  1. Hola,

    Most of you do not know me but I'm pretty sure most of you have teamed with me more than once.

    @Slacker is my global, been playing for a really long long time but not as long as some others on this forum. I started just before I2 hit and honestly I bought the game by mistake (Didn't know it was a MMO - I know laugh it up.... they don't call me slacker for no reason) but it was one of the best purchase's I ever made.

    My first toon was a energy/energy blaster... took me me almost 6 months to get the toon to 50, had most of the debt badges at lvl 12 and loved every minute of it.

    I've been slacker since high school and all my real life friends know me as that title, even my mom calls me slacker, I have Slacker tattooed down my left calf (One of the best tats I have :})!

    To quote @Havok11, "I have more 50's than most people have alts!"

    Vicki is pretty much my main villain on Guardian he is a electric/stone brute and you would normally catch me playing him on any Co-op tfs.

    I am the leader of two SGs, mostly GF SGs (meaning that it's mostly my global friends that are on it). We are not super large but we have everything that the larger SGs have.

    Blue SG - The Junior League of Sidekicks
    Red SG - The Easily Confused

    After I filled Guardian up with 50's I was convinced to take my slackness to Virtue by @Swift, where I proceeded to spread my slackness like a plague. Formed two more GF SGs.

    Blue SG - The Moronic Imbeciles
    Red SG - The House of Doom

    Now I have no more empty slots on Virtue and only 3 toons on that server that isn't a 50 (2 stalkers and bubble/dp fender). I got bored with the 3 of them and now back to Guardian to play.

    I just really started posting on the forums, not saying that everything I post will make since to you but it does to me! :}

    Now I'm sure y'all didn't want to know all this but it was you after all that decided to read it.... suckers!

    Sick of Temps!

    I ran a ITF last night with a few other regular Guardian players, 4 mish, over 13 temp power drops, (now granted 3 of those was a Recipe Gifted from another player) 6 IO drops, and two Uncommon drops.

    As the tf concluded the same person that gifted the 3 temp recipes unleashed another 4 unto me.

    Now don't get me wrong I was by no means mad about the Gifted recipes, personally I thought it was funny as hell!

    I guess my point is that from two people in that tf there was 17 temp recipe drops in 4 mish, I can't say what the other 6 members got from it but I'm pretty sure it was close to what the 2 of us got individually.

    So yeah, I'd have to agree with Mr U, something is extremely wrong about this system that they have.
  3. Been talking to a lot of my global friends and we all agree that we would like to see the Vault go global or being able to email more then one item at a time. Salvage prices have gone through the roof, most of us if not all have more salvage then we know what to do with it's just getting to it cause it's all on toons spread out across the server or multiple servers.

    I figured a good place to start would be my home server before I put this into general population.

    This may be a waste of my time but it is something I really believe should happen.

    Let me hear what y'all think, am I wasting my time or is there more out there that think this is a good idea?

    Remember Mr U, this is their game... We are just renting playing time. If they cared what the players wanted we would have a global vault and be able to email more than just one item at a time, preventing the salvage market from being so expensive.
  5. Was talking to @Swift via email and he suggested that the problem could be due to overheating of the video card. I have to say I am slack about cleaning out my case on a regular basis, (only do it every 3 months or so) but with winter here and the heat being on most of the time and the 2 cats I have shedding like crazy (Lilly and Tuesday) dust built up quicker than I expected.

    Looks like I'm gonna have to check it a little more often from now on.

    Thanks Nezz for all the suggestions :}

    Sick of Temps!

    OK, I see that I am not the only person who thinks that the Devs are manipulating the drops, even though I have been told by GMs that all drops are random. I ran up a Night Widow on Virtue, for 3 days I did nothing other then run paper mish at 1/8 (With Bosses) after hitting 50. Clearing out each mish and varying the sort of baddies I was fighting, going through hundreds of baddies if not thousands I received not a single purple drop and rarely getting a rare drop that I was able to use (Not really caring for the resale since I needed to finish slotting out the toon).

    3 days + 4 hrs a day + 25 plus mish per 4hr runs = Not Diddly!

    I remember running in the Fab on my electric/stone brute and just like Nezz getting a purple drop every few hours.

    But according to the GM I talked to all drops are equally random!

    ...My butt!

    Sick of Temps!

    Temp powers, temp powers why do you plague us so?

    Has others notice in the last few weeks that the temp powers drops have been unbearable?
    Every mob you get a temp power that you have no use for or not wanted.
    Why don't the Devs make it so you can just buy them and eliminate the temp power drops altogether - kinda like the jet packs in Grand and Firebase Zulu or from the market.

    I gotta believe I'm not the only one that has to stop after each mob to delete the temp powers that is taking up space of something better and that would bring in a higher sell rate.

    That and most people I've talked to never use temp powers other than the Jet pack or the Envenomed Daggers.

    Not saying they are all bad but how many Revolvers does one toon need?
  8. Update, out of jollies I tried to load up CoH once again and didn't have any problems...

    I'm really confused now as to what was going on.
  9. The card is 2 years old, been running fine ever since i installed it, played the night before with minor lag on a ITF.

    It is only on CoX, I play Champions and have no problems there... Movies and such run fine as well.

    I have not done a system restore, wanted to see if there was anything else I could do before I went there.

    I have a 800 watt power supply (I know that is extreme but it beats the 450 that came with the barebones kit), know that isn't the problem and all my connections are connected securely.

    This has really gotten me stomped as to what the problem could be, did more research on BFG and found that a lot of people had problems with them, saying that BFG know they was shipping defected products.
  10. Quick question to all of you tech heads. I just rebuilt my PC about 2 years ago, I bought a BFG Tech video card (and yes I know bfg is bust and no longer warranting any of it's hardware), it's a nvidia Geforce 280, when I upgraded. I have the normal lag on certain tf/sf/Grandville etc. Went to load up this morning and my screen went wacky turning blue with small red lines running through it till finally my comp shut down.
    I been playing all along with minor lag but no real issues, was on last night and had no issues there either.
    I did a full sweep on my comp today and updated my video drivers, verified files twice, etc etc and I am still having problems.
    It's only on the game and I'm not having any problems anywhere else with the video card.
    Any suggestions as to what the problem could be and how to solve it?

    Thanks
    @Slacker
