Nope, it's not the binds. And it's not actually a CoX issue, either. By saying it's just sending numbers, what I mean is that the OS is interpretting the numpad numbers to be the exact same as the qwerty keyboard numbers. It's a built-in numpad, but it always was handled correctly under XP and Vista.
To be clear, I'll give an example. Two of my binds are as follows:
1 "powexec_slot 1"
NUMPAD1 "petcom_all Follow Passive"
When I hit the number pad 1 key, the power in slot 1 is triggered.
The OS is sending the number pad keystrokes as non-number pad keystrokes. It's as though the OS doesn't know the difference. Since Natsuki has said they are working fine, however, I don't think the OS can actually be doing that.
Thanks for the input.

I just installed Windows 7 and I love it but I'm noticing a very subtle problem that will only be a problem when playing CoX. When I use the numeric keypad (numpad), it sends the keystrokes as regular numbers. This never happened under XP or Vista. I guess the OS is reading my ZBoard numpad as regular number keys, but it means all my NUMPAD keybinds are lost. I use those for my MMs and defenses so it's a real loss. Has anyone else who has the W7 OS running noticed this? And has anyone who has noticed this found a fix? I'm using the latest ZBoard driver and W7 build 7100. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

I read through maybe a hundred of the posts and then skipped to the end. This thread was started just over two years ago and there's still no BRB??? 38 pages (at 20 posts per page) and STILL no BRB???
Please can we have one?
I'd almost like to see a version of it where anyone who touched it, instead of knocking it away, would get put on Follow by it. Then it could bounce along after them and other people could try to steal it by touching it. The perfect game of tag for CoX!!!
But I also like the OP's most simple suggestion. Rag-doll physics and stick it somewhere with hills. -
In other words: no, there's not. You can figure it out but not from just looking at an icon.
That would be awesome, though. We should have an icon that shows the number of pets contributing to BG. Like most other icons for buffs and debuffs, it would show in your icon/power list and you could set it for display type (numeric, stack or normal). That would be fantastic. Hey, devs! Do us a favor, okay? -

I vote for 'alien' pets, needs to be more aliens, preferably the slimy tentacled kind..

Oh! That's just not right....

I must say at this point I am a bit disappointed.
Missing the mark by 3+ hours without any official word is very unprofessional.

While I'm not quite sure how you got 3 from 13 - 11, I'd have to agree with your point. Niviene and Ex Libris are both on the forums right now, so come on, please chime in on this! What's going ON??? -
Okay, now you've officially cracked me up. Thanks. I needed that.

What? They're two hours long on a five hour down-town and you're just NOW beginning to wonder that? -

i am just imaging the devs trying to fix the problem right now...and posi head is exploding

Would that be happening because he's so desperate or because so many people are focusing their frustration on him? -

Err... It's only the people that have been here since launch for the first three months. After that and every three months thereafter it's for people who have been here for less and less time as of the creation. So you can see that determining what a veteran's reward should be based on the receiver's proximity to launch can not possibly be relevant.

The fact that they're not federally recognized is *why* I trust them. You should do some research on the Fed and the FDIC.
Don't conflate PayPal with fraudulent individuals who pretend to be them.
However, I do agree with you that no one should enter into anything without doing the requisite research. -
A long time ago I played a really short Empathy Defender name Tylwyth Teg that was conceptually one of the Tuatha Da Dannon. Then they put them in the game as enemies so del'd him.
I've since come up with an alternate concept for him and would very much like him back. I would be very happy to give over nearly any of my current names (between two accounts and almost exclusive play on Pinn that amounts to at least 25, I think Edit: okay, that was a bit of an over-estimation.). Later today I'll edit this post to include the list. I'm not at home right now so I can't access them easily.
PS: I have that name on other servers already. If whoever has it here would like to exchange it for the same name on one of the ones where I have it, I'd be very happy to. I'll put that list here tonight as well.
Here are the names I'd be happy to give over:
Tiny Kitty
Tiny Kitten
White Lie
Long MeiLi (which means Beautiful Dragon in Mandarin)
Hoar Fox
Blood Rare
Tysa Craft
Lyssa Phobos
Jessie Spark
Half Past Midnight
K'airth Vsa
Minor Key
Here are some names I'd be willing to give up for something good in return:
Flare Fly
Sister Coyote
Laen Shard
Kit Dempsey
Li'l Bit
Angelica Maiden
Judith Christ
Light Kin
Servers where I already have Tylwyth Teg:
Champion
Infinity
Justice
Liberty
Protector

Generally I'm not all for new villain zones because of the fear of the kind of urban sprawl that's affected PC. This one, however, is just too damn good to pass up.
Hey, have you thought about this as a red-side hazard zone? -
In reference to the need for arbiters and such, I wasn't really talking about trainers and stores and all. I meant story contacts. Taking orders from a wimp like that whiney schmoe on Cap or the arrogant damn guy with the big Bone makes me feel like my toon should be ending the arc by ganking the contact.
-
First I gotta say: Wow. For a stream-of-consciousness writing that's one hell of a venture.
Second comes the compliment: I WANT! I love villains but hate the contacts and story arcs because if I'm a villain who thinks s/he's the Destined One, I'm sure as hell not going to be cow-towing to any putz in a suit who says jump.
Third comes the question: One of the SFs you've listed involves planting some of those mind-altering items on the persons of targeted enemies. How would you do that without being mind-altered yourself by having them in your possession while transporting them? That seems a bit thin (and since I had to stretch that far to find something that seems thin, I'd say this whole idea is pretty rock-solid).
Lastly comes the suggestion: One of the posters asked about why people would come to this isla, knowing how dangerous it was and that they really couldn't get anything out of it. Spread around some (false?) rumors that there are ways to break that curse on specific items found and you've got treasure to be had. Put one of those cursed items in the hands of one of the Villains and tell them it's only a matter of time before it takes them over if they don't get it back to the island and you've got a major motivation to go there. Those are in game reasons. For reasons why the players would want to go there: DUH! It sounds like it could reasonably be the best zone in the whole of the Rogue Islands.
I'm very impressed. -
Anything that causes more zombie apocalypse events is a good thing, in my opinion. That's just too much fun to be legal. I had a lvl 46 'troller go through almost half a level in one event. Nummy treats...

Might I enquire as to whom you are that your view of "how to play" is paramount? Unless I am much mistaken, CoH is an MMORPG. Unless I am much mistaken, the RP in that stands for Role Playing. There are those of us who have decided to play this game because of the opportunity to portray a super hero, as opposed to so we can do math and play a FPS in third person. This isn't a standard fight game. It's designed around the ability to Role Play. That's what the bios are for. That's why the character design is such a large part of the game and is, to the best of my knowledge, the most advance character design system available today. So please do not presume to tell others what is or is not an acceptable style of play. Your thoughts on the subject are no more or less valid than any other's. One who plays to play instead of to "win" is not one who "does not know how to play", they merely have a different reason for playing than you must.
That being said, I admit that I think ED is a bad thing.
Sincerely,
Christopher
