I've been bored with just the same old missions on CoV lately, and I've been desperate to do some Role Playing. So are there any RP specific groups on CoV? Specifically Defiant, but I understand that Union is the unoficial RP server an all

Hello to all City of Villains Defiant players

The 5th Legion Super Group will be holding some events throughout the month of February to help ease those winter blues. These events will be open to all Defiant CoV players purely in the spirit of gaming fun and community spirit. Rest assured that, although the 5th Legion is organizing these events, we won't be forcing you to join our Super Group or anything similar. We just want to meet with new players and other Super Groups and enjoy the MMO-aspect of the game!

The first event is a Beach Party, taking place at Mercy Island on the 11th of February (This Saturday) at 2pm GMT.

The Beach Party is just a social event for players to meet up and have a chat, get to know each other, talk about various CoV related topics and generally have a laugh. The first Beach Party we held a week or so ago was a huge amount of fun for all involved, so we hope that more people will come along and join in!

We will also be announcing our first ever sponsored contest at the Beach Party, so tag along if you would like some details on this exciting upcoming event.

So, dig out your Speedos; we hope to see you at the beach!

I don't things like Power Boost has an effect on pets.

I would say Energy is the most powerful secondary of the lot, plus with Bone Smasher and Total Focus you have a nice disorient effect thrown in. Power Boost is excellent in that it helps increase the effectiveness of yoyr primary powers and holds as well.

Plus you get a nice balance of melee attacks and long range.

What build do you have?

I dunno about other combinations, but with my Grav/Energy I had to take Hasten as a somewhat essential power, and that itself means you have acess to Super Speed.

What other power pools have you taken? I assume something like Fighting, Stamina, Medicine and Concealment?

Was fighting Longbow and Rikti. I know the Longbow possibly can, but haven't been fighting Rikti long enough to check

I'm just paranoid then, that's good :P

I've started using him as a bodyguard. That is, pull opponents towards them and watch them get knock backed, as I hide behind giggling. It's rather good fun. He makes a good tank though, only died once I think.

One more question; Is he affected by your own Domination? I imagine the answer to be no, but thought I'll ask anyway.

A lot of people in my CoV Super Group play characters of the opposite gender. They can fit in the role really well, I'll admit I get confused by a persons gender.. I stopped trying to guess when I first started playing online games

I'm female and play a male character. I don't bother correcting people when they assume I'm male, because it is somewhat amusing at times. I think I need to work on the male aggression though

Now, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but Dimensional Shift was taken out of CoV too I imagine? Cos when I was fighting some folk with my glowy ball, I swear some of the mobs became untouchable. Not just in a stalker way, cos they locked down and not moving at all.. So it makes me worry >_>

I tried him/her/it out when I was teaming yesterday, and I didn't have to use any of my holds or anything, since Singularity was doing all the work for me. It was quite fun

I imagine it may be irritating when solo-ing, but I'll have to see

The only time I've seen mass SG spamming was when I was in Mercy, partly because a lot of SG's go there to try and snap up as many people new to the game as possible

I recently got to level 32 with my Gravity/Energy Dominator and was rather excited to get my pet, Singularity.. Maybe too excited, but anyway.

What powers does Singularity have? I've noticed that it was spewing out Gravity Distortion, Crush and Lift like crazy, which makes my job slightly easier, but this means I have no idea what to do with it. I'm planning on 6-slotting it ASAP, but I'm not sure what enhancements to use?

So, does anyone have any tips or experience when it comes to Singularity?

I eat through endurance like it's going outta fashion with my Gravity/Energy build. Fitness is a must for me with powers like Total Focus being so nice
