Quote:Hi, Makis.A good idea. Shift the radio/paper and detectives under the repeatable tab too of course.
Nice idea, but I'm not sure I'd figure to include detectives in that "Repeatable Content" arc, since they only give missions/content within a certain lvl range. If one exceeds the max range for that Detective, they don't get anything from that contact anymore. -

Rad Armor sounds even better now! -
Ummm, TheDeepBlue.... It's a radiation-based powerset, so it stands to reason that they would use radiation-themed/related names for the powers.

Quote:Hi, Chad Gulzow-Man. I've had some issues as well; same with my husband. I can't be 100% sure of his video but I am fairly sure that mine's ATI... I use the Catalyst package, and have stayed with the lower 11.5, if I remember rightly, because it hasn't given me problems. My computer is quite new, quite high-end (can't remember specifics right now), and when I did the update that was prompted to me by Windows to upgrade to 11.7, that's when I had most of the issues. I was able to revert back down. My question is this... Is the 11.9 the Catalyst package? And, how reliable is it compared to the earlier versions? What model is your video card? I'm guessing it's an ATI card, because up until the absolutely latest driver release, everyone else with an ATI card was experiencing the same issues.
Here's a link to the latest driver: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/11-9_vis...dd_ccc_ocl.exe
Before installing it, please make sure you completely uninstall your existing video driver, then run Driver Sweeper (or equivalent driver removing software) in Safe Mode to ensure you've got all the old files and registry settings deleted.
You're not having an issue with the game itself; it's a problem with the way ATI had been handling OpenGL graphics all summer. If you're going to get pissy with someone, then do it with the people who screwed up the damn drivers. -
STF, hmmm? Never done one before. Is there somewhere in this forum that gives tips on how to get through an STF well? What kind of team is best put togther for an STF? Any help/advise/etc would be appreciated either here or in my mail here in the forums. Thanks.

True, but that's really then not much different than the University tutorial on IOs and enhancements. In THAT arc tutorial, there's ONE fight... Oooooooo. I'm sorry, but most of that particular arc tutorial was also running around and talking to peeps and clicking things. One tiny little mission that had something like 5 enemies total. Wasn't much of an "attack mission".

Hi. Something that's kind of been brewing and stewing in my mind for a while and something I'd like to know the answer to is:
Why has the lvl 5 AE Tutorial by the Architect Manager to "Take a Tour" never had a mission bonus reward, reward merits, or anything that is typically associated with completing the game's missions and mission arcs?
It's great that we have that "Take a Tour", but... If it's to be treated like a mission arc by this manager, wouldn't it make sense to give typical arc rewards and such?
Thank you.

Double XP Weekend and Server Hardware Improvements
We have another Double XP Weekend coming! Currently we are targeting February for this event. It will be the same format as we have run previously: a weekend long fest of double rewards of experience gain, influence or infamy, and prestige! Double XP is always popular and usually drives our online numbers to record heights.
To better address performance issues that tend to arise under such conditions, we are investing in server hardware upgrades. Technology is always marching forward and we are making this investment back into the game to take advantage of the latest tech and help create the best gaming experience possible for our players.
Our plans are to have all of the new hardware online before the coming Double XP Weekend. We will post more details of the server upgrade schedule, along with the dates of the actual Double XP weekend soon, so keep your eye on the City of Heroes website!

And I say... WOOHOOOooooo! Double XP Weekend! I'll be waiting in great anticipation for that time, Lighthouse and Devs!! Kudoes, fellas and keep it up! Good luck as well with getting the necessary upgrades done for this.

Real Numbers
As a general quality of life improvement we will be adding new functionality in a coming version of the game to display the real numbers behind your characters and their powers. This includes a user configurable display of important characteristics such as movement rate, regeneration rate, resistances and many more! Additionally, you will be able to see how those statistics are affected in real time by buffs and/or debuffs affecting your character.

Hmmmmm. How will we be able to view these realtime stats? All in all, I'm for it greatly. Just curious as to how we'll be able to take advantage of this new function.

Issue #12
While were not announcing the specifics of what will be included in the next free expansion, Issue #12, we do want to reiterate that we will continue to add great new free additions to the game in 2008. The team is working hard to ensure our next free expansion will be an exciting, feature-filled addition to the game.

WHOOOTT!!! Thankyouthankyou!! Again, something I'll be interested to find out about when Issue 12 comes, whenever that is.
I'd like to offer a suggestion as far as what to work on. You guys have done a fantastic job with the new additions in Issue 11, focusing alot of new stuff on tankers and scrappers. I'd love to see what you bunch of delightful brain busters can do for the blasters, corruptors, and defenders next time around.
Will be looking forward to all the new stuff coming down the pike!
Take care, Lighthouse and devs, and keep up the great work!
