  1. Nice choices ^__^

Think I meant Plant/Archery Dominator...but there isn't Archery in Dominators, so I would've been wrong in both circumstances!

Came across an actual Freedom Force Wiki with a good deal of info on the game.

Muinuteman... think Mace / Shield Brute would work the best (has a "Rally the Troops" which shares some similarities to Shield Defence's "Grant Cover")...although, like you said, it would need a subtle shield design.
  2. Sunday 24 January 2010, 20:00 (BST) onwards.

Masters attempt, so level50 heroes preferred.

    Anyone interested?

    1. @Captain Solaris - Earth: Invul/SS Tank
    2. @JupiterMoonGirl - ??
    3. @Super Ready - Super Ready: MA/SR Scrapper
    4. @Cunundrum - Undecided

  3. Whilst on my break at work, I started to arrange which powersets the Freedom Force heroes would have if they were introduced into Paragon City (in line with Going Rogue)...

    Alche-Miss -
    Bullet -
El Diablo - Fire Blaster / Fire Manipulation Blaster
Eve - Plant Control / Arrows Corruptor
    Man-Bot - Invulnerability / Electricity Melee Tanker
    Man O'War - Electricity Melee
Mentor - Mind Control / Psi Blasts Dominator
    Microwave -
Minuteman - Mace / Shield Brute

    Reserves:
    Blackbird -
    Iron-Ox - Invulnerability / Super Strength Tanker
    Law - Broadsword / Scrapper
    Order - / Mace Tanker
    Supercollider -

    Youth Team:
    Ant, The- Scrapper
    Liberty Lad - Scrapper
Sea Urchin - Force Fields / Electric Blasts Defender

...my breaks over and as you can see it's not finished. Any comments or suggestions in assigning sets? Any FF heroes I've missed?

I have a feeling I might make a couple "homage" characters tonight!
  4. The throwback 1950s dialogue was the greatest!

The individual voices for each signiture hero was diverse andmade it easy to distinguish between them. My fave accent was Iron-Ox (stereotypical Enlish boxer from the Victorian age) with his battle cry of "Pip-pip"! Always used to make me chuckle.
  5. Used to get most of my mods and add-ons from the Freedom Reborn site and Alexff. Think the Freedom Reborn team are on based on one of the US servers somewhere.
  6. To me Alche-miss was probably the most powerful out of the lot of them.

My fave team however was Bullet (speedster scrapper), Microwave (radiation blapper), El Diablo (fire blaster) and Man O'War (elec tank/scrapper/blaster). 2 Fliers, a range of high dmg types and abilities for self heal made them a formidable wrecking crew.

Main subs would be Alche-miss and Man-bot. He was a good tank with a devastating AoE, albeit a tad slow.
  7. Freedom Force was the most awesome customisable superhero genre game for me. Still have both FF and FFvsTTR with over 1Gb worth of add-on files (mainly for FF1) from characters to campaigns!

Makes me want to re-install it...however I don't think I have the patience of re-editing the game to include all the add-ons again. :/
  8. Merry Christmas mate and to all other Defianteers! Hope everyone had a great day
  9. Relatively quiet in comparison...however not dead.

I've begun playing CoH more regularly again and I don't seem to have any problems picking up teams. The Defiant Events channel is a click away and tend to get a team even late in the evening.

I can't comment on whether Union is more populated than Defiant, however I have the "Union Taskforces" and "Defiant Events" channels, but it's the latter that always seems to be more bustling with people looking for teams for TFs and the such.
  10. Sorry haven't been able to post up a schedule for an attempt on MoDrKTF.

Thinking Sunday 20:00 (UK time) and onwards. Just going to wing it and see what we can get. However I'll more than like be on as my rad/rad def again.
  11. Very big thanks to all who came and congrats to those who got the badge!

I'll be happy to come along again as my Invul tanker if any of you lot need it for other alts.

As for my main (Rad/Rad Def), that's MoSTF and MoITF checked off the to do list. I think it's just Dr Khan to do now! Interested? Will post up for a run for this this coming Sunday.
  12. Certainly why not. I'll be on again Sunday evening. I not too fusseda bout the ATs this time around. Just as lojng as we get the right combination of ATs.

The last run we got unlucky, but not crying over it as it happens from time to time. Overall we did a good job, so looking forward to the next one.
  13. ...or maybe it should be PuPs (Pick up players) since it was more than one

Didn't manage it this time around. But hopefully get it on the 2nd attempt.
  14. No worries Botje.

Hopefully you can still get on in time. If not guess we'll have to get a PuG, won't be the same without you...but we'll try our best.
  15. Fire/Dev would be sweet

    ...and that makes our 8.
  16. Sweet...Of course you can DS. If you can go mind/kin, Shock can go as his Illu/FF.
  17. I've updated the AT selection. Hopefully we can get rad 2ndry controller on the team and finally another blaster or high damage scrapper.

Illusion/FF would be very nice, especially for the squishies out in range, allowing the tank to do the business in the thick of it...however with Miasma's cloud and rad's debuffs coupled with the empaths heals, we should do fine.
  18. Nice range for us to pick and choose.

Would love to use either the Invul/SS or Fire/Kin, then Shock and yourself can choose which you'd prefer to bring along.

