Howdy all.. Been one of those days! -
Well from my recent experience, something is going on, as when I was filling in for Posthaste Friday night, I had 2 new people show up who were trolling the crowd around me. From being paitent after my show I come to find out they normally play on Freedom, but were bored over there so they cam eover to pick on us "RPers" (for those that remember the furrsecution characters they were trying the same thing only in a reporter type vein).
Whether this means that Freedom is less populated IDK, but it is interesting none the less.
(And yes, they got the IC Shecky is a degenerate treatment once I saw that they were trolling) -

New or not, if someone can't even express themself on an 8th grade level, they shouldn't be wasting time playing videogames.

That being said, people are jerks. IT shouldn't be a knee jerk reaction to something you don't like to pick on it. It shouldn't be the cause of a thread like this or the derailment of a decent thread. More get accomplished with honey than with hate. Try asking nicely the first time and you just might find that people are more receptive overall, and those that aren't were not gonna be receptive to the anger posts anyway.
That being said, While I did see some flames thrown at the OP, I also saw a lot of people trying to ask nicely, and that can get lost once a defensive front is up. Yes I had a hard time reading the OPs original posts because of the colors, but it wasn't any worse than some of the others that post on these boards. I hope the OP keeps coming back and posting here, just because I think its nice to get more opinions, and the OP seems to have a good head on their shoulders.

The fun of RPing to me is the fact that it takes more than 1 person to make it worth while, otherwise its jsut a writing excercise.
Yes there are idiots who insist they know everything about you from the start. It makes it worse when you try to play a character with a secret ID and show up out of costume in the secret ID which is only mentioned in your bio, but that is a rant for another time.
OF course I do have one character that will know what a person's name is, but that is when on air and that is DJ Shecky. I have it as he has a small earplug that announces the name from someone out of site in the D who sees who everyone is for security purposes. The reason he knows the names is so that he can be friendly and welcomng to them, plus so I can do Roll Calls while on air. Outside of a name, he knows nothing about people, and when he is not DJing he won't know the name of someone new. -
I'm always in trouble.
This just in: Talk like a pirate day has been cancelled this year due to the Somali pirates holding it hostage. They claim they do not talk like that and wish to have their accent used properly. -
