the word Nerf not sure when it was first used to make things weaker but its a COmpany that used to make Foam weaponry like guns and such. The Nerf material was soft and light and would cause no injury even with serious applications of force.

Couldnt they just make Chain Induction a wide cone with a 3 target limit or something? And just have the animation jump from the targets it hits or is that too difficult to code. Im not super techy when it comes to programming.

laughing you are forgetting they have to do this for every model, every size of model, and every difference in skeletal design due to costume changes. They have already stated that animations is the longets and hardest thing to do.

Why does it have to have knockback resistance? WHy does it have to have immobilize resistance? Shouldn't the set have inherent weaknesses that you could choose to cover with pools or ignore and play to the sets strength? Unlike ALL of the other sets it has -end resistance, thats its unique feature. They may make a change to the way end drain works to make this set look appealing. Not every defensive needs immobilize and knockback resist. That is what we have pools for. If they did have it inherently, this set would be better than Fire Aura in terms of protection in ALL regards, Fire doesnt get a move to speed them up it gets a Tanking move which we already proved brutes cannot do. Burn doesnt help fury and it doesnt have a god mode clicky that you can use anytime. you have to die first.
Stop whining about what you dont get, and look at what you do get.
-end resist, slow resist, +recharge speed, +running speed, Unstoppable like power, no self heal kinda sucks but aid other will work fine, we get a damage aura similar to Fire whihc is affected by fury but doesnt increase fury on its own, it is the ONLY set toget TP resistance, and an endurance recovery move.
I do feel you guys on the useless passive it seems fire suffers from this as well.
They could change it to a clicky knockback immob protection, like a inherant breakfree power that lasts for like 10 seconds or something with a 30 sec cooldown could be cool but it only works for Knockback and Immob. Just my thoughts on it. -
Charged Brawl accuracy is the same as Barrage, Jab, stone punch, and the other 1st powers no change is needed. Your base chance to hit with it is 75% just like any other single target power, you will get unlucky streaks but no worry there.
Single target damage isn't as great but we have an added side effect of endurance drain which should be made to moderate levels to compete with the lack of single target damage. None of the sets save for stone melee will ever compare to EM it has always been that way, and Fire deals more with the Dot's added in anyway. we do have more in the way of AE attacks compard to other sets while in pvp this may seem "less desirable" but as a brute your fury once high makes any of the sets dangerous, you dont need maximum damage when played right, meaning getting the jump having inspirations etc. The less exp thing if it is true needs to be worked on for Chain induction but other than that the set looks great. -
Seismic smash is MUCH faster on Animation time as it uses the Bone Smasher animation.
And why is everyone raving about ET? its not BETTER than Total Focus in terms of per hit damage its even. Unless i missed a patch note somewhere. And doesnt Seismic hit multiple targets that are close together or no? I could be wrong there. -
No stone is pretty safe i think.

no Foo Ill let a Scrapper fight the boss he doesnt need protection, In the later levels a Blaster, Defender, and Controller might if the spawn is large enough. Scrappers are a Self Sufficient AT in teams they act a lot like the wild cards. They run around and attack at will to help the team. A tanker is focused to keep the "Squishies" safe. Not the Scrapper. As My tank I never worry about Scrappers really unless they need the help with the attention they get. But I am always watchful of the squishier Ats because I can instantly take the mobs attention off them and onto me if the need arises.

The only Time i have ever needed to blow of Hoarfrost is when there is toxic damage I want to help to resist, or if Myt health is falling faster than the defenders can help me mitigate it(which is rare).
But yeah, grab boss and mezzing units aggro and leave it at that, the group can handle the rest while you keep those nuisances at bay.
We are not the unstoppable gods we used to be but at least we still have our place, cause a scrapper cannot take hits like us. Even after I5 and ED -
Hagis hit the nail on the head IMO
My Ice/Axe tank keeps groups safe by keeping dangerous boss mobs on their [censored] for the majority of the fight, I can't tank the whole spawn but do I really need to tank Minions? -
Bill Brasky is a brute and I watched HIm solo Hamidon while he was at 5% health!

The 5 AT one is true. Statesman stated (wow that sounds redundant) in a different thread that the 5th AT is known as the Dominator

Enix looked up at the Babbage standing in the distance. He then flew forward as his feet lifted off the ground and quite literally flew towards him.
"Alright you mechanical monstrosity you will be cleansed!!!"
Enix's black tanktop, jeans, boots, and hair suddenly changed into that of his Guardians metallic armor, sky blue with white arcane writings upon it. Reaching the hulking metal horror he unleashed his inner strength and held one arm outward stabilizing it with one hand like the barrel of a gun.
"EAT THIS! LINEAR CANNON!"
From his extended arm fired a white and blue blast of etheric starfire hammering into the beast. The metal roared under the stress and Babbage's attention turned to the 6 foot tall Guardian of Ether. From it's massive hands flew bolts of electricity, Enix nimbly closed the distances dodging as many of the bolts as he could, Taking a respite on his way closer to the creature while simultaneously throwing blasts of starfire its way. Upon reaching the end of the gap he cocked back his fist as it charged with power and swung it onto the thigh of the brute. The explosion of power damaged the leg and Babbage raised its two hands as twin arcs of lightning spouted forth downard towards the hero. Enix lept back in response dodging the Lightning bolts and held his hands outwards as starfire spewed forth hammering into Babbages chest. The deadly dance continued between the two of them like a new age david and Goliath, both were drawing to their end as Enix stood up after an assault of lightning blasted him backwards.
"Alright time to end this..." Enix muttered as he unleashed his inner strength for a second time while focusing. He leaned once again, planting his feet, into the Linear Cannon position and let the powerful blast of Ether followed immediately by a concentrated beam of starfire, finishing up with one large powerful blast of power that sent the Monstrosity reeling, landing on its back, the things servos grinded to a halt and the being was no more... for now.
Enix fell to one knee breathing heavily trying to regain his stamina after the massive metal robot had fallen and stopped functioning.
It shows Enix's reliance on the channeling of Starfire through his body to accomplish his powers, but in doing so (as shown in the end) takes his physical stamina, making him tired quickly, and needing to "catch a breath" often. -
There is a small group of heroes in Paragon City that fight against the encroaching darkness of the nictus(not warshades mind you) the fiends of the shadowshard, the Rikti, and other beings who would defile the innocent citizens of paragon city.
We are the coming Dawn, the cleansing agent. With so many villains in city it is almost foolhardy to take on all simultaneously. While other supergroups are handling the street thugs, the Council, and the less supernatural. We deal in the purification of the foulest of villains. Are members are required to show an uncanny sense of justice, honor, and humility. We are a small group currently only 3 members. Myself, Enix Krynvalus, The Myrmidon, and Hero of Light. But we are looking for newer members to swell our ranks some. Requirements for joining can be found at our website hosted by the Myrmidon Here
It has been a bit since we updated the member list (ooc: gf doesnt play and DAWN quit the game) but we still watch the forums, and will be updating soon. Post any questions here about the Daybreak and its members.