Just an option... although I initially want the badge for my main alt, I also have an Invul/SS Tanker that I use for TFs who'd be able to take on LR and the other AVs in the TF, that's if people want to use other alts.

If we get a full team to sign up here, we'll can sort out who's taking who prior the meeet up on Sunday. If not, I'm certain we can PuG the other members ingame and sort out ATs then.
  19. I've amended the schedule for an evening run.

If you guys aren't too fussed on what you're playing, think we'll be able to play around with the ATs you've offered for the TF on the day since we have 2 players who can play empath and 2 players who can play dark defs.

If can't find another tank hope Sarg doesn't mind playing his Stoney now we have Shock's fire/kin troller on board.
  20. Master of Statesman TaskForce

    Date: Sunday 06 December
    Time: 20:30 UK time.

My main hero, Captain Solaris, would like this achievement, so I'm in search of a good team in completing this task. Below I've included the type of heroes I'd like in the team, however it's not set in stone...

    Interested? Sign up today!

    1. @Captain Solaris: Radiation Emissions/Radiation Blasts Defender
    2. @Chisel: Dark Empathy/Psionic Blasts Defender
    3. @Sargatanas: Energy Blasts/Energy Manipulation Blaster
    4. @Mr Shock: Illusion Control/Force Fields Controller
    5. @kingjurrie: Dark Miasma/Dark Blasts Defender
    6. @Demonic Judgement: Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker
    7. @Dark Spider: Mind Control/Kinetics Controller
    8. @JupiterMoonGirl: Fire Blasts / Devices Blaster

  22. In comparison to the first build...

    Bonuses
Can perhaps squeeze a bit more here and there, but with the changes the decreases are very small and increases are quite good.

    Regen = -6% (about 2sec slower regen)
    Max HP = -0.4% (only about 4hp)
    Hasten = +11.3%
    Acc = +7%
Dmg = -1.5% (only a difference of about 1-2hp dmg).

    Powers
Hasten >>> Moved up to lvl10. Ended up moving Thermal Shield to lvl14 and Quantum Shield to lvl47 since won't encounter too many mobs with En/Neg damage until later down the levels.
    Pulsar >>> Replaced Restore Essence.
Reformed Essence & WD Sublimination >>> Improved Recharge times by 8secs
Solar Flare & WD Flare >>> Released Solar Flare slots and placed into Photon Seekers. Keeping slots on WD Flare since there's only a few attacks in there anywho.
Photon Seekers >>> Now my highest damaging attack by a long shot. Wasn't intending to use Purple sets, but the bonuses Soulbound provides was just too sweet to pass. Thankfully I have one recipe...just need to get the other 3!

  23. Cool. Nitpicking is what I want and they all seem valid points.

I have an abundance of Hami-O's after I respec'd my all Hami-O Rad/Rad def the other day. So have a fair few nuclous exposures to pop into.

    Anyway:

Glinting Eye - Check if you will actually use this power, if you will it might need more slots, if you wont then save yourself a slot.
This'll rarely be used. May look into putting that slot elsewhere (ie: Photon Seekers), however the 12% regen it offers from Devastation is quite nice.

Bright Nova - Aside from the set bonus' you are not actually getting much benefit from all those slots. Personally I would leave the performance shifter proc in the base slot, you can use the other 4 slots to add an endrdx into each blast - it will save you loads more endurance in a fight, which is when you really need it.
Purposely slotted for the bonuses, but I see your point with the EndRdx saving me more end

Reform Essence - This adds to your survivability in a big manner (As you can imagine a 50% heal would!), I would find a way to get both the heal and recharge ED capped.
Will look into reducing rechrg and increasing it's heal.

Solar Flare - I don't know how much you use this power. It is an awesome power, or would be if it wasn't for the KB. Personally I would slot this with fewer slots and add the spare slots to the single target attacks, because you will be using them more often. Depends how often you find yourself using this though.
Slotted for the bonuses (likewise it White Dwarf's own Flare). Guess focusing the Human form to be more Single Target would be logical since Bright Nova would be my Howitzer canon.

Photon Seekers - To me these are a very important power and deserve more love, particularly more recharge love.
Definately. I just need to find more slots to steal from other powers

Kick and Brawl - Save yourself a few million and don't bother slotting this, unless you actually use either?
Just using spare Hami-Os I have left over after respec'ing my all Hami-O Rad/Rad def

Hasten - I would have taken this much earlier.
Will look into bumping the power earlier into the build. Perhaps move some of my shields a bit further down.

White Dwarf Sublimation - This is what keeps you alive and I would try and get some more recharge into it.
Will see if I have enough spare slots from elsewhere to boost the recharge. Perhaps look for more rechg bonus all round.

I know it isn't always easy to follow advice like this, since it is generally - find more slots - but I would see which powers you use the least and try and take the slots from those. Although you will have saved a few slots from Nova and Solar Flare if you followed my advice.

Edit: All the above is nitpicking by the way - it does look like a good balanced build. The Nova slotting and the slotting on the heals is the only thing I would say is important to change.

Edit 2: I can't really see any place for Pulsar, or more strictly I can, but I can't see enough free slots and without good slotting I wouldn't bother with it.
