    Psionic melee

Drain Psyche is too much of a survival buff as opposed to an offensive buff, even compared to things like Parry. If there'd be a Psionic Aura armor set, then maybe there. But not in a melee damage powerset. Especially not when you can pair it with Willpower.
  2. Coincidentally it seems not too difficult to scramble together a Darkness Manipulation secondary to go with it, what with the ample amount of Dark powers of varying types and purposes in the game.
  3. Announcing the anchor in a PUG is like saying "KILL THIS ENEMY".
  4. Hilariously enough Widows suck horribly before 24. I specced into Fortunata at 24, which was 'meh, okay' for a while. Got a little bored with it by the 30s. Remembering fully well the horrible gimplet that she was as a Blood Widow, I gritted my teeth and made a second build as a Night Widow.

    And...

Holy hell. Honestly, my logical senses fail at this. Sure, Mind Link helps a bunch, but it's not always on. Crits are handy but few and far between, only happening from a Hidden status. The Night Widow only gets a few extra attacks from her primary.
Yet somehow she started doing INSANE single target damage and having pretty sweet survivability against even-conning mobs. Of course, since I'm usually fighting purples, this means it could be better, but it gets the job done. I have a gaping gap in my attack chain due to the still-bad recharge times on Widow attacks, but I'll either get Hasten or tweak my slotting at higher levels, which should fix it. She's still very endurance-hungry (it's the attacks, not the toggles), but oh man does she rip things apart.
And I have no idea how. It's just a widow with a few extra tricks, no?

Of course, my Crab Spider was fun from level 1 to 50. 1 to 23 it's a Blaster with slightly less damage but tons more utility and survivability. 24 and up it's a walking tank of a destruction machine that keeps getting more and more uber-fun tricks as he gains levels. 6 pets, a taunting soft nuke/control temporary pet, loads of AoE... I love my Crab so much.
Tried Bane for build 2, felt disappointed.

    Raptor agents

This has never happened to me, nor have I ever seen or heard of Wyvern Raptor Agents. Bizarre.

I'm on the arc on an alt of mine, I'll have to see this for myself...
  6. AFAIK, Taunt is a debuff that multiplies the agro you cause towards the afflicted mobs depending on its magnitude (inconsistent display of attributes in-game: Every 100% of Taunt is 1 point of magnitude). What the actual formula is, I can't remember, but I think it's on the wiki somewhere.

I'm not a hundred per cent sure on this, of course.

A Tanker that attacks and uses Taunt and a taunt aura can easily keep agro.

A Tanker that can -easily- keep agro while neglecting one or two of the above methods is probably on a low-damage team.

An underestimated aspect of agro management is the fact that the first player that the mob in question notices gains a set amount of starting agro versus the mob, thus it is wise to let the tank do the pulling.

As far as I know the only inherent to have been changed is Defiance because that was a bit poo really.

    [/ QUOTE ]And Vigilance isn't?
    [ QUOTE ]
But (and I'm very happy to be corrected here) the other inherents are "as is" - the same from day one.

[/ QUOTE ]And I'm very happy to correct you here: Assassination (PvE).
  8. Ironically Dark Armor works much better on Hero archetypes than Villain archetypes. Go figure.

Actually White Dwarf Flare has no such effect.

[/ QUOTE ] Circled it for you. (Clicky)
  10. Maybe a little less on-off, have it scale down as people lose HP.

    Big Boots

One thing that bothers me like crazy is that they're see-through between the joint that connects the foot to the rest of the boot.
  12. In all likeliness GMs will be converted into Monsters for use in these missions.

Given that PBs are so shiney, they could have a -ToHit PbAoE effect added to Shining Shield and Dwarf Form. Just a small secondary effect, say 3-5%.
That would give them a bit of thematically appropriate survivability that would fit with the "better at tanking" concept.

[/ QUOTE ]Oh come on. PBs already have a Gauntlet effect in White Dwarf Flare when WSs don't have one in Black Dwarf Mire. Giving PBs a freaking taunt aura on top of this is a bit much. I wanna keep agro too, you know.
Give Black Dwarf access to Orbiting Death if you're doing this. <_<
  14. Well, this is of course subjective, but I find a solo Kheldian is out of his optimal environment.
  15. Negligence - sorry, Vigilance, is the crappiest inherent in the game at the moment. It's useless solo, and in teams it promotes playing badly, like old Defiance did. It needs a revamp. Something that'll benefit all primaries equally, and not promote bad gameplay. Currently, it heavily favors healzors.
  16. Short duration? It's equal to the recharge (60 seconds). It's perma, unenhanced. And you can't have more than one out at the same time anyway. Why does the recharge matter at all, in this case?
  17. To clarify, -radial- knockback (Any PBAoE, such as Hand Clap or Solar Flare in this example) is terribly bad. It's terribad.

Knockback that knocks everything more-or-less in the same direction (Gale) can be used well, though. By people who know -how- to use it well. Which the majority of PUG players, from my personal experience, do not.

Solar Flare is not PUG friendly. It looks cool so a lot of fresh new PBs take it, and then they run into the middle of the tightly packed spawn and use it, ruining other peoples' AoEs.
  18. Why do all costume quirks and bugs mostly seem to affect females?
  19. [ QUOTE ]
    Is there any news?

[/ QUOTE ]Yes, in the Test Server section. It's fixed.
  20. Off topic: How about the One Thousand Cuts animation. Teehee.

On topic: Oh, I also can't play Dominators long because I'm horribly underwhelmed with Control primaries. All the AoE controls have horrible durations and recharges.

  23. I just hope this doesn't get people thinking that if you whine loud enough, the Devs will do anything they want.

That's what the WoW Devs do.

A nice animation for eviscerate (IMO) would be to stab both claws in the gut the slash out to both sides, sort of like ripping their gut open.

    [/ QUOTE ]Sweeping Strike.
  25. When Brutes do get Claws, can we have a more Brutish animation for Eviscerate? Please?
Examples: Shadow Maul animation (as used by Mynx), Barb Strike animation (as used by Paragon Protectors and some Tsoo), Sweeping Strike animation.
