So I was playing Ep. 5 with my MM (Mercenaries/Traps) with my brother for the first run. While he was reading the story I decided to lay a few trip mines at Wade's feet... By the time he was done (and I had him stall a lil bit) Wade was insta-"defeated" and we went on to the Rularuu guy. Who was there helping us!? STATESMAN as a lvl 52 Hero! soooo yeah he's not REALLY alive but he was for us, which was weird because our characters are both villains.... I was able to re-create it once more that same day but later that week when I tried to show a friend it didn't work. Luckily I was able to take a few caps! Anyone else run into this glitch?

My brother is having this same exact problem but he's running windows XP. I've run updates on all the drivers but I am still getting the same error messages. Any suggestions?

Hi StarKitten, I have just fixed the problem I had with my brother's PC. Pretty much the same thing that was happening to you. Went through a lot of steps, here is the link if you'd like to check it out. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=236270

Quote:I don't want to jinx anything, BUT... I manually set the memory timings like you suggested and the game didn't lock up! I did several missions and played for almost 30min just now. May not seem like much but the game was locking up within seconds of logging in so It's a pretty big deal! I'll have my bro play tomorrow to be sure, but I think that did it. Thanks for all the help everybody, I'll post a follow up tomorrow. It's bed timeCheck your memory timings in BIOS. Don't trust 'Auto'
If still nothing: you've checked your RAM, your sound, your psu. It's your motherboard. This is my opinion. -
I have noticed that I keep getting BSOD's ever since I upgraded to Windows 7, with XP the only thing that keeps crashing is the game and occasionally Firefox.

I have a Corsair XMS2 CM2X1024-6400 The timings are 5-5-5-18. I checked the voltage also, it is at 1.9

I have been having similar issues with my brothe's PC. Mandu and several others have been trying to help but I have gotten nowhere. I've even upgraded to windows 7, but now instead of the game crashing I randomly get BSOD's of all sorts also. It sounds similar to my problem, If I have any posative results I will let you know. Good Luck!

Sorry, I'm logged into my account instead of my Bro's, but Manos is me. (he is computer duh) I finally got a response from XFX and they basically said that it could be a possability but usually if the DIMM's are bad the PC won't boot. So they requested the info from my BSOD's (I've had 14 of them in the past 3 days, and I'm barely useing his PC)

I have no idea how to do that.... I know where it is but I don't know what to do when I get there. Any help?

Still no luck Lisar? I'm still struggling with Ricks' also. Currently talking to XFX support tho, they want a log of all my BSOD's so I'm gonna use his PC until it..........jk lol. I'm no expert but some of the comments on New Egg (which is where I'm guessing you got it from) but he says he was having problems with his mem, and when he changed it from 1600 MHz to 1333 MHz the system ran fine. Just a thought: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820211409

MNP strikes again! Still having the same problem huh, maybe your MoBo is bad like Rick's. I sent an E-Mail to XFX, waiting for a reply.
