. -
Hi folks.
From having a browse, it looks like all of us roleplayers have got a joint board to use. A big hello from us RPers the other side of the Atlantic.
This also means that we'll be able to participate in each other's forum RP although that could have an impact on the RP world if things get too large scale. Either way, it's nice to be in touch with the wider RP community. -
Twas inevitable. Still I'd rather this than losing my name altogether.

Relax - there's plenty of time for a forum merge FAQ before tomorrow

Bet you there won't be one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course there won't be. Maybe a hasty post ten minutes before the boards close down which will be useless since I can't see them at work.
And then I'll have the joy of logging in on Friday to find I'm GenericPoster345865. Sorry Rednames, I'm feeling pretty cynical right now and this wall of silence is not encouraging. -

Memory? Of what?
No, just that I think that jack stuff had run it's course by the time my missus decided to get of my computer. Flippin' FaceTube or w/e.

No worries. It just sounded like those conversations I have when I'm about to say something and then the subject just eludes my um... thingy... that thing... remembering stuff? Errmm.... oh memory! That thing.
Twas just a joke. -

If you go to the 5th post down in this thread, there's a link to three videos taken at the Comic Con. One of them shows one of the new Spines skins of which there are a few apparently.
It's certainly been enough for me to roll a new Spines Scrapper to try them out when i16 goes live. -
The only information I've found so far is this post that states that the animations are entirely new and not recycled.
This at least tells you what powers will have alternate animations. -
Recluse's Victory.
And yes, I'd love to see more of our in-game actions having consequences. I think the main problem is that after a while, people get the badge and then it gets ignored. If there was more of an incentive to take part in these activities (and no, I have no idea what) then maybe we'd see more people participating. -
Okay, now I'm now going to have to make a bubbler in bright rainbow colours just to annoy all the ridiculously macho types.
Me: "Gather for bubbles!"
Them: "Now way! I do not want pink and orange bubbles while I'm killing things!" -

If you're at Comic Con make sure to stop by and get your own Awesome Button.

It's not 100% impossible for an EU player to currently be in the US you know.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it's not. But 99.999999% won't be, so rubbing their noses in it and all that.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the message is quite simple - to be awesome, you must be in America
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the EU playerbase is living proof that this is not so. -
But no Ghost Widow!? Shocking. I miss being slightly intimidated by her ladyship at player con events.
And you know I love you guys but several hundred pounds to get out there? I don't think so. I guess the only player meets we'll ever see this side of the pond now will be player organised ones.
Edit: Not to say player organised meets are bad, I just liked trying to pry information out of the Brighton Boys. -

As for your handles, we will be giving you more information on name conflicts and what to do to change yours after we have made sure that everything is functioning properly on the new vBulletin Message Boards. We appreciate that this is a serious concern, but rest assured we are aware of the situation and will endeavor to minimize any impact this will have.
[/ QUOTE ]
This does give me cause for concern. As we have been told that we can't change ours after we've been merged, the above would seem to imply that we would need to if there's a conflict. Given that I know there's someone on the US boards with my name who registered at least a year before I did, I'm bracing myself for bad news.
Even if they just insisted on an 'EU' tag on the name to prevent conflicts, I think it would be better than a complete rename.
Ah, let the rabid speculation begin... -

Clearly not mine either...
IIRC from phoning friends in the States, 8am BST, which is when some DXP weekends have ended in the past is sometime in the small hours for our American cousins. So I guess what I was saying is that it wouldn't be during office hours for them.
Either way, I'm hoping that it does run on till the next morning. Ending it at 9pm over here would seem rather silly. -
It's probably based on US timings now. No-one wants to stay in the NCWest office until 5 in the morning to turn it off for us so we have to go with when they want to go home.
-
From what I've managed to gather from the conversations on the US boards, there's another panel of colours - they're divided by Light and Dark tints. If you look on the picture where Healing Flames is being tweaked, you'll see an entry for 'Bright Fire'. I'd imagine that can be changed to 'Dark Fire' and our blacks and dark colours will be under that. The whites are already on the Bright page.
Over the top, you can see the different page tabs too which seems to be how we'll be able to skip around the creation section without losing progress.
