  1. Happy Birthday you Electric Lug
  2. Thanks - been trying to get a piece done by Cyrza for a while. Was finally able to do so. She's working on Comrade Hero as well
  3. Just had a few pieces done lately. An old piece recolored, some pieces for charity and one I've been waiting on for a while

A relatively old pencil piece with color breezed into it:
Rack Colored by Deberzer, Pencils by SuperUndiesMan

One of two commissions from Cyrza:
    Graviton Girl by Cyrza

Sean Huck did some really nice inking of some old Comrade Hero pencil works by McCreator. Took a few months, but well worth it
    Comrade Hero 1 Inks
    Comrade Hero 2 Inks
    Comrade Hero 3 Inks

Paneseeker from deviantArt is doing color sketches for charity. Interesting, simplistic take on my characters.

It's all good. Perhaps Comrade Hero could be on the cover? Da?

Anyway, Comrade Hero is honored to have been considered.

  7. [ QUOTE ]

Guh.... Hmm Maggie would be a bit disadvantaged. Each Maggie that has taken up the Magdalena mantle is just an ordinary woman, usually with an extraordinary faiths, but nevertheless just regular women, they're given training by the church, but they aren't of the batman trained/skilled variety. Most of them have been nuns, others have taken up the mantle before they went that far. At the very least they've all been believers, to the point where they've made decisions based on what they believed of God and turned against the church, when it sought to do something she saw wasn't what God would have wanted.

Not sure Maggie would intentionally want to harm Casca, unless she deemed him a threat to someone's life.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Religion isn't something Casca is particularly fond as most his torturing and other unpleasant stuff has happened because the religious zealots of the Brotherhood of the Lamb caught up with him at various times over the centuries.

Casca's also somewhat amoral. He's fought against and with the enemies of Ancient Rome, battled across Asia and the New World, become one of the acolytes of the Old Man of the Mountain (the original Assassins), fought for the South in the Civil War, the British in World War I, the Germans in World War II, and the American's in Vietnam.

That said, Casca needs human company - in the very least someone to listen to his tales of the ages. Everyone around Casca dies, but he remains the same.

And every time Casca has finally thought he would die, Christ puts in a spooky voice appearance and tells him his time has not yet come. A bit of pain when you're burning on a pyre, having your heart cut out, or being weighted down and thrown overboard into the ocean.

Comrade Hero for the revolutionary month of October!
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Whoa.... that'd be an interesting story of Casca crossing paths with one of the Magdalenas. She carries with her the Spear of Destiny, the Spear of Longinius....

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Soldier, you are content with what you are. Then that you shall remain until we meet again. As I go now to my Father, you must one day come to me" - Jesus Christ to Casca in Casca: The Eternal Mercenary

That would be an interesting confrontation to say the least.

Consider Casca a combination of a long lived (2000 years) Highlander-type Immortal with the temperament of Snake Plisken (from Escape from New York).

Cut out his heart, burn him at the stake, cut off his head or blow him to bloody pieces, the Curse that keeps Casca alive and ageless also makes him impossible to kill (Christ won't allow it). He can be imprisoned though and has been buried alive on a few occassions.

The blood of Christ that runs through Casca's veins is a blessing and a curse. It keeps him alive and ageless, but will kill anyone else stupid enough to drink it or try a blood transfusion (and they die very horribly indeed).

Unarmed or with a weapon in his hands, Casca is very deadly. From his ancient Gladius to a Medieval Crossbow to a modern Assault Rifle, Cacca is a master of War.

Casca also has a phenomenal (almost preternatural) memory. He remembers everyone he has encountered over his long existence, and can recall facts, figures and details of events and memories long since passed with ease.

Casca's sworn enemies are the Brotherhood of the Lamb who have plagued him throughout the centuries, seeking to follow him all the way to the Second Coming of Christ and then punish him with the very spear Casca used to wound Christ (Although the Spear of Destiny itself cannot kill Casca as only Christ will decide when Casca can die).
  10. Well I'm waiting to use Casca Longinius from the Barry Sadler series of novels when Issue 12 comes out. The novels were loosely based on the stories of Saint Longinus and the Wandering Jew.

In the books Casca Longinius is the soldier who pierces the side of Christ as he suffers on the Cross. Cursed to walk the Earth until Christ returns, Casca becomes the Eternal Soldier.
  11. That's what I love about this forum! The artists here make me feel all tingly inside when they do great things like this
  12. Such a great commission - Really well done!

And yes whoever is in that box is in a world of hurt!

    Spaisba!
  14. [ QUOTE ]
wow he's amazing. Beautiful work and I love the pose!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks a lot. Comrade Hero is a little younger in this piece (as I wanted to re-imagine him as a teenager version) but I love how this has turned out - both the original penciling and colored piece.
  15. Last year kiwi artist SuperUndiesMan did some really nice blue colored pencil pieces of Comrade Hero, Graviton Girl, and Rack.

I finally got around to having them colored by Deberzer on deviantArt.

The first one to be turned out is that lovable lug, Comrade Hero:

  17. Ah, now where's that image of Gamma Girl wrestling with Swan in a pool of Nutripaste?
  18. [ QUOTE ]
    Very well done!

I wonder though, what are Comrade Hero's politics?

    Sexiest CoX Art?

Just to keep it "safe" I added a big red warning. But you're right, the only way you're going to see "Mature" content on deviantArt is if remove the NSFW-filters as Foo has stated.

    Anyway, happy viewing all

    Sexiest CoX Art?

Continuing the Frosty theme... Totally Topless Naked Heroine bathing in Freezing Winter Waters! You have been warned.

How's this for a brisk morning bathing session? (and being currently worked towards color by Dietrich-March)

    Albtraum II by Russell Platt

and this remains one of the most beautiful pieces I received from an artist, the lovely Alecia Rodriguez:

    Graviton Girl
  22. The Unisystem developed by Eden is very nice and adaptable, I had a blast playing Buffy, Angel and Firefly.

I loved Vampire the Masquerade but got turned off by Vampire the Redemption and I still have the old classic TMNT and other Strangness RPG books.

I haven't played a good PnP RPG for a long time though.

    Sigh.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
same for me on Marvel Super Heroes. It was one of the first and last tabletop RPGs I played. Never really got into them. I'd have to look at the Marvel sheets again to get an idea of how to make one for any of my characters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Best resource: Classic Marvel Super Heroes
  24. I really, really like that. The Eden System is great, and I played Angel and Buffy using the system and Corebooks designed for the RPG conversions.

I also loved the old Classic Marvel Superhero RPG by TSR that came out in the 1980's.

Here's Comrade Hero Classic Marvel RPG.
