Just wanted to stop by and say 'thanks' for getting that old bug with the Mu Mystic helm fixed. My corr looks like his menacing old self now that it no longer is all bright, glowie, and cheery looking.

Sounds to me like they are trying to decide on the best way to respond to Cryptic's announcement. Since Cryptic claims to be putting in many things people here have been begging for since launch they may decide that a major overhaul on the engine to allow those same things in CoH/CoV rather than just adding the basic content issues to an older product might be a prudent move to make for long term customer rentention. With an actual competitor looming on the horizon they have some big decisions to make.

Interesting. I wonder if they plan to do things like charge 10 bucks for tiny little costume packs. If not, then it might be worth checking out when it's ready.

I'd like to see alternative ways of unlocking base items that currently force you to grind for badges and/or pvp to earn them. Not all of us care for one or either of those playstyles and shouldn't be forced into doing things that we don't consider fun just to get needed base upgrade items.

Make more items stackable. I would have liked to use the floor tile in my med room but can't put anything on it. Other things like bookshelves, or anything with a flat top surface should be able to have something small enough to fit the surface stacked on it.

I would also like to see wall mounted monitors and a wider variety of rotating images available to be shown on monitors, maybe have a different image loop play for each room type.

Pretty sure it's just a wipe and not a debt free day. I haven't seen anything to suggest anything more than that.

I had hoped the devs had enough respect for peoples' privacy that they would provide a way for those not wanting to be a part of this to opt out of it. From what I've read about this 'feature' it seems I was wrong. While we can block four catagories of information our characters, complete with pictures, will still appear on the site. I shouldn't be surprised considering thier pattern of trying to force people to use other game features many don't consider to be fun.

There are pics of the web page in the Meet and Greet thread, on page 144 if I remember right. You can see in the pics some of what info will be available, like how many hours you've played that character, how much time you've spent in each zones, influence earned, how much time you've spent online, and whatnot.

I also realized while looking at them that the web page will be loaded with tons of level 1 SG padding characters because of the padding going on in preperation for the prestige bonus. So there should be plenty of pages for the nosey types to snoop through.

And for future alts, its been stated in the MOTD that web stats will only be available for characters over level 10 so you'll have 9 whole levels worth of time to click "Options / Enable Hide".

I don't want my characters listed on some website at all. Just blocking a few stats isn't good enough, all I ask for is a way to not be forced into something I want no part of. There's too much of that in the game already.

Enabling the "Hide Statistics from Web Page" will do exactly that. The character will not have any information displayed.

It's not just character stats that some don't want displayed. What I'd like is a way to not have anything at all about my characters displayed, no names, pics, nothing. Hopefully that is what you mean by 'not have any information displayed.' I don't want to start getting tells from people bugging me about dropping lower level/less played characters because they want the name for themselves.

The purpose of this announcement is to let people know that we will be doing something and, if they don't envision they want to be involved, can configure their in-game options as needed to limit their character's information availability.

Maybe you can ask them for access to official art and photos for research, or at least a site where official movie images may be stored you can look through.

The only thing I want to know is NCSoft's stand on in game ads. We've been told before that there were no current plans to put ads in CoH/CoV. Is this stilll true? One company or the other had to be considering it or it would never had been brought up in the first place.
