  1. Well, the Kheld I/O set further validates my not taking any of the kheld shields. Slot that and you get extra resist making those shields even less useful. Perma-light form + tough + any team bonuses - what more do you need?

I don't know the raw numbers, but it seems like tough and weave (for defense) is a better way to spend three slots (including the melee power you have to take first) than those shields are even though Tough is only Smash/Lethal resist.

That's what I took from that. A red name pops up in a thread like this and contributes only that, it's rather like an adult coming into a room to find the kids talking about something the adults don't want them to and shouts, "Hey look, ice cream truck!" to change the subject.
  3. I don't take the shield toggles, myself. I respeced them out back when any mez dropped all toggles because they were about as useful as the Vet reward buff pet. A PB get's a 0.5 sec stun from most mobs just looking at him, then down go the toggles.

Once they let toggles stay up when mezzed, I put them back in for about a week and then took them out again. It's so easy to cap resist, why bother with End Guzzling toggles that give little, if any, benefit? Instead, I've taken to power pools to try to fix things. Tough makes the resistances about as well as all three toggles combined, add Stealth, Combat Jumping, Maneuvers, and Weave for Defense and I think I have better survivability (although worse End Guzzling). Now, slot a Luck of the Gambler 7.5 in each of those defense sets as well as seek other Rech friendly I/O's and I have a mono-form PB with only three melee attacks, but not much interruption in the attack chain. I'll need to throw in a Sands of Mu or one of the ranged attacks from time to time to keep the assault going, but lots of power. All I had to do was spend a billion in influence and ignore half of the secondary power set in favor of pool powers. I can even be affective in groups of mobs encountered while the Shield Charges and the Ionic Judgements are cooling down.

I don't even mind chasing mobs after Solar Flare (although it annoys teammates more than I like to). I might even accept this (even though every other power in the game is KD instead) if the mobs would actually bounce off walls instead of through them.

Speaking of ITF's, was on one yesterday and Solar Flared a healer into the wall preventing us from freeing a Sibyl. PBAoE attacks do not seem to hit stuff stuck in walls like they used to, we sat around and waited. KB would not be so bad if you could use it up against the wall with the expectation that the mob would still be targetable once he got back to his feet.
  4. I think so. Several here still seem to be n similar need. I know I'll be cjecking in Sat and Sun just to see if there's enough interest.
  5. I don't post much (obviously), but I do love my Peacebringer. I don't care at all if they are balanced with Warshades. I just want them to be better for teams as I am tired of the answer to "can I bring my PB?" being "No" most of the time.

So just reducing the amount of KB would greatly improve DPS and allow me to play him in teams with adulation instead of consternation.
  6. Sorry I missed it, but congratulations Ion.

I am still in need of Keyes badges, but regardless, I would help on any future attempts. Are we going to continue doing this on Sunday nights?
  7. *sigh*

Folks have already despaired of doing this trial. It's really not that much fun to do, Basically mindlessly repeat the same process over and over again with only your constant dying to keep you awake.

The final fight's not bad, but getting badges requires both dedicated and skill players and a bit of luck. Relying on luck not to get trapped in the green while time is stopped is not the same as a challenge. Making badge getting needlessly complicated and repetitious is more annoying than challenging. I kind of wish they had meant what they said when they said they didn't want farming or grinding.

This is by far the biggest grind of the trials so far and much more difficult and less interesting than BAF.

I've been on two Mo attempts and by the end of both a large portion of the trial members had expressed interest in never visiting Keyes island again, badges be damned. Beyond how annoying the badges are, it appears it may be much more so just to get a league formed willing to go after them.

On Enjoys a Challenge, when I read the description, it seemed to me that you could neither die nor destroy a terminal. The language is to vague to know for certain, though.
  8. And what's more, if you have one of the accolades and switch alignments, you will be granted the other side's accolade with the same power, even if you do not have all the prerequisite badges.
