. Hopefully this solves the problem, and I can now pregress to inks.
Frosty's Revenge Again -
No, np at all graver. I appritiate the help. *stops targeting graver with lazer of death* REALLY. Nah, that is an easy fix, and as has been said many many times hands are troublesome. That is why I have been posting wip's lately, so everyone can nitpick the errors so they do not detract from the final pic. It is all about learning.

Damn ta is missing my new [censored] slap picture!!!! em getsome
-
Ok the hand is now in a more open almost swinging slap potition, and the posterior coverage has been modified.
Frosty's Revenge -
Think I got the hand straigtened out (or splayed or .... its getting hot in here) lol,
. I will rescan tomorrow.
*sniff* I miss firefly. Joss ftw in general. -
Yeah I though the hand was off too. I played with it for like 1 hr and still just not there yet.
-
I decided to spread the pictures to my sg, and am starting a piece for a long time sg mate. She loves the getsome emote and can often be seen typing "bite me" or "kiss my [censored]" so I wanted to get some of that attitude here. Tell me what you think.

Really glad people like it, I had a lot of fun doing it. With that said any further drawings I really want to take to a completed state not just pencil work, so people that singed up previously, I have not forgotten any of you and will try and do them. BUT, my turn around time doing completed peices will be much longer. This took me around 6 to 8 hrs.
Thank you to everyone who has let me borrow their chars!!! I appologise for any that I really butchered, but your support has helped me learn alot and practice. -
We have menues now. Wow internet ogling gets much easier!!!

come on feral kat!!!!! You know you want too!!! Just put a not work thingy on it!!

OK here she is, and it was a great learning experience to take something like this to completion. I had never fully inked or colored something in ps like this before. I hope it converted for the web ok, I was having some issues with how my screen contrast reads on my machine with ps and other computers when I posted initial colors a few days ago, so hope this looks ok.
Without further chitchat!!!!

Just my own note, I am looking at this on my other system and I am not as happy with it. this monitor is much brighter and the hair look off, so lol. It really looks surprisinly different between the 2 monitors. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Ok in my effort to keep learning and contuniuing to look for feedback to make this the best I can, here is the face coloring so far. It still needs work, and as you can see the grey portion is still flats, so really I have been doing the face only so far. This is my first attempt at full ps colors, it is definately a learning experience!!!!
Feral Kat Face, initial colors and shading -
Like I said my main problems with using ps for this are mainly inexperience with those parts of the program. I am not always sure what all the different tools, and sub catagories of tool are really used for at times. So, it becomes a process of take advise, use tutorials, and trial and error. And with all that said, with ps you ask 20 people you get 25 different ways of achieving basically the same thing. So there is always a measure of self discovery. I have finished the flats for the most part, in the process learned alot about layering and using layers, now I am playing with extending that to effects and coloring/blending, and it is going ok so far.
Have already found that using burn, dodge, and smudge SPARINGLY can do some nice things, but layering colors and adjusting opacities etc definately leads to much stronger colors, and nicer blending. SO I can be tought!!!!
But for the little I have done so far, really glad I got a tablet, especially when turorial are says they pitty doing these things with a mouse. -
Started colring this tonight. I have my flats more or less done, but learning to highlight and color well with ps is gonna take me some time. Yet another skill I am attempting to learn on my own.

I know this was posted long ago, but I need some help with phososhop. I am using version cs2, and have started coloring my 1st piece. I have gotten each base color in its own layer ok, and the basic colors look good. Now my questions....
1. how do I creat layers that will allow me to burn, dodge, apply effects over the color layer so I can see the color with and without effect, and basically toggle them off and on?
2. How would you add a metal or chorm effect to a color or layer to creat a metal look only to a certian item.
3. What is the best way to apply tectures etc?
I know these sound like newbe questions, but I have never really used ps to color before, so I am new at this. I have a good basic understanding of the program overall though.
I also know there used to be link to several good tutorials on these forums, but they have been sent to the thread graveyard. Does anyone have these again?
Thanks in advance. -
I like that alot. I really like when people take comic style and apply it to a rl situation.
-
Oh can I have a cookie? I even admit to having a few cat chars, and belong to a kitty global channel based on infinity.

Ok, I completely redid the inks in ps, I think it turned out well, and the jaggy problem is gone completely!!
Feral Kat PS Inks -
Now will Rowr claim her im is too busy and she does not have time to respond to all of them.
-
I have started redoing it in ps, and it is looking much better. Not sure if it is the scanning vs my inking ability, but the digital method seems to be working well, much cleaner and sharper. Ty for the observations again.
-
It was inked by hand and scanned. It could be the method I used to scan also, the original does look relatively smooth. Again, this is the 1st time I have inked with a brush. I am thinking of trying again in ps, just that actually seems to take longer at this point.
I am going to get this right!!!! *puffs up in determination*
