  1. Once a stalker engages combat on a large scale meaning there are Many opponents around? The stalker is extremely ineffectual. With 1-3 around a stalker can get by. But large scale battles? Forget it. The real fact is PVP as it is now due to its over all unpopularity allows stalkers to work very well. But otherwise? Forget it. And the chosen AT for large combat and lack of stalkers is too evident to support these other claims of Stalker superiority.

    Fix placate and help stalkers

Qutie the contrary, my stalker had 600 rep points by the time I ........

Uh.....Cap for rep is 400. How do you get 6?

I would only want Repulse on a Brute if the knockback scaled according to your Fury level.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would depend on my build, my DM/EA would skip repulse, it's hard enough to keep them together in a team with knockback for the high efficiency of things like SM, DC, SD, and ED

4 powers that rely on closely packed mobs for max effectiveness means no repel for me thanks. Maybe on other combos it would be a better choice though.

I haven't fiddled with my /ea stalker enough to tell - but you'll notice that none of the stalker sets have stealth aside from Hide. If /EA for stalkers had EC, it would be the de-facto set for staking Hide+EC+Stealth to avoid perception.

Conceptually, EC is a better fit for stalkers, but they get Hide as one of their signatures - replacing the stealth power made the most sense for balance.

That said, don't expect to see cloak of shadows in DA for stalkers either.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You misinterpreted what i was saying. I never meant to convey the idea of giving Stalker EC as well. I was saying that the feature of EC being that the stealth never supressed in Def and also always mitigate aggro very effectively is what SHOULD be in Hide. A Brute really does not need this feature. A stalker NEEDS it badly for PvE. And why they gave Brute this feature in EC but not Stalkers in Hide absolutely baffles me. I mean then at least it would make up for the fact that when stalkers need to run from a battle and they slip into hide the enemy can still see and tgt you knocking you out of hide. With an EC feature built into it? This would almost be acceptable. Right now? It is not.

15% is nothing to sneeze at, atleast post-I5... S/L is awfully low, but nothing you can't patch up with Weave and whatever else you get.

For Stalkers and Brutes though... atleast in PvP anyway, it *feels* like SR and Nin Stalkers have more DEF to EVERYthing than */EA Brutes... infact they(SR stalkers) seem pretty similar to, fighting against SR Scrappers, atleast to me... EA stalkers... though fairly uncommon, didn't seem to have any less DEF than the EA brutes I've fought. ...But then I run builds that can see these stalkers and start attacking them before their Hide and Stealth is dropped. One of their sheilds seems to give extra DEF against my Repel as well when combined with their Hide AoE defense.

I guess what this all means to me is, EA Brutes, even after I7 changes DEF calcs, will still be behind the game. They should really get their bread and butter utility powers(Drain, CP) earlier before Stalkers and move the rinky dink Auto-Powers up the chain(and boost their Bases some).

It's also a little silly that Brutes get energy cloak and Stalkers get repulse... isn't that just being contrarian?

    [/ QUOTE ]

ILR, wanna hear really contrarian? Brutes are basicly the aggro magnets of the game while stalker are supposed to be the Anti magnets.

Yet Brutes get an EC that stealths them (NP there) but then does not really drop allowing them to control their aggro while Stalkers get Hide and when it drops everyone in the room sees them and comes running. On a toon that needs aggro mitigation more than any other in the game of CoV and they give the best aggro mitigation to the one AT that needs it the least. I mean......How contrarian is that?
  5. I have a regen/spine too. and i gotta tell you. This Bug was about the only thing that helped mitigate the fact that everything hits us. Now that it is going to be eventually removed? Regen is going to SUCK! Think about it......Everything hits you. Everything gets thru. Sure you can heal fast but your DMG now more thn any other AT will be castrated. You will be a Poverty struck Stalker version of a tank. Better resistance to dmg but crapier dmg than your rest of your bretheren. And that means having to rely more on not being seen, (and almost impossible feat now adays) and a prayer you get in time before you are actually seen to do your worst. We'll get no def. We'll be knocked out of hide more easily and a hell of a lot often than any other set. And we're essentially screwed. So even though it was not intended......REGEN get's screwed again!

    NERF REGEN!
  6. The tactic in PvP zones of Tping foes into towers is interesting. I personaly have witnessed this in Sirens Call. I am a villain. Here is the deal....

I have seen fellow villains TP their foes who are camping at their hospital out in the open by their drones (you can always stay inside the lobby to be truly safe) into towers near by, so as to kill their travel (assuming they do not have hold powers themselves) so they cannot retreat back to their drones.

I have seen this done when a hero near their base sees their battle is going badly and runs for mamma (drone) protection.

I have seen it used on Heroes with hold powers to have them enjoy the same issues they force on others. (Oh and you hurricaners? I have seen it used just to keep you from interfering and YOU CAN BE KILLED, by ranged attacks when in or out of them)

Considering that the villain base is a death trap. Heroes wontonly enter into the villain hospital and spawn kill at will. and how they exploit their well fortified base as a safe zone and even use it as a weapon against enemy forces (and the drones kill instantly, Being in a tower relies upon combat still), I cannot see any reason why this tactic of the use of their guard tower should be cried as foul by any player and stated to be greifing or harrassment.

I could see this being the case if there was absolutely no way out. But with the ability to buy TP devices or have friends with TP Fr, or have TP yourself? and they can still fight, till some assistance arrives or they release themselves. This is relatively easily trumped manuver.

Considering it is a PvP issue and as a result, I think anything that can be used in there should be used considering the way the odds are stacked against the villain population.

I find it a very valid tactic for combat purposes and am personaly for it.
