  1. Wow. I got insulted and flamed. First time for everything.

Be happy I'm a happy drunk.

You're entitled to your opinion Prez, of course. But standing in the BM and seeing how many people are on your server by using /search are two different things. Right now I'm on Guardian and am in the midst of starting up an LGTF. 248 people on the server that are unhidden. I believe in the global channel I frequent there is the LGTF and an LRSF going on. Not to mention the Synapse that was going when I logged on, and the respec I was asked to do.

Imagining things? Nah. As others said, remember, this is an instanced game, where a lot of people are IN MISSIONS. Not standing around bs'ing like the AE farm days.

kthxbai and have a good night! Love ya, don't mean it, but yeah. (I love being drunk! Celebrating new job!)
  2. Sorry if I suggested you were crying "dooooom!" Didn't mean it at all, just lamenting the mass amounts of other posts that are doom oriented.

As for the soloing thing, here goes: the Hero Corps Reps on blueside and their redside counterparts (I forget, I play redside very little) now have multiple difficulty options. You can set the mobs from -1 to +4, have bosses even when solo, set the spawns for anywhere from a 1-8 member team (even if you're solo) and face AVs while solo also. The super sidekicking is a nifty bit where the mission OWNER (not the team leader, though it may at some points be the same person) is the "mentor" of the entire team. So if the mission's holder is at and is running a level 35 mission, everybody above that is exemp'd to lvl 35, everybody below is sk'd to lvl 34. Bridging is dead. Added bonus though is that being exemp'd means you can still get xp; so you could run a Positron at level 49 and ding 50 during it. No more need to spend hours looking for the one last person to sk your buddy.
  3. I fear you'll have to forgive us on this; since Issue 14 and the mass AE Farming, Issue 15 and its lack of major content, and Issue 16 with people upset the AE farming has been nerfed, we've seen an awful lot of "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" posts, mostly having to do with seemingly low server populations.

Remember, in the game people can hide, so they may be doing that. Or, all the previous posts could be correct.

I have no troubles finding a team using my global channels on Guardian. The new super-sidekick system has made finding a team much easier, and there's still probably a lot of people testing out their toons on demon farms, solo, set to +4 mobs and an 8 person team, so there's probably a good deal of soloers now.

We're still helpful, but a little tired of doom posts. Sorry yours may have been seen as such.

    New FOTM?

Do not poop on my thread!

    <that's my job>

    New FOTM?

Okay, just wanted everybody's opinion on this. For fun and all, y'know.

With Issue 16 looming, most likely today, what do you all think will be the new FOTM powersets with the new proliferation? I'd guess a shield/elec tank or elec/shield scrapper.
  6. <hands visitors a wetnap>

Sorry, Pepsi is like that. Wipe the spit off ya real quick, it gets sticky with all the... well, Pepsi in it.
  7. What's serious? Is that like a troller that DOESN'T use kin?

    My profoundest apologies then.
  9. Short, simple and sweet-- change it.

If you're suggesting that I'm an AE baby, sorry, but I steer clear of AE because I'd rather TF all night. Been here for a year, and out of that, probably about 3 nights have been in AE farms. I know how to play my toons.

    Okay.
  11. Sorry, quick complaint, but not all farmers are RMT spammers. I farm to get money to do what I want to do with my toons. I certainly don't sell it.
  12. Perhaps while your fire/kin boss clears the map for us the rest of us can engage in ERP.

BTW-- AE baby = lvl 45 Peacebringer who doesn't know to click on the people at a hazard zone door to get in.
  13. Nope, you're not the only one. Been going on all this weekend.

I for one find it odd that it's happening on a long, holiday weekend... after the release of something recently.... but that's just hearsay and scandal....

Nah, jump me. I've had a 203 day weekend since February... not one I wanted, but still....

LOL! Yup, get that all the time. All of my toons have "NO. AE. FARMS. Anything else prolly okay, PST first" as search comments. When I get "AE farm?" tells, I direct them to search... and that's usually the reply.

    New to Gaurdian

Welcome to the Red-Headed Step Child server! Oh, wait, that term's been abandoned, hasn't it?

Okay... welcome to the loony bin. How's that?

Global channels are Guardian (public) and Level 50 (private, but I'm sure you can get an invite no probs.)

There may be some more, but not too sure about it as I mainly hang around in a friend's global channel.

    What if...

Thanks Pepsi, now I have ANOTHER video my three year old begs to see.

    Name that Baby!!

I've always been partial to Brock. That's a name you don't mess with....

Big, Burly Bully: Hey kid, what's your name? GIVE ME YOUR LUNCH MONEY!
Brock: (scrawny kid, coke-bottle glasses, reading comic books) Um.... yes sir. And my name is Brock.
BBB: Uhh.... never mind. He's MY lunch money. Don't hurt me, please.

Sadly my wife wouldn't let me name either of our sons Brock. We've got Collin Alexander and Owen Edward (I wanted Owen Rhys, but was overruled on that one too.)

With Ivan as a middle name.... howabout.... Cedric Ivan? Jonathan Ivan? Charles Ivan?

    Still.... Brock Ivan sounds fierce.
  19. If you're redside, head to Port Oakes and go to your broker to get a newspaper. Start doing them, then after a bank heist they'll introduce you to a new contact.

Blueside, head to Kings Row and meet up with your detective to get a police scanner. Same thing. Blueside though your contacts introduce you to other contacts, so you don't have to keep going back.

Both the broker and detective should be the icon on your nav menu when you first enter the zone.
  20. A lot of people are starting to head to AP and Cap to form TFs since there's a large population of people there. Me, I still use /search.

And last night, I ran a Synapse with an AE baby-- no vet badges, no idea what to do on a TF at start, etc. He was very good! A blaster by the name of Gigga-Watz or something like that. He freely admitted he leveled his first 50 in AE, but his second toon was being leveled in the "real" virtual world, not the "virtual" virtual world. I was quite impressed. And no, he didn't just stand at the door expecting the tanks to kill all... lol.

But.... you may be an AE baby if you walk through a zone, get an alert that you earned a badge, and got confused.

    STF still bugged

Tell ya what Awesome, I'd be happy to bring my FF/Sonic defender on an STF if you want to run it sometime in the near future. Tonight I'm doing a Synapse at 10pm central, and I can't do any days (weekends included.) Usually I can do a TF after 9pm Central time. I need one on her anyway, been trying for months to get her onto one as it stands.
  22. Call Me Awesome, I think you were the one running it on Guardian that prompted this post. Somebody asked my kin/rad if I wanted on, and I warned them of the bug; they said it was fixed.

Would a bubbler keep them away long enough to target? The repulsion bubble power, I mean.
  23. Last I heard the repairmen were able to heal the towers before you could target them. I've been wanting to do an STF for a few weeks now, but have been avoiding it because of the aforementioned bug. Has it been fixed yet or is it still active?

Actually, I had that one before AE quite often. I made an Ice/something defender that kept getting tells "Ned healor, lft?"
  25. You might be an AE baby if....

-- You're a stone tank and take the stealth pool because you're afraid of aggro.
-- You're buying lvl 50 TO's at the ticket vendor.
