I agree the name and concept came to me that friday so I didn't bother to think of alternate names or name based reactions. I've settled on "Self Defense" Defensive set what do you think?

Between having high agility, using your bullets to deflect in coming fire, and also using your pistol for parrying I think it's a good set concept and if the name is the only real objection people have with it I'd gladly sacrifice it.

Interface/Reactive would give each pet 50 points of fire damage for each attack and since most pet attacks don't even do 50 points of damage doesn't that DOUBLE their damage output??

What's it like having Lore pets? Are they affected by Supremacy?

    Thoughts on Judgment and Destiny?
I went Musc with my Alpha and I don't think I could have made a better decision(it also boosts lore and judgement dmg!)

The fire dmg proc only stacks up to 6 times on any given target but yes otherwise you are correct

I took the barrier core line all the way up to Epiphany since I'm in melee anyways I took the void -dmg line all the way up to VR for judgement
  3. could you make a Big Vanguard Electric Guitar as an option too?

kind of like the character Positron? lol but that's more like two distinct defensive concepts tied to one limiting concepts that might work best with one over the other.

The game just treats radiation as energy right? Include a generic energy dmg component to the Power Armor set and let the player decide if it's nuclear/cosmic radiation or magical energy then create an unrelated radiation armor set if the demand makes the time costs worth it for both or either set.

My "Self Defense" Defensive set is a offensive weapon rolled into a defensive concept already backed by precedence in popular media, at a low low cost by reusing in game tech, in game models, in game power stats and only 1 distinct new animation. The set bolsters and is bolstered by a proposed pistol app. Instantly allowing all manner of classic concepts and niche ones like Sword/Axe/Mace + gun At worst it doesn't limit any melee concepts better served by two distinct sets(sets that don't exist yet) If you don't want a pistol/smg in your defensive set SR and Nin have you covered

I'm honestly considering re-posting this as the "Self Defense" defensive set with everything else 100% the same

You've managed to pull that off in both of your designs. I sincerely hope the development team take you up on those, because both of them are amazing
I would not mind an impractically large weapon either though

He did say "Elite team" so there would definitely have to be force mod powers in the group I'd say all 3 of the 3 EBs would have to be force mods and dmg dealers one is all AOE dmg attacks the other is All melee and pbaoe the other is all range and ranged aoe all have varrying buffs/debuffs and heals

Of course this does not allow you to use the gun offensively (Except for brawl, and charge.), but this is a defensive set your talking about.
I wouldn't mind that either but it seems like it would not work with a pistol app which would probably have to be mutually exclusive with shield in any case where a gun wasn't chosen as the shield unless it were thrown into the other hand, but if the gun is in the right it would cause redraw with the gun and with any weapons selected at character creation other wise I like the idea after all the goal is to use the same tech as shield to make it a reality with next to no time investment.

    Security Team

Why do they call those particular, singular war walkers "Security Team"? How is one petless entity a team? What happened to the rest of the team? Did they literally combine into one giant mecha? LOL

How do I get the various robots under my command to combine? I'd really like that ability. If it were an option for the hybrid slot I'd take it, if it were made mutually exclusive with repair for robotics I'd respec it into my build, ditto if it replaced that sacrifice power in traps.

Enchanted/Tech sword(any weapon really) that blasts out all manner of ranged attacks fire/cold both types of energy their is precedence up the wazoo for it and hell the DB Syndicate bosses have a lethal ranged ability they blast out of their swords(uses the same animation as the first DB cone) so their is already in game precedence for it and any work done on it would be usable in an Melee APP and in a Judgement slot ability

The VR pet set is cheap so use all 6 but use only 3 per pet summon, definitely grab the 2 protection procs and grab use blood mandate to take care of enhancement values the set is very cheap and has the best henchmen set bonuses

again the sr/ninjitsu type concept is already established as a part of the set and this was done from the word go, the concept of using a pistol isn't required for every action conveyed by any power in the set.

To person A your agility and experience with guns helped you dodge that bullet, to person B it was parried by bullet shot from your own pistol, to person C the incoming bullet was swatted away with your own pistol

The set's purpose is to open up concepts while utilizing preexisting tech for a most bang for development buck effect.

Do I think it will be implemented? No most suggestions aren't.
Do I think it could be implemented quickly and cleanly? Yes, but I'm not a coder.
Do i think it works conceptually? In the context of this game? In the context of the ATs that would get the set? Yes to all three, I would not have suggested it if I didn't think it did.
Do I think everyone will get on board? No I'm not that optimistic but I saw the pros as out weighing the cons and I do see the set as an attractive option for many concepts that require a pistol especially when combined with the pistol APP that would be released with the set.

