You were probably correct in that observation.

Arrogant, yeah, but not necessarily the word I'd use in this case. I'd also say unbelievabe, but it really isn't.

Is it really that hard to take some constructive criticism and leave it at that?
No, it's not hard. We simply have different views on things, and go about things in our own way. He might not've agreed with how I handled the situation, but it's how I handled it because that's my personality type. That bein' said, it wasn't constructive criticism to me, thus my comment that I could only speak for myself. Additionally, when I said it, I was willin' to accept the possible repurcussions, as with any other decision that I make.

You may not think that what you're saying is offensive, or rude, or whatever, but to those who don't know how you operate (which in this case is what happened), you sure do come across as all those things. And for folks that are front and center as "community leaders" of Champion, that's not a good impression to make on folks that are new to the server.

Leaders don't have to be pricks to get their jobs done. Followers don't have to be pricks when they don't get their way.

This observation comes from someone who hasn't led big raids, but has been a part of enough of them to know what's going on during them, and has witnessed poor behaviour in the chat channels from both sides.
I can only speak for myself, but I'll pass.

And yes, the irony is overwhelmin' and isn't lost on me.

Because someone chose to bring a toon that didn't match up with stereotypical builds should not prevent them from being able to join a team and participate in the raid. Yes, I stuck up for the player, after asking him some questions through tells. I'm just shocked that no one else did.

The player did find a team. The majority of players were great. The raid was successful. I just expected a whole lot more from players on a server like Champion. This isn't the Freedom server.
He's talkin' 'bout me, for what it's worth. This really shouldn't come as a surprise. However, it should be noted that 'ignorant' isn't exactly correct. And by that, I mean he wanted to join a Tank team. He didn't have Taunt. Per our strategy, that's not adviseable and counter-productive. As joinin' the scrapper team would've done the exact same damage by basically wipin'em out. I explained this, as Naloc said, on team.

Ignorant? No. I know our strategy. Arrogant? Yeah, I've been called worse.

Edit: I'd also like to say that I'm not a Raid Leader. I'm just the targetter on occasion. Nor am I the 'oh master of hami', as it was said last night.

True story. But my submission was five seconds too long. My own fault, I knew the rules. I just wanted to say what I wanted to say.

    Oh well.

So, to slake your inquisitive thirst, here's what I said:

"Hey Champion, this is Cobalt Azurean, and I'd just like to... waitaminute, is there a badge for this soundbyte? ANYWAYS, I'd just like to say Champion Server... or G.T.F.O. Deuces."

    Bump.
  7. Odmn.

And by that, I mean BMT MotD'd.
  8. I'd rather they didn't, as I wouldn't want'em to fall into the same routine as WoW. Level fifty is fine just where it is.
  9. 'Bout forty minutes. Nicely done, all.

I think that's what he means.

  16. I'll eventually level a villain up that high to be able to help out. Good luck with the Redside Hami Raid, Llew and co.

Two pistol totin' vigilantes are comic books' bread and butter. Also popularized in numerous movies and books.
