Pickin Your Brain
Hmm...
-Is the problem *Only* when you play CoX?
-Do you have other 3D Intensive Games to play to see if the same thing happens with them?
-Did CoX Play just fine Before this problem? If so, how long before this finally happened?
-Did you try to do a System Restore to before this problem occured?
-Before you purchased the new Video Card, did you make sure your Power Supply was Sufficient enough to run it while gaming?
-Did you re-check all the connections to the Video Card?
-Did you make sure to plug in BOTH power supply plugs into the Video Card? I have a NVidia GeForce 285 Card which should be pretty Similar to yours and it had two Power Supply Connectors to it, two 6 pin if I remember correctly.

The card is 2 years old, been running fine ever since i installed it, played the night before with minor lag on a ITF.
It is only on CoX, I play Champions and have no problems there... Movies and such run fine as well.
I have not done a system restore, wanted to see if there was anything else I could do before I went there.
I have a 800 watt power supply (I know that is extreme but it beats the 450 that came with the barebones kit), know that isn't the problem and all my connections are connected securely.
This has really gotten me stomped as to what the problem could be, did more research on BFG and found that a lot of people had problems with them, saying that BFG know they was shipping defected products.

Update, out of jollies I tried to load up CoH once again and didn't have any problems...
I'm really confused now as to what was going on.

LOL... nice... Yeah, my card is a BFG too, never had problems with it. My best guess is that in the last week or so with thier patches maybe something slipped in that conflicted with your Video Card Drivers but was immediately fixed? Of all my experience that is the best possibility I can come up with XD

Was talking to @Swift via email and he suggested that the problem could be due to overheating of the video card. I have to say I am slack about cleaning out my case on a regular basis, (only do it every 3 months or so) but with winter here and the heat being on most of the time and the 2 cats I have shedding like crazy (Lilly and Tuesday) dust built up quicker than I expected.
Looks like I'm gonna have to check it a little more often from now on.
Thanks Nezz for all the suggestions :}

Quick question to all of you tech heads. I just rebuilt my PC about 2 years ago, I bought a BFG Tech video card (and yes I know bfg is bust and no longer warranting any of it's hardware), it's a nvidia Geforce 280, when I upgraded. I have the normal lag on certain tf/sf/Grandville etc. Went to load up this morning and my screen went wacky turning blue with small red lines running through it till finally my comp shut down.
I been playing all along with minor lag but no real issues, was on last night and had no issues there either.
I did a full sweep on my comp today and updated my video drivers, verified files twice, etc etc and I am still having problems.
It's only on the game and I'm not having any problems anywhere else with the video card.
Any suggestions as to what the problem could be and how to solve it?
Thanks
