  1. I knew that you'd get smoother moves once you shaved your legs, Mr. Happy Feet Pingu.
  2. Congratulations on your 1st anniversary, Stoned Templars!

    Here's to many more.

    Cheers.
  3. Thanks a lot for sharing the pics, PallasAthene!

I quite enjoyed the 'Find Cobalt's head' game. Although some I stared at for seconds thinking, 'where the **** is he!?!'

  4. Nice write up. Kudos.

This is like the Pocket D of the forums - anyone can hang out here as long as it's game related. So for those that want to belittle and gripe about posting PvP stuff here, just don't. It is relevant to this section since it is directed at encouraging PvP to all players.
  5. Happy Birthday, Cherry.

    Cheers,

Besides, drainers are part of the game. If i get drained of all my end i accept it, die and move on. A fight shouldnt be about who'll run outta Inspires first...
I'm not going to try to talk you out of your code of play. Although, Inspirations are part of the game, as drainers are. They are there to be used. Are there other PvP games where people say, "No using potions"?

It is not unreasonable to put forward that an aspect of a fight could and, perhaps, should be about running out of Inspirations first. It could be about other things, too, like who runs out of Endurance or Health first. The latter two may be considered bigger aspects of a fight, whereas Inspirations are, similarely, another facet of the fight and not necessarily the be all/end all of it.
  8. Welcome back, Renamon!

  9. Happy anniversary, Tankers!

A big thanks to all who have kept this going all these years.

    Cheers.
  10. Thanks to everyone that showed up and especially to NetMinder for the prizes and keeping things rolling - fantastic job.

    What a great night!
  11. Sorry to hear about your issues with this, Kay.

I don't really have any new troubleshooting ideas right now other than to drop as many services and background apps as possible then add them back one at a time if all seems well. I blame Windows Live.

Also, might there be a chance that there is some old video drivers (or otherwise) still on your system that you haven't yet cleaned fully?
  12. Good to see your name again, Kay. Welcome back and I really hope you get your problems worked out with the game.

    Cheers.

    Yay yay yay yay

That's quite an effort, Tooter King.

    Is it worth it?

I do get excessive lag and slight mapserves when there is lots of DoT from players' attacks, especially when it's coming from me (as in from my attacks).
Just throwing that out there as well as it may be relatable to the MS lag. *shrug*

So what I get from Synapse's posts is that if you're in Oro mode the drops are fine, but if you run those old kept farms in your mission lists you'll see decreases.

Kudos to the dev's that worked to sort this out and to everyone that supplied data. Glad this is getting fixed.

    Is it worth it?

I'm with Stray and Flash on this. I haven't experienced anything too different from before i-16. I'm inclined to think it's more an ISP or server issue than anything else.

    Level 50 Snobs

Not to be argumentative, but if you built your character for playing at L50 and, as you say, certain powers were chosen later as opposed to earlier, then why not build them so that they are more exemplared-friendly?

If you get set IOs for 50, you won't have the bonuses, but with the extra slotting in those powers, in relation to those players on the team you're exemp'd to, will be far greater than theirs.

I understand not wanting to exemplar, but to say that travel powers or Stamina is chosen later as a factor isn't really all that valid of an excuse. That's an easy fix in a respec.

However, I too have some characters that I feel aren't as worthy below a certain level because of power choices and I'm just too lazy to do a respec to account for those opportunities of getting on a certain level range's team.
  19. Sounds great, Net! Jeez, 5yrs just flew by didn't it?

Pang will be there for the MS raid. Then I'll switch to Magrok for the other two events.

This will be a tanktastic evening that should not be missed!

    Death to a.e

    That makes sense, WHF.

I have a question though. Aren't the data being posted by players including Inspiration and Salvage drops to be on par with the bumped settings? ie. those drops are going to 1 person with same numbers that would be divided throughout the team previously?

I'm not following this issue as closely this week so I don't know all the facts or apparent facts about the drops.

If what I wrote above is correct then why the difference in numbers of 'object type', for lack of a better word, drops?

I read Synapse's post and was glad he commented. I would like to see if the programmers could create a report from the database to see if that drop db table is being accessed, which I assume is done after a number generator system to see what recipe is given out, and then check to see if anything is done after that access. Of course it'd be more complicated than what I'm saying, although the conclusion would be to find out if recipes are ghost dropped to non-existing players. If the recipe db table is accessed more times than actual drops are given in an instanced mission then it would point to a logic issue in the code. IMHO, anyway.

And what is it with all these new DOOM criers that don't know how to spell or use capitalization?

I'm not a grammar nazi or anything, but do they purposefully type like a child? Because that's usually how they sound in their posts anyway so I guess they like to go the whole method acting route for our enjoyment.

  22. Have you actually done a Search on each zone to see how many are where?

Are you going to try to follow any of the adviced given to you?

I mean c'mon. It sounds like you're standing in Atlas and nobody is inviting you when all you're doing is standing around. I don't know if that's what you're doing, but it sounds like it.

Get around and explore the City. There are hundreds of interesting things to see once you venture forth.

Doesn't really matter much to me. When I'm making a team up, I'll pretty much take anyone who wants to come with whatever they want to bring. Somehow, some way, we'll make it work.
Nice paragraph. I feel the same way. Sometimes I'll purposefully form a team of newbies, or the lesser informed if you will. Not often, mind you, but I get a sense of enjoyment out of watching these players team together, but more to the point helping them with information, ideas, and so forth in allowing them to become better players. Ergo more useful and beneficial to their future teams. I'm by no means an uber player, but what I do know I'll share it.

Yay, you love having huge lag spikes as you get near the black market/wentworths
For this issue to go away you need to get more RAM. I had the same thing happen some time ago, even getting d/c'd. I added a Gb of RAM and have no more issues like that.

Oh, nevermind. I see what this is about.
