Quote:Okay, just as a thought then, you may want to designate someone to contact that way if no one is online someone would know who to send an offline tell to, but just a suggestion.
As for the immediate reason I was wondering, you'll get a tell from me in a few minutes.Very Cool. Thanks, Stray.

Quote:Youre correct, it shouldnt have been necessary.. given the fact that once upon a time in rl (before cupcakes) I was a bean counter.Honestly, as a matter of principle I don't think it should even have been necessary to ask.
Indeed, lets hope things are more straightforward in future. -
Quote:as of now, there is no primary contact person, and to be honest i dont think there will be any 1 person.Moving forward, is there a specific person who will be the contact for this group? Or is it just whoever you can catch in game to pester?
Out of us though, id say im easier to contact currently given everyone elses schedules. -
Quote:I dont think we had to be naggedI agree that it's important that the communities money makes it back to the community. Equally important however, is that the trust that the community places in the reps (or whomever) is reciprocated from the get-go with transparency in what is being done with their contributions/time/effort.
I think it's a shame that the reps had to literally be nagged to be forthcoming with this information, information which I would have thought a basic courtesy to extend to the community who had taken part. Not just the "accountants" of the server.
Hopefully things will go a little smoother now. Here's to the future of the Champion community. I'm definitely looking forward to the next Player AuctionI thought we kept the records up to date every few events.
That will be something that can be addressed and made more clear in the future. -
Quote:no, they didnt require it on paper, so to speak. It was done because people from other servers didnt feel represented by their own servers rep's or more often than not, they wouldnt bother to show up. This was loud and very clear at the last mr & ms when people were allowed to cross server and see how we did it on Champion. Time and again all we heard was complaints about their servers reps and lack of interest in doing anything. It's a pretty sad state when during others servers judging us Champion reps are the 1s having to answer ?'s because their Rep(s) put them on ignore after telling them all to "shut it and deal with it".That statement is innaccurate. Not taking away from any validity of why the reps felt the need to leave, however PERC doesn't require any rep to volunteer on any other server. The only quota they have involves doing events for their own server.
True enough all the reps help across all servers and I am sure they feel obligated to volunteer being most every one does. However feeling obligated doesn't equal an actual required quota.
PERC is getting ready for their elections for 1st and 2nd chair and we felt collectively that the direction PERC is heading, and the lack of care for who they are to be representing, wasnt what we wanted to support. We have felt this way for a long time, but, due to the 29 bil champion rocked at the player auctions, we wanted to make sure that $ was spent. There had been on a couple occasions, discussions of that $ being used elsewhere on different server(s). As it was, we ended up donating some to the Mr n Ms winners, in addition to paying out our servers winners.
There was more than just a quota for doing things for our server. There was "spotlight" events that were to be done in addition to the quota for us... which, we were the only server that lived up to it, and more. We know our server better than anyone, and 80% of the time, we had to meet specific criteria for events and it was frustrating because we knew the events were lame but due to the perc stamp on us, we had to adhere to them. We were often made to tweak and conform to what people that had zero to do with this server, wanted.
Anyway. Moving on to better things. Just wanted to say thanks for the thoughts and opinions.. positive and negative. -
Quote:LOL! Yes... I don't necessarily "care" what happens with the money as long as it goes back to Champion somehow, someway. This is however why we made sure towards the end to giveaway as much as we had left so it wasn't a HUGE amount of money leftover.
Also... like Cherry confirmed we do still plan to do the Auctions in January (as is tradition) just not under the PERC Banner. We have had LOTS of people in the community asking when the next one would be and dying with anticipation for the next one. So do not fret... we will be hosting the 1ST ANNUAL MASTER AND SLAVE AUCTION! Stay tuned! All is in motion! -

Quote:we will be posting the funds spent on our server. We did leave perc with a small balance.. we tried our best to blow it all lastnight .Sounds like a solid plan, wish you the best of luck with it. I trust you'll be using the rest of the funds from the Player Auction still?
I think there is a 3 bil balance left.. we may be able to have perc kick this back to us for the events we will have in December. Since it was champion that donated it. -

Quote:Thats the planYou can always do what a few of us on Justice did and start a server events group (-all the committee bs), I still get OCR support when I ask for it.
hammering out the name and all the other what-nots.
Champion, You guys are such Rockstars! Thanks for always supporting the server all of the people that hold events .
