Quote:Sorry, Sep, I think, once again, my sarcasm has gotten me in trouble. For some reason, my sense of humor does not translate well into forum form.Actually, I'm going to skip the sarcasm and get straight to the point.
I rarely, if ever, use the forum boards. It seems that they are more for devs than for us day-to-day gamers. I have found one or two things that were helpful in the Player Help section, but other than that, I rarely check any other boards. I have learned so much more from just asking people on BMT or by looking it up on paragonwiki.com than I ever have reading the boards. That's because there is just soooo many threads.
Recently, I was asked to put something on the Champion server board. In doing so, I came across your post, and, frankly, found it to have some very interesting and useful information.
At this point I had three thoughts running through my mind at the same time:
1. That this was not the thread I was looking for,
2. That if I had not found this thread, I might have already found the thread I was looking for, and
3. I would not have found this thread if I had been looking for it, because I would not have looked where it was posted.
That was when I posted the question above.
Quote:I personally do not use the other forums unless it is Dev/Beta Specific.
Unfortunately, I am just a player, with real-world issues that prevent me from doing so, and, well, quite frankly, I don't get paid to do it. I am pretty sure someone does, but it's not me.
Quote:I made this FOR the Champion Community, if others wish to use it as well, they have access to freely.
Quote:If I do recall correctly, weren't you the one complaining about people 'spending too much time on the forums'?
Quote:Why put it somewhere where it can get lost and unused when I can put it here for my Community?
That's my thought.
Once again, I mean no offense. I was just curious, and I posted before sleeping on it (like I'm doing now! I just don't learn, do I :-D) in the first place I could think of that would be kind of appropriate. -

Quote:Thanks a lot, I appreciate that. Now I can contact the BMT of Champions "host" and ask her to include it in the MotD. I apologize, again, if I have offended. My sense of humor seems to get lost in the translation when I post on these boards. Thank you again.Host.
And now that I know you're goin' to be hostin' the Event, in this case leadin' the Dr. Quaterfield TF, I'll add it to the Events Calendar and Champion Facebook. -
[QUOTE=Cobalt Azurean;3831203][QUOTE=ColonelKomphort;3831192]Quote:Well, according to the MotD, which is where I am trying to get my message put up, all times are Eastern. But, to clarify for those who are confused, yes, August 31, 2011, 9:00 p.m. EASTERN. On Champion Server.
-
Quote:I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "hosting" an event. Am I willing to lead a team, yes. Am I wllling to answer questions about where to meet, etc, yes. What else is involved in "hosting" an event? Am I soliciting for people to join? Absolutely. But so are Mothership raids and PvP events. Im just not going to sit in the Shadow Shard waiting for more people to show up. By scheduling it and publishing it on the MotD, I am hoping to get some interest from badgehunters, etc, who will plan on it, and meet at the specified time.Scheduled for October. See @Witty Librarian for details.
Additionally, the Event Calendar isn't for solicitations, but rather to advertise an Event you are goin' to host. If you are goin' to host a Dr. Quaterfield on Wednesday, August 31st at 9pm, then I will add it to the Events Calendar and Champion's Facebook page. -
[QUOTE=CyberTaz;3829650][QUOTE=ColonelKomphort;3829607] Dr. Q for me for Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 9pm.
Quote:Aren't all times Eastern?
Eastern? -
I would like to get a Dr. Q badge run going. Since, according to everyone I ask, it is an "extremely long" TF, I would like to schedule it on BMT of Champions MotD. I talked to one of the mods, who was updating the MotD, and she said she was only copying what was in the calendar. She suggested I put something on the forum boards. But, as I was reading all the forum boards, all 57 pages of threads, with their average 50 threads per page, with their average 40 responses per thread, I suddenly realized, that, hey, I'm not a dev, why the heck am I reading all this s-- stuff. So, to boil it down, 1) sorry, devs, but real, actual players don't read the forum boards, 2) I wouldn't be posting this if there was any other way, and 3) could somebody schedule a Dr. Q for me for Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 9pm.
BTW, if you are a real, actual player, and you have read all the forum boards, I apologize if I have offended. But, please, get a life! And if you are a dev, I now understand why you can't get any of the good stuff into the game; you're spending all your time reading the forum boards! -
How is this Champion-server-specific?

Thanks for explaining NOTHING about what a Manic Monday is.

