Quote:Wow, really? Ty for being kind enough to offer the right to do the grunt work though, much appreciated. Either way I don't have time to commit to it so its up to Peril if he wants to take on being the official promotion poster-boy or not. "If" he does I will make the time to handle getting prizes once the details are sorted out.You will notice I said promote and sponsor, but specifically said not running. Ideally we could have PVPEC harass the various servers about its existence, make their flier dealies, and browbeat whoever the devs are now into allowing for some sort of awards to the winning groups. The actual organization and running of any type of ladder I would not want in the hands of anyone except the pvpers participating in it.

Quote:I think I have the original setup for this (not positive though, I know the threads we had all the rules worked out on is past history when the new forums came out) but I personally just don't have the time to run it any more Sneaky. So unless Peril is interested I would say we will probably pass on running it but support it in any way that we can.
Also, I don't mind PVPEC sponsoring and promoting the ladder, -

Elf Talker and Bud got shut out in the arena by yours truly. =) -
1st in after Doomlord post.
I sooo miss daddyDoomlord. :-) -
Ive waited a day or 2 to post my response so I could give it some thought. I came up with a Tl,DR post but have decided my fingers are cold and I don't feel like typing. Ty for the appology and GL with your event if/when it occurs.

Lol. Yeah as usual I was dead half the TF. Sad thing is that is the one toon I have that I don't play like a tank really.

He is honorable tru warrior, you should not provoke him.
On a side note I was in RV on Freedom at like 5am this morning and some scrapper sent me a tell that they were reporting me for interupting their private duel under the statue. I didn't respond and instead I killed him again and he went in to hyper nerdrage and spammed me with RL threats to my life. Was quite lulzy. -

Quote:Hello everyone.
As some of you may have noticed, Virtue and Freedumb have risen quite a bit above the other servers in the number of PvP players. Hopefully you also noticed that these server's PvP zones are normally zone wars and more often than not filled with more than its fair share of noobs. If you are fine playing in these zones, then please just stop reading and go to a different thread, but if you want a challenging PvP experience, then keep going. Justice is by far the best place for an aspiring PvPer or a seasoned professional to test thier stuff out against Justice's mightiest. It's PvP experience is a lot of 1v1, zone wars and Pocket D rallies. Heroside Justice has many great normal SG's as well as a few PvP SGs, Game Over and The Front Lines. Villainside, they also have many SG's, including the famous Vincent Balmont School of Hard Knocks. So if you are into PvP to jump around and shoot some people then get AS'ed and not get any better, go to Virtue or Freedumb. But if you want a PvP experience that will not only be fun, but make you better as well, then come on over to Justice.

YOu should put your "Justice Spirit" to good use and become a PVPEC rep and help promote pvp on your server. Send me a p.m. if that tickles your fancy.
As far as Freedom, just like everyone else I have moved to Freedom as well. I totally plan on continuing to help with Champion pvp and events. Lets be honest though, this move to Freedom is something that is needed. There just isn't enough pvpr's across 11 servers to keep a healthy stream of events and daily competition going. If Freedom currently has a lot of noobs it won't for long. Most everyone I know from the old test ladder has migrated to Freedom as well. If the noobs weren't schooled before, they are soon to have a rude awakening. -

Pretty sure pics of OZ spanking me would probably be a bannable offense. o.0

Was a blast! Had a couple teams running and both teams did it in good time.

I have a few toons that are influence/infamy capped that have things in the market that have sold. If I attempt to collect the money of course I won't get all of it. I don't want to transfer money right now because I am getting ready to spend a bunch of it on builds. So question is how long can I leave items sold (have already sold, not just storage or for sell) sitting in the market window without cashing in for my moolah??
tyvm in advance for your wisdom -

Quote:Listen to this one. He is tru warrior.Don't take my post seriously.
BTW, you bring up a point I've always wanted to elaborate on. A common TEAM tactic is $Target and attack. Am I wrong? Zones mind you.
Where is the strategy in that? Especially after I13. Concept wise, I dare someone to crack open a comic book where there are two large factions and show me this tactic in action.
Not a one. Usually, they match-up. -
This is tomorrow night (friday). Hope to see several teams running again!
-
Ty. I was hoping there would be some tanks standing around to help with aggro control or pulling baddies as needed anyways.
-
:-( sorry no has to be during those times. I have to be on the team. NO way to really know for sure that no temp powers etc were used unless its done that way.

Quote:Every AT has strengths and weaknesses. Eliminating an inspiration of some type would effect each one differently. This competition is set up almost exactly like my AV competition was and surprisingly the team builds that competed in that were everything but what people thought they were going to be. I had more squishys competing than anything. I did have some scrapper and scrapper/tank combos compete. I actually expected to see a lot of blaster/emp or therm or cold combos. NOpe.Might I suggest you amend the rules to say
"Only tier 1 inspirations, no red inspirations."
Because while purples, blues, and greens might well be necessary,
Reds effect different ATs differently.
My main complaint here is for brutes.
Most of their damage comes from their rage, so a +25% doesn't really help them much. 4 small reds only give them +25% dps, and even 8 only adds 67%. Compare to (most) blasters or scrappers whom these would double and triple their dps.
Similar versions of this argument remain true for /dark and /shield scrappers (and tanks), masterminds, and (theoretically) trollers who get most of their damage out of their pets. (Who would likely be the second on a team, not the primary, but still, it could happen)
Now, if that's what you were going for ("bring out your two best scrappers (or scrapper/blaster, or one of the two and a severe debuffer) to see who can down a Rikti Pylon!"), Awesome! But I think that removing reds might open up the field to a bit more competition.
The biggest thing for me is I am against eliminating anything that comes naturally with a character. I don't like to eliminate AT's either because I want everyone to be able to play. Inspirations, powers and enhancments are just part of the game. I think challenges should allow people to use those things. "Extra" crap that everyone doesn't have equal access to should not be allowed. -
Quote:Cat I went ahead and added the next 2 events for the 26th & the 2nd and posted the details for each date for you.
I also added ur pylon event to the calendar as well!
Ok felecia.
:-)
Edited with a smiley because apparently everyone wasn't part of our convo on vent the other day to know I was teasing you about calling me Cat, which I thought you were doing as a joke. Maybe I am the one confused. /shrugs. -
Quote:You could do all of the Pylons, just have the envigilator go with each participant to their pylon.
To account for increased risk you could skip the pylons right by the base of the Mothership as those are the ones that have roaming 54 EBs and spawns by them.
Ok didn't know about the 30 min respawn timer. So yes we will be moving around and will avoid the ones with the 54 EB's indeed.