I've already tied the defense set conceptually into the SR family along with Ninjitsu so the natural affinity for avoiding punishment base is already covered on the subject of the more out there uses of pistols The final battle in Equilibrium we see pistol parrying in melee, Vash the Stampede and Tray Heartnet use bullet dodging and bullet parrying in Trigun and Black Cat respectively so in super powered and near super powered mediums there is already precedent for the more out there uses of pistol-ery.

You would still have "unnatural" controls paired with your "natural" unless either a Mechanical control or Ninja control set were introduced too

I don't mind doms getting pistols and blade but such a set only makes that particular concept viable I cant help but think a /blade secondary would take a lot of work creating alternate animations for almost every set if redraw were to be eliminated, but I don't have a problem with such a set either.

Least amount of time + benefiting the most amount of ATs + opening up the most amount of concepts A Pistol defensive set with a pistol APP just can't be beat.

You're going to need Field of Pistols for moderate s/l and low energy resistance, Pistol Skin for low energy and high f/c defense, and of course Pistol Maintenance, a healing flames clone where you quickly pull out a stool to sit on while you clean the barrel (John Woo style animation).

Automatic Aura naturally surrounds you with floating pistols which fire every two seconds for .2 scale damage and a light recovery debuff. Off to the Races is a solid tier 7 that grants you and nearby teammates 30% recharge reduction and 40% recharge and movement speed resistance for 60 seconds on an unenhanceable 150 second timer.

As for the tier 9, what else, an unstop clone called Hard Boiled. For its 180 second duration you're frozen in place as you drink highballs and regret your dark past, but you also gain 55% resistance to all but toxic and psi, and any enemies within 25 feet will be mag 30 stunned by the tragedy that tempers your legendary marksmanship prowess.

There's a few gaps in there but you need to give the devs a little room to get creative.
LOL I do like the Hard Boiled mode

    Burn with procs

Burn lasts 10 seconds, procs in burn can only go off every 10 seconds does that mean that a a proc has 2 chances to go off in a single patch or just 1 chance?

  22. I think this would allow Meleers to live out any gunkata esque fantasies and allow concepts like Sword and/or Mace and a Gun to come to life as well.

When shield was introduced a bunch of sets got changed so that their attacks were right hand only I think the tech that allows you to carry a shield on your left at all times could allow you to carry a pistol or smg as well.

I do wonder if the left arm could be made to move independently of the right because I have an idea for a dmg toggle that would have your character cross the left forearm over their stomach shooting a continuous stream of bullets while moving their left forearm over to their right side and eventually twisting said arm at the elbow to cover all enemies behind them. If this isn't doable as a toggle than a click pbaoe works too

Like ninjitsu this set could be like a flavored version of SR but
-Instead of Hide you get a bullet proof vest inherent S/L res power or something
-Instead of a smoke flash you get pistol whip a chance to stun melee cone,
-Instead of caltrops you get Determinator your training was absolutely maddening allowing you to withstand mental assaults better than most(psi res)
*Instead of smoke flash you get the PBAOE mentioned above

The APP of course would compliment that concept with general pistol/smg attacks

    The benefits
    -More concepts become viable
    -No Redraw

    The cons
-Dunno it shouldn't require more tech at least
-Limited to 1 pistol as in can't do dual pistols without making a dual pistols APP which would have to draw the second pistol and/or any weapons used by the primary powerset
  23. SS probably won't be ported to scrappers as is but would anyone be willing take it as is double rage and all if it was ported sans crits?

I can't justify the level of ST output (which I don't think is all that great, I'd love to be proven wrong) at the sacrifice of AoE damage.

DM already does that, and it does it with a Self Heal and an Endurance Recovery Tool.

FM does ST extremely well, doesn't require a ton of rech to get a solid Attack chain and has a better AoE.

-Damage is a nice debuff, but its kind of pointless at the endgame against Single Targets on an AT designed to eat aggro for groups.

As a Brute the only single targets you will really need to debuff with -Damage (AVs) have heavy resistance vs. the tiny amounts of -Damage you can apply as a melee character.
AVs rarely have significant -dmg resistance and this is because the only thing that resists -dmg is dmg resistance; outside of toggles and unstoppable or something similar Av's don't have dmg resistances that are very high