Would it be better to autopower Healing Aura, or Clear Mind.
Now, personally, I prefer HA, because it affects everyone. CM only affects 1 person. And personally, I'd rather be healed and held, than not healed and not held.
My current style of play is to autopower HA, and use CM as I can. I also autofollow the tank.
So the other day, I was playing my healer, and I asked a simple question of my teammates: Would it be better to autopower Healing Aura, or Clear Mind. Boy, the responses I got!
"Why don't you push buttons instead?"
I do, but if I have an autopower, why not use it. You use yours, don't you?
"I would rather you didn't rely on autopower."
I'm not relying on it; I have five different healing powers, I do not rely on any one of them.
"Nobody's gonna be near enough to you"
I also have Heal Other, with a range enhancement.
"Why do you have Aim, you only have one Ranged attack?"
What difference does that make? Good for you, you were able to view my ID info. It's still my character to build. Neither power, of which was in the origbinal question.
"Why not autopower Hasten"
Recharge is too long.
"Are you Prixy? Same SG, same manner of playing."
I have been playing this game for 6 years, and I can assure you that my method of playing was developed independantly from Prixy's or any other players.
"See, he's on autofollow, just like Prixy!"
I'm right here, just fpllowing the tank, who the star said to follow.
"You'll die if you do that"
Maybe, but I got HA on autopower, and, well, dying is a part of the game. Let me worry about that.
And so forth, but no one ever answered the question. Finally, I was told, "We can continue laughing at you, or we can solve the problem," and I was kicked off the team.
So, can somebody tell me what is the thing that I am doing wrong, get it out here, now, and let me know, Which is better? Autopowering HA, or autopowering CM. -
Okay, I can confirm what was written from the Hero side. What I think i did, was, did mener ramiel, but before completing it, I went to villian, then I went to run a WSF, and I couldnt because I wasnt alpha slotted. but when I went to Ramiel to get slotted, he wouldnt give me a mission. so, what I suspect happened is somehow, when they do a mission wipe as you change your alignment, something isnt getting wiped.
However, there is now no way I can run the next WSF with this character as a villian, as it will take me at least 8 days to get to that point.
I cant run any of the WSFs as a villian until I:
a. do 5 villian to rogue missions
b. do 5 villian to rogue missions
c. do alignment mission
d. do 5 rogue to hero missions
e. do 5 rogue to hero missions
f. do alignment mission.
g. complete mender ramiel's mission on hero's side
h. do 5 hero to vigilante missions
i. do 5 hero to vigilante missions
j. do alignment mish
k. do 5 vigilante to villan missions
l. do 5 vigilante to villian missions
m. do alignment mish
or,
when you change alignments, all missions are reset.
do mender ramiels arc
WAIT, that's how the UI is SUPPOSED to work!
My apologies, I was being flippant, and humor doesnt translate well in forums
.
Note: I cannot guarantee that I have the Going Rogue expansion, because it doesnt list it under the account updates. However, I can create Praetorians, so I am going to assume that I do. If I dont have Going Rogue, then I would think that it would not work for other toons as well. Not the case. I have two toons that have slotted their alphas with no problem. if they can, then whats special about this toon? Only that this toon has switched alignments. -
I have a weird display configuration. To recreate:
1. Disconnect the inspiration window from the toolbar.
2. Add a new tool bar.
3. Adjust the new tool bar's position so that it is on top of the existing tool bars.
4. Relocate the inspiration window so that the bottom of the window sits on top of the added tool bar.
When I zone, I see:
Everything remains the same, with the exception of the inspiration window. It has now moved down behind the newly added tool bar, the bottoms of both windows (the insp window and the newly added tool bar window) aligned.
Weird, huh. You want weirder?
Recreation:
1. Disconnect the inspiration window from the toolbar.
2. Add a new tool bar.
3. Adjust the new tool bar's position so that it is on top of the existing tool bars.
2. Add ANOTHER new tool bar.
3. Adjust the new tool bar's position so that it is on top of the existing tool bars.
4. Relocate the inspiration window so that the bottom of the window sits on top of the latest added tool bar.
When I zone, I see:
Everything remains the same, with the exception of the inspiration window. It has now moved down behind the most recently added tool bar, the bottoms of both windows (the insp window and the most recently added tool bar window) aligned. BUT IT DOES NOT GO BEHIND THE FIRST ADDED TOOL BAR! -
Okay, I respeced my healer. In so doing, I slotted Healing Aura (Empathy Power, Heal Only) with THREE Doctored Wounds, holding back the fourth in my tray. When I finished respecing, I looked at Healing Aura, and the Detailed Info says, "219.00 (133.86) heal on target". When I slot the fourth Doctored Wounds, the Detailed Info says, "219.00 (133.86) heal on target.
Is this a known problem? Or do I get the badge? -
Quote:I have a Healer. I slotted four DWs into Resuscitate (A Medicine Pool Power). My Healing Aura was not affected. All Healing Powers except any of them?Correct. Reconstruction gives resistance to toxic (and would not get the bonus) and Dull Pain does not give +resistance. The rest of the powers are +regen powers, rather than healing powers.
These bonuses are great for the Empathy set, which has 3 straight heal powers. -
thank you for the detailed answer. I think I now understand. I'm not getting the badge.

I have a newbie question on my MM B/T, but it's not about the build. It's about how hit points and REC works. The Triage Beacon, as I understand it, gives you +REC. I can look at the power's stats, and they say, at this time, that Triage Beacon adds 1.58 to my REC.
The way I understand this works, is that you take my current REC, multiply it by 1.58, and that is how much my HP goes up, each cycle (not sure if it is per sec or per what, it doesn't matter). Let's use some real, made-up numbers. If I have 100 maxHP, and a REC of 1, my HP would normally go up 1 per sec, until I reached 100. If my HP is currently at 20, it would take 80 secs. If someone were to Heal me, this would just add HP to my current HP. If someone were to Enhance Recovery on me, I would not suddenly experience a jump in my HP, but I would recognize that my current HP is going up faster. The same thing occurs if I rest: my HP goes up faster, according to the green bar at the top, as well as the popup when I mouse over it.
(Sorry if this is getting long-winded, I just want you to understand my question)
So, if I use Triage Beacon, the way I expect this to work, is like an Enhance Recovery AoE effect. In other words, the way I would expect this to work, in the example above, is that my REC would be multiplied by 1.58 (my current Triage level), so that I would start at 20, and then every sec, would go to 21.58, 23.16, etc. My REC goes up so I don't get healed, but I heal intrinsically slightly faster.
Having said all this, here is my problem: Does TB work on bots? I notice that my bots go up in HP by 5.00, usually, without a TB. But WITH a beacon, I notice that there doesn't seem to be any difference. The robots just don't heal any differently that without it, as far as I can see.
Granted, I see lovely green circles going up the bot's body, but I don't see a difference in recovery. I'm not sure where I'd look to find the actual number of the bot's REC, and maybe I am confused about how REC and HP interact, but most of all, I hope it is a bug, and I can get that badge!
Please, be as thorough answering this question as I was asking it, because I really want to understand all about what is being asked here.
Help me out please.
